  1. There’s some intriguing stuff. But good lord I have no desire to sit through eight hours over two nights to see it.
  2. That behavior is reserved for people who don’t belong in the locker room.
  3. MLB has solicited for the All Star game the past few years.
  4. Talk less. Smile more. WWE creative is being run by Aaron Burr, sir.
  5. The age gap is big, as is the build. There are problems to being Keith Lee's size and 37 years old that aren't unique to WWE's style.
  6. 1975: Terry Funk, Nick Bockwinkel, Andre the Giant 1985: Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat 1995: Bret Hart, Cactus Jack, Sabu 2005: John Cena, Eddie Guerrero (ugh), Rey Mysterio 2015: Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar, Sasha Banks 2025: MJF, Bron Breakker, Bianca Belair

The year is 1991. Sgt. Slaughter enters the LA Coliseum to “Real American.” Hogan enters with white trunks, an atomic bomb shaved in his chest hair and Freddie Blassie by his side. I’m visibly confused. “You don’t understand wrestling,” 100,000 fans scream to me in unison.

    Mad Dog Vachon FTW
  9. I love how their press release stated Russia was losing WWE content INCLUDING WRESTLEMANIA 38! Never stop shilling.

Even Sting would not have fallen for that.
  11. That’s probably not unique to WWE. Opioid abuse became an epidemic and I don’t think we realized at the time that it was an issue outside the wrestling bubble as well. This is speculation, but I wonder if the mid ‘90s crime bill drove people away from marijuana at the same time.
  12. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Spoiler as a legacy pick.
  13. I’m guessing Vince responded positively if he’s getting a tv show.

The gimmick was silly, but did Dusty speak ill of the way he was actually treated in the WWF for that run? It felt like he and Vince had a mutual understanding of what each brought to the relationship. I think if Cody is on the outs with Tony Khan and AEW this is probably the best business decision for him.
  15. Phil, did you happen to catch Biff Busick vs Slade from Day 91? Tremendous bloodbath

If the forbidden door doesn't coincide with a Midnight Rider gimmick someday I'll be a little heartbroken.
  17. I thought one of the interesting subplots of the Rumble from an inside perspective is it was the first time Lesnar and Riddle met in a ring. That must have been an interesting conversation.
  18. The book Les Miserables describes the protagonist Jean Valjean as someone of prodigious strength. That's a character detail that kind of gets lost in adaptation but it makes that a character Batista would be perfect to play someday.
  19. It’s not why Lesnar would do it. It’s that Lesnar was allowed to claim a spot, there was an open spot in the first place and how that spot happened to be #30.
  20. The only booking qualm I have is that there’s no kayfabe explanation how Brock gets to show upon that spot. But that’s probably a me problem. This show didn’t have any bad matches or obvious booking blunders. It was just dull. fwiw, my wife watched the first two hours with me and the one part she woke up for was Rhea Ripley coming in and kicking ass.
  21. Surprised we didn’t get Orton/Riddle turning on each other.
  22. Can you imagine your mom picking you up from school dressed like that?
  23. Only complaint is Roman didn’t go and hit the guy holding the Conrad head too.
  24. This pod was tremendous as well in a different direction from last week's. Grinco Loco came off as a great person to root for.

Loving your hometown when it's a crummy place is still a charming quality.
