Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler

- Not Ambrose's finest hour. I like his expressions and him as a wrestler but he and Dolph just looked off tonight. They also had a really heatless match.

Ambrose vs. Ziggler - US Title - This was a pretty good match. Ambrose looked really good here and Ziggler was trying some new things on offense and some of it worked. I enjoyed a few of the counters and Ambrose doing slow back rakes and shit.

Heatless match but I rather liked it. Might've been the match I liked the most overall tonight so far.

Match was not what you would expect from those two. I still think Ziggler is trying to figure out how to be a face.

PTP vs. The Shield

- Another heatless match but this was the best match of the night so far. Loved Titus in this. That Titus shoulderblock was nuts. Nothing to go out of your way to see but I look forward to the rematch.

Darren Young in Detroit doing a very recognizable Steiner spot is awesome. AND he apes Hero's spinning elbow off the ropes spot.

 

PTP have really turned into something good. And Rollins is absolutely ridiculous.

PTP's vs. Shield (Rollins/Reigns) - Tag Title - This was a fun tag match with Titus looking great, D. Young taking a few great bumps, and Rollins looking awesome. The finish was a little off but it was fine.

 

I can't believe myself but I think they're going to give Bryan the title tonight then take it away from him tomorrow on RAW thanks to Cody interference.

Bryan vs. Orton - WWE Title - Really good match that was great at times. Bryan's offensive flurries are such a blast and I liked Orton outsmarting him and rolling to the floor on his initial comeback. The fast count angle is amusing and it's going to be an entertaining show tomorrow because of it.

 

I'm not really sure how I feel about this fast count angle either to be honest. I'm just intrigued that they went this route.

Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan

 

- That's how the Nick Patrick count was supposed to go down at Starrcade 97. Anyway, good match, not near the level of the Cena Summerslam match. They let the crowd go home happy but the title won't be on Bryan for very long. The story continues.

not a MOTYC or anything but i thought that match was very good overall. some really great stuff like bryan's dive series, orton headbutting himself out of an arm wrench early on and the finishing sequence. dusty finish coming tomorrow but i dig it as getting over that bryan really is the best wrestler in the company and heightening the injustice of the angle.
