I heard Jim Ross question who was the legal men... in a cage match.

It is perfectly placed in that regard on the card though. You get a sense they are trying to one up each other which I think adds to their rivalry. I think the Bucks have done a good job of getting the crowd to boo them.

Mad Dog Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 That golf kick to the balls was another great spot.

Coffey Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 That was a great near fall. The crowd was so deflated.

Makai Club #1 Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 This has been good inspite of itself.
MoS Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 Even if they had not said it, outright multiple times, it is abundantly clear from some of the booked spots that the Bucks were Shawn Michaels fans growing up
Mad Dog Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 The Bucks really are great heels. They have made the LuchaBros look like gods in this match.
Coffey Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 A top rope Canadian Destroyer didn't even get a pinfall attempt. One of my biggest complaint about AEW is how often death moves are just barely near falls, if that. The bar has been raised so much you don't even know what a finish is anymore. Nevertheless this match has been nuts & Dave will give it at least five stars.
Jmare007 Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 That was fucking ridiculous but it a really good way. 4 for 4.
C.S. Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 That ended up being pretty damn good. Wow!
MoS Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 Lol I dunno how Penta was magically unaffected by the crazy crossbody off the top of the cage, but Rey Fenix is so awesome, I don't give a shit. Credit to the Bucks, they made Fenix and Penta look like mega stars. This was good shit, easily my favourite Bucks Lucha match ever.
Coffey Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 Also, just wanna reiterate my point: the match was great. It was insane. They did everything. Told a great story. Had the crowd in the palm of their hand. I'm not complaining, it was just an observation about how much pro wrestling has changed.
Mad Dog Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 This PPV has been great so far. The rest could suck and I got $50 worth.

Like a "We're hear to have fun and watch wrestling" type show. This is not a criticism.
Tenese Sarwieh Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 This show has been damn near perfect so far.
Mad Dog Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 They really do feel like WCW right before the nWo hit. It's like they just need that spark.
Jmare007 Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 How pressed are they to finish this at 11PM? because there's still this battle royale and 3 more matches left that shouldn't go short either.
Coffey Posted September 6, 2021 Report Posted September 6, 2021 First time I ever saw Skye Blue was as NWA Powerr fodder & she immediately caught my attention & I said she would be a star. That ovation she just got was pretty cool.
