Mad Dog
Squaredcircle on reddit is okay if you realize there is some good humor and ideas buried in a sea of stupidity.
sek69
I've found out reddit isn't too bad on the sections where actual moderation takes place.

I'd rather not wade through a sea of stupidity. Boards like this are much more my style, where there's very little stupidity and what's there gets stamped out pretty quickly. 8 minutes ago, sek69 said: I've found out reddit isn't too bad on the sections where actual moderation takes place. There are definitely a lot of great non-wrestling Reddit pages, but have you found any good ones for wrestling?

That's the kicker though. A lot of subs get ruined by moderators being fuckheads.

Honestly the only wrestling related one I went to was for the WWE Network.
Jmare007
How the hell did this promo not make TV?! This is the only dude on the roster that makes wins and loses matter, put his opponents over and finds a spin to look forward his stuff even with bullshit 50/50 booking Again, give him all the belts. C.S.
Wasn't expecting Dolph to return and beat the living shit out of Kofi. If they had booked Dolph like that years ago, they may have been able to salvage him.
Badlittlekitten
That was fucking brilliant. Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler of all people brining the goods there.
Badlittlekitten
One of the best segment I’ve seen in bloody ages actually. Brutal.
sek69
Funny, it just came up as a mailbag question on WO Radio the other night about Ziggler's status. Dave was saying they were trying to make him an agent since they didn't have any plans for him (hence the reason he's been off doing stand up gigs). Guess they came up with something. C.S.
A shame if this is wasted on the Saudi show.

Jmare007
Taker vs Goldberg at parts unknown. MBS the GOAT 90's booker.
C.S.
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!!! I actually loved that promo from Dolph. It felt like a "shoot" in that you know he probably really does feel that way. Shame it's a once and done for that Saudi bloody money. Strummer
Yeah I actually really liked that Dolph promo. For a second I thought they were going to reveal Heyman had paid him off to soften up Kofi for Brock or something of that nature
Jmare007
I think my issue with Dolph's promo is that I just don't care about him at all and I can't get into anything he says any more. It came off as goofy and poorly acted. A jealousy angle is whatever. But I can see how other (most?) people would feel different.
Strummer
Yeah I know but with the amount of heat they are putting on Shane makes me think they are going to write him off tv with Roman killing him. I know...
sek69
It's like, with Kofi there's never really been any time (other than that one years ago that ended with the Orton match) where he was ever given the chance to run with the ball. Dolph was given chance after chance and never really made it, so a jealousy angle really isn't earned.

Midcard-wise, they've both had relatively the same amount of success.
SomethingSavage
Dolph felt crazy over for awhile in 2012 and 2013. People were really into him while he held the briefcase - all the way through that Cena feud, the AJ Lee association, and especially his title win over Berto. In fact, I still think that double-turn PPV match with Del Rio is one of the best, most well-rounded performances you'll ever get out of Dolph. In the category of "given chance after chance and never really made it", I mean... Yeah. He's guilty. But he ain't Seth Rollins. He's had a few different startups that were done a major disservice by bad booking and weak follow-through. The 2013 turn, the 2014 Survivor Series, and the IC title program with Miz all immediately spring to mind. And I wouldn't be all that surprised if there were one or two more I'm overlooking. Like, Dolph isn't exactly my favorite worker by ANY stretch of the imagination. But neither is Kofi. And I've been so pleasantly surprised by how well that whole angle worked out. I'm not about to sit here and say Dolph couldn't have pulled that off, given the same story, the same spot, and the same opponent in Daniel "Das WunderKING" Bryan. Jmare007
Hasn't Dolph done this "it should be me!" shit enough times though? I lost count how many times it was about "I should be doing better/have that spot because I steal the show!"
SirEdger
Great segment and great promo by Dolph. I guess that KO isn't going to Saudi Arabia after all? I think it's the only logical explanation for having Dolph appear out of nowhere to wrestle Kofi.
