Timbo Slice
A show that has weeble wobbled its way to a decent build. I know there will be good payoffs in the matches, but the cohesion of the entire company right now leaves a lot to be desired.
El-P
Business as usual I'm guessing. People probably bitched about the weekly shows (I have followed from way afar, since I'm way behind and wanted to avoid major spoilers). Then PPV is awesome with great matches galore. Rince/Repeat. 5 years is a lifetime. What a ride this has been. Hopefully more to come.

MoS
lol that was a Kane-like top rope move by Copeland. He was completely vertical, didn't get even an iota of the table
The Thread Killer
+1,000,000 points for Swerve for The Warriors references…which I sadly fear will sail right over the heads of 99% of the audience.
sek69
FTR with long tights just seems weird to me

Jmare007
I think I liked both women's matches the most. I hope Mercedes can stay healthy for a while, she's too damn good in the ring. And even though she's an awesome, awesome babyface, a really wanna see heel bully Willow run at some point.
SirEdger
Doing a hanging spot with Darby while Martha Hart was in the building sure was a choice.

KawadaSmile
Darby using a flamethrower is batshit insane and you can bet your ass some low rent indie shit will try that without all the safety precautions.

Thing is, the part everyone hated lasted as long as the stuff people liked. I don't think fans are eager to watch MJF vs Cole right now, the whole Undisputed Kingdom has been a complete DUD since its inception at Worlds End. Roddy could do the matches and comedy/fuckery on his own and be in the same place and just as over as right now and everyone else has zero impact on the product. MoS
I really liked Swerve-Christian, even with all the bullshit interferences. It had the struggle in the basic exchanges I really value, made the big spots stand out much more. I love Dragon, but I am kind of getting tired of him eating a pin pretty much every time he is in the ring. This has been brought up before, but at what point does it stop being selfless and becomes, well, selfish? Tonight wasn't one of the worse instances, and the match definitely was crazy - owing to Darby, the man is insane, one of the best wrestlers of the modern era without any hesitation - it is more the pattern that annoys me. EnviousStupid
Max is definitely the type to watch The Wolf of Wall Street and make the fraud character his new personality. I can at least appreciate the sincerity there.
Jmare007
Fractured tibia for Copeland. Long injuries finally end, other long injuries show up. The AEW cycle.
The Thread Killer
Who knew that being a 50+ year old guy and jumping off the top of a steel cage and landing directly on your leg could be so dangerous?
strobogo
Shocking that Edge lasted that long without an injury considering he's been very injury prone since 2003ish and has been working a weekly schedule of real twerkrate style

strobogo
Lol what. Dbryne taking falls because it can't hurt him and can only help whoever pins him being selfish because he doesn't want to be the top guy in the victory lap of his full run career is some peak smark nonsense talk. NintendoLogic
The Danielson retirement tour is pretty self-indulgent, but it can't really be described as selfish. The difference between the two is that the latter involves the pursuit of self-interest or personal gratification at the expense of the bigger picture. I don't think you can argue that AEW is being harmed by Danielson putting people over or his opponents are being harmed by beating him. It's also simply inaccurate to say he loses every time he steps in the ring. He's won 72 percent of his matches this year according to Cagematch and his only singles losses were to Okada, Sabre, Kingston, and Ospreay. He still keeps himself strong enough that beating him means something.
