I think you're reading into this too much, honestly.

Everything can evoke Vince if you think about it hard enough.

It did, and as soon as Melo came out in the all black I knew Trick was gonna get got. Amazing how they waited until Melo got the callup before they finally got around to pulling the trigger on the turn. NXT used to be so much better at timing the blowoffs to when folks were about to graduate, now it almost seems like OVW where they don't even pay attention to what the developmental group is doing which is weird considering who's running it.

I assume Melo will do double duty until the NXT show on WrestleMania weekend and put Trick over strong there.

NXT show was really good from top to bottom. I never expected a random ass tag team with Bron being the thing to make me turn the corner on Corbin, but here we are.

 

I appreciate them trying to teach Roxanne to be a heel, but there's just something about her that just doesn't work as a the bad guy. I just don't buy her as a threat unless Ava has some big Samoan ladies she can call to be her bodyguards. Her being the Jimmy Hart type pipsqueak hiding behind her larger charges is the only way I can see heel Roxanne work.

This is where bringing somebody like Kamille to be her muscle could help. As you said, you can then have her work as the Jimmy Hart type of heel (or "runt" as Gorilla Monsoon would've said) while Kamille could do the heavy lifting.

Roxanne didn't come across as heelish tbh. There was frustration because she never lost her belts, but to me the actual heel was Lola Vice - and by the way, while she whiffed on most of her kicks, they looked very fluid. If she finds that balance to lay them in while making it look pretty, it's gonna be great.

Hell, even all the Twitter/X #WeWantCody shit with the official WWE account constantly reposting shit to bait people into arguing about Cody/Rock in the comments feels like they're purposefully trying to distract people into something else; to draw attention away from the lawsuit & allegations. Let's look outside the bubble at real life: Cody Rhodes is a fucking millionaire, he's gonna be alright regardless of if his worked match goes on last or not. Can we get some justice for the woman that was gang raped at WWE offices?
