Continuing the same as the previous segment. They mention that he hasn't talked to Dusty in two years and that deep down, he just wants his father's approval.

Well, he’s way more effective on talking about his father issues than what Raven is doing. Dustin now has to deal with being on the road a lot with a young daughter.

I liked the subtle implication that Dusty might be watching Raw. I again don't know how to feel about these segments at all.

"I just want to have some fun with this character..." I smell the hand of Russo. I don't know if last week's segment really needed a sequel.

I actually think this kind of interview, in the intention that they were striving for, could work in this day and age. The idea of humanising a gimmick in an age where everyone knows the man behind it, seems like something you would try at least once. You can envision a well thought of worker getting a flamboyant gimmick and then, after a year, cutting a similar set of interviews as this where you get a good section of the crowd to get behind the "rejection" of the gimmick. It's interesting to see how something like a sit down interview has vastly different goals in 1997 than they do in 2016, but, fully understandable.

Pretty compelling stuff with Dustin talking about being a role model & a father. It gets even more touching when he addresses Dusty. After thinking about it some more, this would probably have been way better as a piece for Dustin Rhodes, the character, than Goldust. I do appreciate the attempt at humanizing Goldust & still think it was worth the try.
