Paige is miscast as a babyface, period.

Totally disagree. She is about the only diva who looks like the type of girl who would follow wrestling, and looks like a hotter version of the pale outsider girl that the typical overweight, black t-shirt nerdy wrestling fan believes he can date (delusional or not). From the way she looks and carries herself, she is the perfect face, and the ideal antidote to the blond model types who the girls hate and the boys can't date. She is almost like a CM Punk in that respect, a 'cooler' version of the typical fan.

The problem here is the abysmal booking. Her character needs to be less Mikey Whipwreck fighting against the odds, and more Daniel Bryan fighting against the tide, where she is fiery and competitive in the ring.

Haven't seen her NXT stuff so can't comment on that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in regards to camera angles and all that, I thought that Dunn was no longer really as "hands on" in the truck and was more of an executive that was in charge of general production and not necessarily the live editiing or whatever one calls it. Is that accurate or is he still calling the shots for every episode of RAW?

But I'm not sure Vince is all that interested in Paige appealing to the aforementioned demographic. Hasn't the consensus always been that Vince (and some other higher ups) are embarrassed by the prototypical wrestling fan? It wouldn't surprise me if Vince has a delusional view of the majority of his viewership and that people would prefer the blond model/barbie type. I know for me, as a pale person, I strongly identify with Paige and love her to death because she's showing the world that us milky white folks are people too. But I just don't know if Vince really cares about me. I think in his dream world, the type of guys who watch Raw are the Bros who are always out at the club chasing women and all that.

She has the potential to all of that, I agree - sort of like the Lita of her generation - but that isn't how she should have been debuted IMO.

She should have come in more like her NXT character - the bitchy anti-Barbie type - and then built up cheers and a face turn organically.

Debuting that character cold - no backstory, people knowing nothing about her, etc. - and expecting her to get over as a face was a very misguided strategy.

Even her pandering promo on the most recent NXT PPV shows just how miscast she is in that sweet, humble, nice girl, smiling all the time role. It was horrible.

The results speak for themselves. No one gives a fuck about her right now. You can make the excuse that she hasn't had the opportunity to be in longer matches, but her character isn't over either.

I can buy McMahon and Dunn not being into Paige as she isn't their type. Vince McMahon told Kaitlyn that Vince's ideal Diva as in what Kaitlyn should strive to be was Kelly Kelly.

That's horrible. Kelly Kelly was the quintessential Johnny Ace hire and contributed absolutely nothing for so long. Kaitlyn smoked her in every category. I'm struggling to think of anybody who was on the roster for as long as Kelly Kelly and was equally useless.

It's been a while since they've done one of these massive house cleanings

They need it, given how much the Network is costing them in this first year.

Still waiting on news about JTG... Will this FINALLY be the year? At least Brodus Clay, Teddy Long, and Evan Bourne were all marketable at one point, JTG has never done anything worth talking about.

I think the Drew firing is a huge mistake. But they had been burying the guy for years so I suppose it shouldn't be a surprise.

Watching Brodus Clay's last little run in NXT had me thinking he was long overdue for a release so at least there is that.
