Mooney does his best Okerlund to stir crap up. Heenan tries to put over that it's every family, not man, for themselves but can't control the egos of his team members.

Kevin beat me to the punch as Mooney did a spot on Okerlund stirring the pot. I love these little segments based on how everyone acts.

Alright, is somebody trying to put every Andre the Giant promo from 1990 on this set? If so, bravo.

Top notch investigative journalism from Sean Mooney here as he senses tension brewing under the surface of the Heenan family and teases it out like Louis Theroux.

Dissension in the Family is teased here with Mooney playing up the every man for himself concept. Fun promo and Rick Rude is looking sleazy like always.

Andre tries to explain his strategy for dealing with fellow family members but Mooney cuts off the interview after stirring the pot. Made me laugh as he walked off still trying to get across his point.

If only they'd had the guts to do a Haku-Rude or Haku-Andre confrontation. Poor timing by whoever was directing; you should never go to an interview with only a few seconds left in a segment, especially with a ponderous talker like Andre. Heenan covers by waving his guys off hurriedly so Sean can throw it back to Tony and Jesse.

 

Segments like this make me wish that there had been more cohesion between wrestlers on both sides of the fence during the Hulkamania era. Then again, if Hogan needs help from mere mortal men, or if groups of mere mortals can set out to do him harm and succeed, is Hulkamania really the strongest force in the universe?

They don't play it up in the booth or give it much camera time but you can see him and Jimmy Hart have a conflict too.

Bobby Heenan, Rick Rude, Haku and Andre the Giant are backstage for an interview with Sean Mooney. That no good Mooney is stirring up trouble in the family! Mooney says that it is every man for himself in the Royal Rumble, but Heenan corrects him and says that it's every 'family' for himself. When he says that it could come down to Rick Rude and Haku as the last two men, Rude says that if that's the case, he'll do whatever it takes to win. Heenan and Haku aren't happy on hearing this, the family starts arguing amongst themselves and as Andre tries to say something, Heenan waves them all away (presumably to try and placate things away from the camera).

Another quick, effective WWF segment. Seems like a far cry from our current day WWE. It's a damned disgrace that the likes of Mean Gene and Mooney can go around, stirring the shit and getting away with it!
