Steve Austin using the Fuller Leglock in 1994.

to be fair, they taped it on July 4th, and they aired the angle on the same day as 7/7. I forget if anybody ever settled the question about if they could have removed the footage with under 24hrs notice So, doing that angle in the first place is a bad idea. I don't know if you could say that the timing was the worst part of it since the WWE obviously didn't have notice of possible terrorist threats.

I forgot an Option C for Hogan earning money in the future: it involves trying to scrounge up money from a Japanese source for special appearances in Japan.
-
similar thing to Mike Tyson. who has had a pretty remarkable evolution in how he's perceived from the 90s to now. Hogan's options probably involve either: (a) traveling evangelist carny, ( b ) some sort of reality show rehab.
-
so they'll bring the Bushwhackers aboard to be the guest GMs for Australia under the premise that the WWE logistics people forgot about the differences between Australia and New Zealand.

my apologies to the Tharpe family, but his voice kinda came off like Darrell from Storage Wars. I also think I might need to listen to any Sullivan podcasts with earphones because that accent and volume can be hard to parse at times.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Cobra Commander replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
am I the only one that thinks Rollins could use a better finish than the Double Stomp? heck, have him start using the GTS since that finish is open for use at the moment. -
Rusev can drop the US Title without being pinned. Problem solved

it's closer to 2/3rds of a page. But yeah, Chyna is probably a mix of being fascinating, and having serious issues.

Well the question was should she be in the HOF, and he was trying to put it as nicely as possible that while she deserves to be in, they can't because because let's say some kid who doesn't know who she is looks her up online they're gonna find porn and overdoses. Wouldn't the same happen with Sunny though? Sunny had never done porn movies. No but was a big part of Missy Hyatt's ViXXXens site. Recently she was offering skype chats for money. I never got a skype chat with her, but I'd assume she was naked. Not to mention her stalking of her ex. I heard that was mostly a scheme to ripoff money from marks. There might be a different-standard between nude photos and doing porn. Lana nude photos are out there, for example.

I think Sabu has claimed that he was on a per-appearance arrangement and not a contract in 1995
-
gone in early 1996, to be exact. With a quick turn around from his last WCW to his first WWF. Not sure when non-competes became more common
-
how does Reigns face promos compare to when Vince tried turning Diesel into a squeaky-clean face in 1995?
-
although, to be honest, how many guys really moved anything in the 1997 WWF pre-Montreal? there's a way to escalate an sudden issue/misunderstanding between Ziggler and Bryan to make that match mean something. I'd prefer Rollins vs Bryan since I don't really like Rollins/Orton a lot.

WWE Champs that vacated due to injury HBK, 1997: returned 4 months later, won the title in a non-descript PPV match Batista, 2006: returned 6 months later, worked with Booker T for a bit before winning the belt in November. Edge, 2007: returned at Survivor Series and won the belt in December. Cena, 2007: returned and won the 2008 Rumble. Batista, 2009: returned, defeated Orton, left Raw, competed in 2010 Rumble Edge, 2011: retired.

maybe just have faces, heels and Dean Ambrose. Have him as sort of a rogue agent.
-
seeing as WCW had a newly-minted face authority figure during Nash/Hogan, they could have had the belt stripped off of Hogan and ran a tournament thru Superbrawl where the NWO runs interference to get Hogan into a title match while keeping Goldberg out of the title match. Like have these 16 in the tournament: Nash. Hogan, Hall, Steiner, Luger from the NWO. Bigelow, Hennig, Jericho as other heels. Goldberg, DDP, Mysterio, Konnan, Benoit, Malenko, Wrath, and Booker for the faces (that were around in February 1999). So.. Benoit over Bigelow (DQ) Nash over Mysterio Hall over Malenko Goldberg over Hennig Hogan over Wrath Luger DDQ Konnan Steiner over Booker DDP over Jericho Nash over Benoit Goldberg over Hall Hogan bye DDP over Steiner at Superbrawl: Nash DCO Goldberg Hogan over DDP to win the title so, same destination, different path, cuts out the ballcutting of Flair regarding Hogan/Nash. Goldberg vs Nash at Uncensored. Goldberg moving towards a April/May title shot. Flair vs Hogan in the mean time since Flair got outmaneuvered to keeping the belt off of Hogan. Goldberg/DDP for the summer. WCW in January thru April killed them a lot for the last 2 years.

Flair v. Muta from Starrcade 89 has to be mentioned, right?

or Cena beats Brock, but then Rollins cashes in and beats Cena. Giving us Rollins/Reigns at WM

Your ideas for heels that would get over today
Cobra Commander replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
inspired by the former WWE writer mentioning an idea to turn Tatanka into an evil Indian Casino owner... Perhaps a more dedicated version of the "selling out your heritage" thing. Like a Native American heel who now wears Redskin apparel. Granted they kinda toe the line with that concept only to see it kinda flop or get halted abruptly. Like Kerwin White. Also the agents tendencies to tell racist jokes might hinder such an idea in the WWE. -

yeah, I downloaded the file around 12:30am. So I may have beaten some of the rush to that avenue -

Keith Sampson is the doctor mentioned in the Lawler stories: http://thedo.osteopathic.org/2013/10/ringside-at-wwe-matches-may-be-fake-but-injuries-are-real-most-of-the-time/ Amann is the doctor that Punk was railing on the most. Amann was recently quoted in a story mentioning that Roman Reigns was competing with a hernia before the emergency surgery -

I just downloaded the mp3 from Cabana's site and listened to it from the file. That seemed to work out fine for me. Plus I hate how small the scroll bar is for MP3 audio (which could just be a Chrome thing, if it doesn't make sense) -

Not sure we can get The Smiths to let the WWE use "Meat is Murder" as theme music. If we're booking heels based on types of people who annoy us... Then watch out for my idea proposal about a "Careless driver" gimmick (he doesn't signal when changing lanes!) or a guy whose gimmick is that he doesn't know anything about the WWE but he's there for the money.
