Cornette out w/ Bodies to deliver a quick promo setting up Barbed Wire Match. All of this makes it seem like a big card finally coming together. Best thing from SMW yet as far as building a show.

Lane's head gear is even more ridiculous than his hairpiece but at least they're working some old-school heat-drawing with it.

Quick promo with Cornette saying how the Fantastics are going to look like coleslaw when they get through with them in the barbed wire cage match at Fire on the Mountain. Stanfield continues to sell his ear problems (giving him the excuse to wear that laughable headgear to keep his syrup in place) and tells Caudle to quit shouting.

This was quick, and apparently the Bodies had done some kind of demonstration with the barbed wire earlier in the hour which we didn't get on the set. Corny's gloves looked a little weird, but looking at Stan's headgear is a million times better than looking at his toupee, which singlehandedly ages him about fifteen years.

 

Stan gets the line of the segment off right at the end, though, when he tells Bob to quit shouting. Along the same line, Corny has to apologize when he accidentally yells too close to Stan's "busted eardrum". It'll be interesting to see how far they go with this part of the story as the buildup to Fire on the Mountain continues.

I enjoyed Stan's selling of the ear standing next to Corny yelling out his promo a lot.  The heel schtick of using headgear after your head got shaved is such a fun trope of Southern wrestling.
