Graham Crackers
What are the odds Vince appears with Trump at WrestleMania?
strobogo
Shit I wouldn't be that surprised. Vince and talk about Vince was all over that WM 9 doc, HHH was talking about him a quite a bit in his Rosenberg interview. He's been referenced a number of times in promos in the lead up to WM this year. I think the main thing stopping it would be Vince himself likely would not do an appearance if he wasn't in charge of everything.
El-P
7 hours ago, strobogo said: If Punk had any principles he projects to have, he should no show WM and walk out again. He absolutely should. Too bad he's all about being performative only. Also, Roman Reign's reasons for supporting Trump make him sound dumb as a brick (not that there are any good ones, but at least the usual anti-trans, anti-women's right, anti-foreigner, basic racist shit is more honest, ya see). On many levels. Especially coming from a Samoan cancer survivor, if you catch my drift. The "empathy" displayed for Janel Grant is also pretty fucking cringe, with the "it has to be embarrassing" line. Trump getting the Tribal Chief treatment *JUST NOW* is incredible. Who booked this shit ? Also, Stephy's first podcast guest is Dana White. Mania 40 was the beginning of the brand new era (lulz). Then there was the Netflix era (which really hasn't panned out as played, apparently). Mania 41 is the beginning of the MAGA Era. Have fun everyone. And don't forget to send hearts to the crowd like Elon does !

KingBoggs33
Can we now go back to talking about wrestling only. This whole political discussion is annoying AF and just turning people off from wanting to post here cause they are afraid they will be bashed and called names for enjoying the product that brought us all here. strobogo
Bro the nuke can be dropped directly on my house. Let me the fuck off this ride. WWE top stars and C-suite fuckos are talking about politics. The last page or two is directly from HHH and Roman Reigns talking about Trump in WM media week. Get fucked, geek.

What bullshit. WWE is actively displaying their politics in PR interviews literally arranged by them, but somehow talking about this triggers the fragile people who do not wish to admit that the promotion they like is actively complicit in the fascist bullshit happening in the world. If you are so afraid that the meanies are going to judge you for liking WWE, feel free to post on Elon Musk's Twitter instead of whining and crying and demanding to talk to the manager here. Who exactly is stopping you from talking about wrestling? All you need to do is not click on the thread which explicitly focuses on how WWE is bad, and post in the many other threads about the wrestling in WWE. Why can't you do that? Why does it upset you so much that people post about the awful shit that WWE does in the thread explicitly focused on exactly that topic? "They are afraid they will be bashed", get over yourself. Sorry that the wrestling promotion you like is going out of its way to make its politics extremely clear.

The whining is hilarious though when 95% of the online discourse is about how WWE is awesome and the best and how Papa Trip is cooking and saving wrestling. I guess it's another case of running alongside the domination system yet still playing the victim. WWE is throwing politics at you, right at your face. Now more than ever. It seems they are feeling free to finally drop the mask (not that it made any kind of illusion) these last few weeks. But hey, YEEEET YEEEET YEEEET and shit, I guess. "No politics in my pro-wrestling" doesn't fly in 2025. It really never did, but now less than ever.
El-P
Oh, and by the way : https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/18/movies/john-cena-wrestlemania.html "I don’t care who hears it: I love Vince. I’m not downplaying anything that needs to be decided or allegations, but when I love somebody, I love them wholeheartedly. I know people are going to be angry about that, but they can’t put their value on my relationship with somebody I love." John Cena. I think they are actively trying to complete a bingo card of being utter pieces of shit. (and it's also probably done on purpose to see if that will affect their business or not, in which case they will go more and more into the UFC route of full-on fascist manosphere. They already had racist pseudo-comedian doing guest commentary. One day you'll see Andrew Tate in the audience) (sorry for the hurt feelings of eventual lurkers afraid to post on this forum though. Hearts to you)
strobogo
Cena saying that is more surprising than anything because he's always very stonefaced opaque about anything remotely controversial and it feels very out of character to say something that even could generate controversy. I hate to tell you this but I’m not the only that feels this way. Why do you think participation is down on this site. Cause idiots like you want to preach to everyone that your ideas and morals are above everyone else’s. NintendoLogic
The Harris campaign objectively did a good job. None of you are ready for that conversation, though. As for Punk, expecting him to walk out of the company and subject himself to a breach of contract lawsuit just because the company's executives support the current administration is extremely unreasonable. Nobody expected WWE's Canadian wrestlers to quit after Trump threatened to make Canada the 51st state. By the way, Punk also said the following: "I don’t think the company (WWE) wants us to be outwardly political. I don’t think, and I do feel there is probably different rules for different people. I don’t talk about politics with Triple H, Paul Heyman, Roxanne Perez. It’s 24/7 wrestling. I think it’s pretty obvious what my ‘politics’ are." I'm a bit surprised to see Heyman on that list since he supposedly liked to give AJ Styles grief about being a smooth-brained conspiracy theorist (then again, that did come from rovert, so you have to consider the source). C.S.
8 minutes ago, NintendoLogic said: I'm a bit surprised to see Heyman on that list since he supposedly liked to give AJ Styles grief about being a smooth-brained conspiracy theorist I don't think Punk is necessarily implying anything about Heyman (or Roxanne Perez, for that matter). I get the impression that he's just listing examples of his buddies in the company and explaining that he never discusses politics with them - which, you know, sounds pretty normal to me in a work environment. As for Styles, if he's spoken publicly about the flat-earth stuff and "the gay community," that's on him. Heyman and Perez don't openly babble unintelligent gibberish. strobogo
Punk is different because he makes sure to make his political views known and wants people to know them, he's wealthy and doesn't need the job, and has leverage within the company. And what the company is representing is completely antithetical to what he makes sure you know he stands for. I don't think it is unreasonable for people to think that Punk, specifically, should leave that place ASAP. But then he was in a segment with Tony Hinchcliffe and Bert Kreischer so. As for flat earther AJ Styles, that was Danielson trolling him in some interview and it somehow stuck as truth for 10 years now, which is lol.
