Strummer
Announced for Raw John Cena open challenge Nikki Bella v Naomi New Day v Kidd and Cesaro with Xavier banned from ringside A Brat Wyatt match And the return of Stephanie to WWE programming after nearly 2 months away. No doubt they were delaying Kane's face turn to wait till Steph could come back to TV and scream at him. I expect that to go down tonight
Strummer
Already sick of Triple and Stephanie being back. It was a nice couple months
sek69
It was refreshing to have a few weeks of babyfaces not getting their balls stepped on with no comeuppance.
Goodear
Meanwhile Sheamus and Ryback have a shit hot fucking match. Holy hell. Sheamus has been on fire since coming back after his injury.
Steenalized
Sheamus was on fire before his injury, he's been as good of a worker as the WWE has for a while.
Goodear
He was wrestling well but his character work wasn't there like it is now. Mostly because he didn't have a character so I don't blame him.
Goodear
Neville-King Barrett was too long for a match with such a foregone conclusion of an ending. Barrett has lost any momentum he had from the Bad News gimmick and its killed his heat. He should be moved down the card and settled into a midcard role. Neville going into a feud with Bo seems like a step down for him but I think his work from underneath was solid and his knee selling was effective. The Chief
Nice reaction for the Prime Time Players. Kind of looking forward to the tag team Elimination Chamber, seems like they've got some depth to the division.
Strummer
Owens! Awesome
...TG
Damn, that was a great segment. They need heels badly, but I didn't expect them to let Owens get over quite that much. And props to Cena - that's three top guys from NXT he's put over super strong.
hammerva
Holy crap that is how you put over a new heel. Stomping on the US Title is perfect show of disrespect. By the way when Owens is telling Cena that he has wrested longer than John Cena that is probably pretty close to accurate. I know Owens worked around 2000 near his rookie. I assume that the Prototype worked UPW around 1999 - 2000 but not sure
Matt D
Most telling is that the announcers didn't bury him.
Strummer
Lana is probably the most over babyface in the company now that Bryan is out. Her and Dolph should be a fun pairing although it looks like Rusev's days on top are over. Still looking forward to this program though
WingedEagle
That Owens debut was phenomenal. Really, really interesting how they've positioned him, Zayn and the NXT brand at this point but are perhaps hesitant to promote them. For all we know this is setting up Cena stepping in on Wednesday if Zayn is injured, as it feels way too soon for Owens to leave the territory. hammerva
So we give the real life relationship between Lana and Russev less than 6 months?
Strummer
Well it looks like they are going back to Steph v Brie. That didn't work out so well for Brie the first time
RazorbladeKiss87
Got home from work just in time to see the Owens/Cena segment. Wow. That was (hopefully) a star making segment. I honestly never saw Steen in this spot but I'm glad they seem to be running with it.
Strummer
Yup they are going to do Steph v Brie again. You would think Brie should go over. Hopefully
hammerva
Yup they are going to do Steph v Brie again. You would think Brie should go over. Hopefully How funny would it be if Nikki turns on Brie again Yeah a Steph vs Brie feud is a severe downgrade from that Steph and Ronda Rousey feud
Strummer
Owens v Cena at the chamber. Pretty awesome
WingedEagle
Okay, definitely intrigued now. Not sure if this is the beginning of the end of NXT as the standalone entity as we know it, Owens graduating a lot sooner than anyone expected or something in between, but its interesting. hammerva
Seriously if you bought a house show ticket at that show 3 weeks ago for about $20 thinking you were going to get some Roman Reigns vs Kane or Big Show street fight in the main, you got one hell of an upgrade
Strummer
That last segment went on forever. Good showcase for Ambrose I guess few other things. Bray once again goes over a popular upper midcarder. What top guy will he lose to in his next program? and have to love the way WWE books babyfaces. Brie goes right along and trusts Stephanie despite them having an ultra heated feud not even a full year ago. Why in the world would she trust her? Poor Brie is still the worst booked babyface in history. And she just turned a few weeks ago
El-P
So we give the real life relationship between Lana and Russev less than 6 months? That's the first thing I thought about to be honest. Which is kinda sad, really. And really, what is the reason for Lana to kiss Ziggler out of the blue ? Well. None. Well, yes. We need two blonde good looking babyfaces together. Are there actual *writers* behind this, or is it just Vince pulling his strings ?
goc
Rusev needs to absolutely destroy Dolph Ziggler and send him off to wherever the fuck he's going when his contract runs out in a few months. Oddly enough, I left at 10 and didn't see the final hour and I was fantasy booking Lana using Dolph Ziggler to make Rusev jealous but Rusev absolutely murdering him in response. Having Rusev catch a Zig Zag wasn't exactly what I had in mind.
