Yeah Brock didn't look healthy at all. Don't want to make creepy comparisons but this gave me the same vibe I had at a house show I went to in 2005 or 2006 where Benoit's head looked like it was going to explode after a very good and very physical 20 minute match with Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Cena isn't beating Brock....they aren't going to job Brock out until Mania whoever he goes up against

this company doesn't have the balls to let their champ be off TV and PPV for 3+ months. He's totally dropping the title and it's highly likely it's back to Cena.
I'd say highly unlikely.

If they really want to create intrigue, Cena should put his career on the line and lose. Of course he'll come back eventually, but they can make a big redemption story out of it that culminates at Wrestlemania with a victory over someone and then leads to Cena-Brock at Summerslam next year.

I'm not so sure Brock's run of dominance shouldn't extend past Wrestlemania if they do it right. They've created such a strong heel that we shouldn't feel like the big win has to come at Wrestlemania 31. If Brock is still hot at that point, no reason not to sustain it.

Kinda like Lawler coming back to save Memphis from Bill & Buddy....that would work if Brock hadn't destroyed him on Sunday.

I think they could still do a Cena redemption story with Brock even though he got destroyed at SummerSlam. It's not what I would do though. This seems like their way of transitioning to the new era without having the next ace go over Cena to get there.

I feel like we should put some kind of wager down here. Me and Russellmania vs the mighty KrisZ and Mr. Zoo before any more Raws hit so there's no more "tenor" to pick up on.

I think Cena wins it back at NOC (to then lose immediately to Rollins, but that's beside the point) and that they did all of this just to pop the renewals for the network.

It seems like a lot of people are reading Cena getting destroyed as the sign his time is ending as the ace of the company. It always seemed like Vince was going to ride him until the wheels fell off, and unless he's in way worse shape than he lets on I don't see them not having him back on top. They're more attached to him than Linus is to his blanket. Cena's such a company man he won't fall into a trap of being more of a pain in the ass than he's worth like a lot of past top guys were, so I don't see any motivation for WWE to move past him.

I don't doubt that Cena will keep being the WWE's top guy for the foreseeable future, even as they try to shift the spotlight to others. I just think that having Cena even go toe-to-toe with Brock next month is such a massively stupid and nonsensical idea after that squash that even the WWE won't do it.

EDIT: I can also see what goc said in the above post, albeit more featured.

With all the replays and recaps that they do, they really should just steal from the territory days and have one of the people involved in the footage talking over it with Michael Cole, Renee Young, JBL, Lawler, whoever. It's a lot more effective way to put over the replay and have some of that dreaded character development that WWE seems to have forgotten how to do.

I want in on a bet. And I am betting on Brock keeping the title at NOC, even if he doesn't win the match per se.

Goc is the only one to step up so it's going to be me vs Goc.

What are the stakes?

A note of shame where the loser reviews in detail 5 (easily available) matches picked by the winner? You could toss five Davey Richards vs Eddie Edwards matches at me if you were an ass, or something interesting or outlandish or whatever.

Or do we want to put a moderately priced comp on the line here?

Put something up.

Let's do the note of shame idea. I'm going to need you to rewatch Regal/Zumhoffe for me.

This comes with a caveat that you can't use ridiculously long matches as a punishment. 20 minutes should really be the max even if they feel like hours.

I'm going to have to put some Wrestling from the Olympic on youtube and make you watch ancient John Tolos being called by worst announcer ever Jeff Walton.

Sam Houston is the worst you can do? I willingly watched all the Five Star Wrestling from 1990 I could find which was essentially the Grizzly Smith presents the Sam Houston & Rocking Robin hour w/a lot of old Mid-South guys like JYD, Akbar, Landell (the only real highlight) having stints before finding something better.
