The scene comes up in a beachside bar in Hawaii. It is full of happy revellers. Sitting at the bar are Curt Hennig and Barry Windham. Hennig is wearing a tropical shirt and white slacks, Windham jeans and a black t-shirt. Both men are holding beers, Windham has a couple of empties in front of him on the bar top. They turn to the camera, smiling.

Hennig : Hello, PCW fans! It's been a big and busy year for the Brigade. I was able to win the Pacific Heavyweight Title from Nick Bockwinkel, and Barry here ran the One Man Gang out of town. Now, we did have some losses in the ranks. Konnan , Ron Simmons and Dingo Warrior all moved on to new opportunities, and I am sure they will go on to do incredible things. But don't worry. We are looking for new members and have some great prospects lined up. There are big things in store for the Brigade in 1988.

Windham unsteadily puts his arm around Hennig's shoulder.

Windham : (slurring) PCW, get ready for a surprise. Expect the unexpected!

Hennig gives Windham a puzzled look, but goes back to smiling.

The scene come up on back country roads in Alabama. Initially, it is quiet, but soon, a souped up car comes charging along the road, with a police car in hot pursuit. In the front of the car are two fair haired young men, hooting and hollering. "Suspicious Minds" by Elvis Presley plays loudly on the car stereo. It starts to look like the police car might just catch up, but the other car pulls a Bootleg turn and reverses direction. The police car attempts to do the same, but just ends up in a ditch. The two police get out of the car and have no choice but just stare at the other car as it vanishes into the distance. The shot fades to black and the text appears on the screen :

The scene comes up on a run down building with a sign on the front that says CONDEMNED. One can hear the sound of sledgehammers at work. The camera goes into the building and one sees two powerfully built blonde men with sledgehammers knocking down a wall. They are wearing construction helmets and are bare chested apart from construction vests. The sweat is flying off them as they destroy the wall. They then notice the camera. They both hoist their sledgehammers over their shoulders and give a surly look to the camera. The shot fades to black and the text appears on the screen :

The scene comes up on Waikiki Beach. Sitting in a beach chair is "Playboy" Buddy Rose. He is wearing swimming trunks and sunglasses, and a pair of bikini clad beauties apply sun lotion to his considerable form. He holds a fruity tropical drink in his hand. He gives the trademark Buddy Rose grin to the camera.

Rose : Greetings, PCW fans! It's good to be the Playboy! Just enjoying a well earned rest on the sunny sands of Waikiki along with my good friends from the Diamond Exchange.

The camera turns and shows that , further along the beach, "Diamond" Timothy Flowers, "The Cuban Assassin" Angel Acevedo and Buzz Sawyer are all sitting in their own beach chairs with beers in their hands. Rose raises his drink in a toast to the Exchange, who raise their beers in response.

Rose : As you can see, there is just me representing the Playboy Club today. But don't you think for a second that I don't have big plans. The Playboy all has a few tricks up his sleeve. And in 1988, Pacific Coast Wrestling will belong to the Playboy Club and the Diamond Exchange!

The scene comes up on an American flag waving in the breeze. The shot dissolves to a flying American eagle. It continues to dissolve to various Washington, DC patriotic sites. The Washington Monument. The Lincoln Memorial. The White House. Finally, the Capitol Building. The camera comes down to the Capitol Steps. Standing at the top of the steps are two muscular men with their arms folded. They both are wearing masks. One in the pattern of an American Flag, the other with a pattern of an Eagle. The shot fades to black and the text appears on the screen :

The scene comes up on a peaceful lake in the mountains of British Columbia. Sitting cross-legged on a pier is a man with long hair. He is wearing black pants, a black shirt, and a black leather jacket as well as sunglasses. He has his head lowered and appears to be deep in meditation. He raises his head, then slightly lowers his glasses, showing cold eyes. His faces slowly shifts to a slight, sinister smile. The shot fades to black and the text appears on the screen :

The scene comes up on a ritzy cocktail bar in Honolulu. Nick Bockwinkel, martini in hand and dressed to the nines as always, is chatting with a beautiful woman in a slinky dress. He turns to the camera.

Bockwinkel : Greetings and salutations, cretinous humanoids! *cheeky grin* In 1987, it has been your privilege to have me as your Pacific Heavyweight Champion. It was a great run, but now it has ended. What has the future in store for Nick Bockwinkel? Well, I will drop by on New Years Day with a special message to let you know. Until then … (toasting the camera with his martini glass) Happy Holidays!

The scene comes up in the jungle. Trees and foliage, sounds of birds and animals. The camera pans, it seems to catch movement but it is indistinct. The camera shot settles on one spot, and eventually , a figure emerges from the jungle. He is a man wearing a cat styled mask and cheetah patterned wrestling gear. He is crouched , stealthy, and moves with power and grace. And then, quick as that, he is gone. The shot fades to black and the text appears on the screen :

The scene comes up at a busy casino. There is a busy craps table and many people are gathering around to see the excitement. Two men in flashy clothing with curly mullets are standing at the table. The each have lovely ladies on their arms. The lighter haired man has the dice and passes it to both women to blow on it before he makes the roll. We don't see how they land, but evidently very well, as everyone including the two men and their ladies start cheering. The darker haired one turns to the camera and gives a cheesy grin. The shot fades to black and the text appears on the screen :

The scene comes up on a busy restaurant at brunch time. Bob Backlund, Chris Candido and Jim Neidhart are sitting around a table. On the table are plates piled high with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, and other breakfast delights . In front of each of them is a tall glass of milk, with pitchers of milk also on the table. Candido reaches out to sneak a piece of toast, but Backlund spats his hand.

Backlund : No! Not until grace is said! Neidhart! Offer the blessing!

Neidhart : (folding his hands and muttering) LordblessthisfoodtoouruseandustothyserviceinJesusnameweprayAmen.

Backlund and Candido : Amen!

Backlund : Tuck in, gentlemen.

Candido and Neidhart start piling food onto their plates and eagerly digging in. Backlund turns to the camera.

Backlund : Greetings, plebians! As you can see, a healthy breakfast is an important part of a pure and righteous life. Of course, we are going out for brunch on Saturday, as Sunday is a day of worship. We have done our best to bring the truth to Pacific Coast Wrestling. But it seems that there are some people who just refuse to see the light. Al Snow and Gary Young have both fallen from the path and have been excommunicated from our ranks. But we will persevere. The Knights Templar will continue our crusade and spread enlightenment throughout the vice ridden west coast. That is all. You are dismissed.

The scene comes up at a dark, grungy bar. Most of the people in the bar are wearing leather and other black clothing. "Ride The Lightning" by Metallica plays of the bar's sound system. At a booth in the back of the bar we find Tex- , errr, The Undertaker, Maxx Payne, and Paul Bearer sitting together. Undertaker and Payne are both holding bottles of beer, while Bearer holds a glass of red wine. The all look up and glare at the cameraman, who wisely beats a hasty retreat. Fade to black.

The scene comes up on, of all places, the Hollywood sign at night. Lit up with spotlights, there are clouds overhead and rain is starting to pelt down. In front of the sign stand two men. One is a bearded bruiser wearing a tunic with a shovel slung over his shoulder. The other is a blonde haired man with a white shirt and wearing a long black cloak. He turns to the camera and one can see that a viscous red liquid is dripping from his mouth. He turns to the camera and gives an evil grin, showing in his mouth there are a pair of sharp fangs. Suddenly, lightning cracks the sky … and just like that, they are gone. The shot fades to black and the text appears on the screen :

Last one. Was originally planning on stringing the out a bit more, but I was unable to work on these for a while, and then got on a streak and ran with it. Have to make some re-writes of what I have so far of my New Years Special then get back to the rest of my first shows of the new year. Glad you guys enjoyed these, they were fun to do.
