Loss
Dusty is a riot on commentary. These two continue their streak of solid matches and surprising chemistry. It's hard to describe what makes this pairing work, but it does.
Childs
I've always liked this match-up, but they seemed a little off this time. Psicosis, especially, seemed to pause several times, deciding what should come next. And Regal had to stoop awkwardly to put his neck in the way of Psicosis' springboard to the floor. It's amazing to me that people were humorless enough to hate Dusty as an announcer.
soup23
A couple of awkward spots that childs mentioned, but still a load of fun. The mix of lucha and the brit mat work of Regal meld beautifully. Regal has a clever finish when his title feels in jeopardy as he gets himself DQ'd. He then gives a good promo to Lee Marshall saying that he would be the icon instead of Hogan and Piper if he was around in 1983 but instead he was beating people up at the Carnival. Dusty is glorious especially swooning over Robin, the ring attendant.
Kevin Ridge
Check out the fan in the prison stripes. Psicosis going all Choshu with the multiple lariats. Dusty was lots of fun on commentary. Regal puts in his claim as the icon of wrestling.
stomperspc
I listened to Regal on Colt Cabana’s podcast a little while back and Regal talks about how he took pride in people able to have a workable match with any wrestler of any style. How well he works here with Psicosis and all the Luchadores in general supports that notion. Good match.
El-P
This is everything to love about Saturday Night : a random pairing (Regal and Psych, really ?), a fun match, a midcarder actually getting time to cut a strong promo and Dusty being a riot. Him and Schiavone are so much fun together, it's a shame we had to suffer through a couldn't-care-less Heenan on Nitro, although one could argue Dusty's antics were more suited to the B-show. PeteF3
Fun match, but for a lot of outside reasons (i.e., Dusty and Tony having way too much fun on commentary--by the time Dusty talked about going deer-hunting in Psicosis' outfit--"They'd think ah wuz a doe o' somethin'"--I was losing it). The match itself is kind of awkward and secondary to the commentary, but still good. Oh, and let's not forget Psicosis successfully starting a "U-S-A" chant. Cheapo finish, but I do love Regal's reaction, and if this means another match between the two then I approve.
KB8
This is a really fun pairing and they had an awesome match on Nitro the previous December. There were some awkward moments this time out and it led to a few stop-starts, but it was pretty fun nonetheless. Maybe Lesnar watched this before the Rumble match with Balor because Regal took that Psicosis dive right across his neck. Dusty was a hoot on commentary as well and Regal's short promo afterwards was great. "I might just retire this bloody belt." I believe him, too.
