Timbo Slice Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 Yeah, but I don't think Roman is moving merchandise like Cena did or still does. Quote
Loss Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 John Cena is pulling down about $10 million per year in income, if that tells you how big the merchandise gap is between him and everyone else. Quote

Jesus, that's probably more than Austin did in his best year. Is Cena actually outselling Austin at his peak in merchandise? Quote
Loss Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 Austin made $13 million in his best year, so probably not. But merch is also higher priced and Cena has so much variety that that's how he's able to make so much. Dave rolled out the $10 million figure just a few weeks ago. Quote

jcmmnx Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 $13,000,000 in 1999 is equal to $18,705,035 in 2015. So no Cena isn't close to what Austin was doing. Quote
joeg Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 I would very much like to know- How much merch DX was moving circa 98-99, how much the nWo was moving 97-98, and how much CM Punk was moving 2011-2012? WWE hypes DX in their own history so much, nWo was so such a big deal, and supposedly Punk was outselling Cena those years. Quote
