For anyone who cares my Blackwell thread at Classics has taken a turn for the worse with Farmer (who I generally like) calling Blackwell a "mediocre" draw and another McAdam troll job based on a cherry picking and bizarre interpretation of a two line analysis I made about a single house show in Milwaukee.

Odd thread.

I don't think Edge is going to make it. I thought he had higher than 18% of the vote last year. Is there really 42% of the voting pool that's been waiting for him to retire before deciding if he makes it in? What else has he done in the past year that's going to sell that many people that he deserves to make it in? I mean, as much as people loved the Kane feud last year, I don't think that's going to be enough. I think there will be a bump, but I don't see how he's getting that many more votes. Of course, I could be wrong.

He didn't lobby for Edge in the newsletter, though, only on the board. How many voters actually read that cesspool that weren't already voting for Edge?

I think between retirement and less American competition, he will see a spike, perhaps even a sharp one, but I think 18% to 60% is way too high. Maybe that's just blind optimism, though.

You may be right Cox. Wasn't the issue supposed to hit some time today?

Also McAdam got mad over at Classics and bowed out because I "uttered" his "shoot name." Believe it or not it wasn't intentional or done as a troll (I had forgotten he was in hiding as a result of his various "disappearances" with peoples money over the years - i.e. theft). I went ahead and edited it out but it's probably for the best. It really doesn't appear to be possible to even get some people (sadly a lot of whom may be voters) to admit that Blackwell has some positives as a candidate.

The suspense is killing me!!!! (It's up on the site, so the floodgates will open any minute now)

Anyway, while we're waiting, Dave mentions that next year "huge names" will be on the ballot for the first time. Cena is one and I'm guessing Danielson is another. Who else? Cena obviously gets in. Danielson, if Angle and Jericho (and maybe Sexton) are in, may have a chance with the voters I guess. Personally, I think he is good in the ring and has a subtle type of charisma that gets him over when given the chance, but no way can he be considered a hall of famer at this stage in his career. Maybe down the line if he somehow gets a serious main event run in WWE, but not yet.

So, any thoughts on next years crop?

Edit: Nevermind. Well, we can still talk about next year, but probably not for a day or two.

Iaukea gets the death bump/regional bump. I have no problem with him going in, but it's sad to see him go in before Colon (at least to me).

Walton getting in is really great. He deserved to the be the first Brit candidate elected.

Mixed feelings on Dr. Death.

Buddy Rose being on the ballot is great even if I think he is liable to drop off without a massive push to voters about his strengths.

TANAHASHI is eligible?! Wow.

He's been wrestling for 12 years now and been a main eventer in what's still considered the top Japanese company for atleast 6.

Also, anyone else thinks this means we finally get a Williams bio?

Bios on all 3 are in the issue

Happy Walton got in

Fuck adding Lesnar just cause it opens the flood gates for Meltzer's "Wrestling and MMA are the same thing, anyone who disagrees is an idiot" BS. You take away Lesnar's MMA succes and he has no case, he's Goldberg with a better work rate.
