Hobbs was very impressive working on top.

Is Dan Lambert a known U.S personality? I have no clue who he is but was really impressed at the promo he cut. That was a lot of words and he didn't even slip once.

Do you like Lambert's act, fellas? He speaks very well specially under pressure but is the content of what he just said relevant? Is him essentially calling your newest signees vanilla midgets a good thing when many new eyes are tuning in?

He is he owner of MMA's biggest gym. He is not particularly well known outside of MMA circles, but he has always been a great performer, and they are basically using him as a Jim Cornette surrogate

I think Lambert's act is good, gives them an avatar for the fans to rally against. Like how Paul E used to use the specter of the WWF as the always looming unseen villian.

Yeah, I don't really like the content. I don't know if shitting on the promotion and all its wrestlers is good heat. Jim Cornette would never use the term vanilla midget for instance. And it makes no sense for him to shit on smaller guys, given his team's biggest star right now is Dustin Poirier, who is 5'9" and fights at 155 pounds.

One of the reasons some of MJF's nasty burns don't really land for me is because I have seen him on Twitter and he just doesn't seem witty enough to come with them on the fly. They seem therefore very rehearsed, in a promotion where most promos sound natural and authentic. It's an issue with me, I admit.

That segment was something, performed well but all the cheap heat was a bit much.

Like the mirror version of a 2000 Foley promo

Well, if you’re gonna go cheap with the heat, might as well go really cheap.

Eh, MJF’s edge lord shtick gets cheap even for an edge lord sometimes and that was one time for sure.

Yeah, by the second time he was using the "going to do what Melanie should have done" phrase, I was like dude we get it

i thought it was great because they made that kind of material work after having just recently gone through the whole Max Caster thing - would be very easy to just shy away from anything nearly that edgelord as a rule.  Also, most importantly, it made Brian Jr. look like a top babyface
