Beast
Wow, I am very interested in hearing what you guys cover. Impressively daunting subject.

MFoy
Awesome. And perfect timing for me since I'll be driving for like 3 hours tonight.
supremebve
Do we have to wait until you guys finish to get the list? I have a pretty slow weekend coming up, and you guys have already named a bunch of matches I'm interested in, but I haven't really had the opportunity to write them down. soup23
Sent you a PM of the list so far Supreme, Once the second part drops, we will post the entire list somewhere.
Karl
Cant wait to listen to this! Ranking 100 matches is just amazingly difficult....the top 20 must have been hell to decide upon.
peachchaos
Congrats on 3 years! I can't believe it's been 3 years already, but when I look through the playlist, I see how much ground you guys have covered in that time and it's amazing. Cool topic, should be very interesting to see where things place. Not sure if I could make a list like this myself!
WingedEagle
Cannot wait to listen to this. It'll be at least a few round trips in the car to/from work but should be a blast. Love these lists. What's the plan for 100?
RCS1988
I would guess Chad & Parv interviewing Jack Victory.
SomethingSavage
Got this one downloaded, but I'm gonna save it until Monday or Tuesday. Gotta long drive to Houston for work stuff next week, and this should help to keep the road rage at bay while wrestling with traffic and shitty drivers. Come to think of it, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if Part 2 has dropped by then. Just in case.

AndyLFC
Really enjoyed part one and I've been taking note of matches I may have missed over the years. Great work guys!
Superstar Sleeze
So much to say, hope I don't forget anything. I love Chad starts his list off with a bang with an exploding bomb death match and Parv goes the political route with the Savage vs DiBiase cage match.Chad, the Cena/Punk match was a watershed moment in my fandom also. I was in the doldrums in 2009-2010. I was just watching out of habit and had stopped watching older footage and puroresu altogether. That match spurred me to go to the next Wrestlemania as a graduation gift to myself, which totally rejuvenated my fandom. In the weeks, leading up to Wrestlemania, I was watching more older footage again and I decided I wanted to figure out what the greatest match to ever happen was. That journey led me here and I have never been the same. I am still on that journey. I recently rewatched the Cena/Punk match and it did not hold up as well for me either, but I am no hater like Parv. Thanks for the shout out! Really appreciate the kind words! I rate Savage/Warrior at 5 stars also and I ranked it the third best WWF match of the 90s when I watched every major 90s WWF match a couple years back. That post-match may be the best post-match angle in wrestling history. I think this is the pinnacle of Vince McMahon's booking and is one of the best demonstrations of his booking genius. I don't think he ever topped himself after this. I woke up in the middle of the night last night and had a hard time going back to sleep so I played the match that I think will be your number one and most assuredly will be in your top ten. i don't want to spoil anything, but God it is really not fair to compete with the All Japan boys. They are so freaky good. I don't blame you one bit for all the All Japan love. I marked out for Misawa/Ogawa vs KENTAFuji. Awesome match! I think I would have Misawa/Akiyama even higher than you did. I am way higher than everybody else it seems on this match, but dont sleep on Kobashi/Takayama 5/26/00 as the last great All Japan classic before the split. I hope Kobashi/Ogawa makes your list if not I recommend a rewatch. Parv, loved the AWA picks. Yes, you picked the correct Martel/Bock match, awesome selling in that one! Where's the World Class love, guys? Freebirds/Von Erichs! Hayes/Kerry! Flair/Kerry!Really looking forward to part two!
AndyLFC
Very happy to see Misawa v Akiyama have its place on the list and I also think it deserves a higher spot but anyway....watched it recently and it's a match that just gets better with time I think....tight snug state of the art heavyweight wrestling, great transitions, a heated Budokan with a molten finishing stretch that ended at just the right time and Akiyama looking like a star. I remember liking parts of the Cena/Punk at the time mostly for the rapid Chicago crowd and general atmosphere but I came away feeling the same with what Parv had mentioned about the finisher counter finisher rinse and repeat WWE main style that I found to be a bit tedious by the end. Maybe it deserves another spin...

JerryvonKramer
Hey Si, cheers for doing that. Unfortunately I'm going to be away till Saturday, so if you want me to drop in could you hold off till then? But other than that feel strangely honoured that you'd make a marathon based on our lists. I can't wait to get the 50-1 list out, I feel passionately about pretty much every single match in my top 50, there are none that I consider to be interchangeable. I've worked and reworked on refining the order and now feel happy with it. Whereas my 100-91 might easily be replaced with another nine matches I really dig but aren't quite classics. I also kinda wished I'd gone a bit higher with MX vs. Watts and Stagger Lee, on reflection 76 wasn't high enough.

shoe
I like Chad's diversity. Parv's feels like he's either done a podcast about the match or done a review on PWO about his favorites. I have a feeling 80% of his matches he has covered in depth somewhere. So those really make a cool companion pieces to his lists. Now I also think Chad has a ton of companion pieces like podcasts and yearbook reviews too. Though not as much as Parv, because I feel Chad would rather watch more wrestling than get as bogged down as Parv writing reviews .Thus why Chad's list is a bit more diverse. Good stuff boys. bradhindsight
A big congrats to Where the Big Boys Play for reaching their milestone 75th show. It was quite an honor to be on episode 50 (fantasy draft and booking winner, plus the debut of Evil Jim Herd) and Starrcade '90 (heavily boosted my drawing credentials given the numbers). The time and passion put into this top 100 exercise was impressive - and something I can't wait to see evolve as you guys delve into different material. WTBBP is and will always be a pillar at Place to Be Nation. When we launched it was one of two shows (with PTB of course) that we built things off of. I'll always remember building and firing off all those archived shows right as we launched the site on June 1, 2013. From there we've grown into so much more, and WTBBP is really at the genesis of that.
