Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Hogan says the OJ line Bix mentioned again. Hogan calls Sting, Savage and Luger vultures. He was unbearable by this point.
goodhelmet
Wait, so Hogan was burying the other faces?
FLIK
Oh yeah, I remember this. This was during his short pre NWO all black phase right? I recall it leading to a really good Hogan vs Sting match (I believe their first ever) on Nitro around this time.
Loss
Wait, so Hogan was burying the other faces? Yes. He said they were his "so-called friends".
Tim Evans
So was this a test of if Hogan could work as a heel or not? Cause I kinda like it. He was such a douche.
BackToBionic
I think they were trying to do a Superman III thing where he was progressively getting to be more and more of a dick (only not because of tar-lace kryptonite, instead because of washed up wrestlers with goofy gimmicks). I'm not an expert on 1995 WCW so I look forward to watching the rest of the year to see if there's a payoff moment where he goes back to being "good" but since it's WCW, I'm not counting on it. El-P
He even calls himself "the bad guy Hulk Hogan". So yeah, he was a gigantic douche, but he was always a gigantic douche anyway, but at least it was fitting his "darkside Hulk Hogan" character. PeteF3
They were trying to position all the top babyfaces as being in conflict with each other, because God knows it was the only way for there to be any intrigue in this feud with the Dungeon of Doom. Hogan butchers both a Bible verse and an FDR quote in the same breath. Hogan is whinier and more insecure now that he's in black, like an emo teenager, but isn't really committing to going all-in with this Dark Hogan gimmick.
