I agree. He could freshen up the jr.Tag division with a partner, have a 2nd jr.s singles match on the show.

YOUNG BUCKS DEFEND IWGP JR. TAG TITLES AGAINST ROCKY ROMERO & BARETTA AND BOBBY FISH & KYLE O'REILLY I liked the double dropkick to the outside. Don 't know what Romero said, but it popped the crowd. This lacked a spark these usually have. 2 3/4*

YOHEI KOMATSU & TIGER MASK & JUSHIN LIGER & SATOSHI KOJIMA & HIROYOSHI TENZAN VS. YUJI NAGATA & MANABU NAKANISHI & RYUSUKE TAGUCHI & MASCARA DORADA & SHO TANAKA Nakanishi needs to be sent to the glue factory. Just like all the other openers Dorada has been part of, he shined the brightest here. Kind of what you expected. 2*
  4. Post your thoughts if your up.
  5. The Buddy Landell vs Butch Reed shoe shine match wasn't much,Now the post match was tremendous fun and made me pop.I think the date on this is 12/7/84. This is the card it's from. I think or the 2nd, and the 2nd one is more likely. 12-7-84 Houston Ernie Ladd beat Magnum TA (Cage match), Ted Dibiase & Hercules Hernandez beat Rock & Roll Express, Hacksaw Duggan beat Steve Williams, Butch Reed def. Buddy Landell, Terry Taylor beat Adrian Street, Hector & Chavo Guerrero beat Jose Lothario & Shawn Michaels, Tim Horner beat Dale Veasey, Pvt. Terry Daniels beat Jack Victory 12/27/84 Houston Butch Reed won a 2 ring battle royal, Hacksaw Duggan & Rock & Roll Express beat Ted Dibiase & Steve Williams & Hercules Hernandez, Butch Reed beat Buddy Landell, Kerry Von Erich beat Gino Hernandez, Brad Armstrong beat Ernie Ladd, Kamala beat Billy Jack Haynes, Hector & Chavo Guerrero beat Jose Lothario & Terry Taylor, Iceman King Parsons beat Jack Victory, Terry Daniels beat Dale Veasey, Tim Horner beat Rip Oliver
  6. You mention here about more Chavo. I know they have a Chavo vs Bock in the vault. Which on paper sounds sick.
  7. The 2nd one is what we have on the set. So either Tharpe has his dates wrong or the Mid-South set date is wrong.
  8. I didn't want to overexaggerate so I low balled.50/50 is pretty mindblowing.

  11. Of the 40 matches I say at least 10 matches have never been seen.
  12. I loved the Andre/Race match. It was so smartly worked, and told a basic story. Both guys were real good here. The finishes and big moments throughout the match were built to really well. Even the little things like Andre leaning on Race was just good storytelling. In the 4 1/4*
  13. Here's a workaround for people noy able to get Harley vs Andre to play. Ackerman click on Flair vs Wahoo let it start playing. Hit the discover tag it will give you about 5 matches including another Flair/Wahoo not listed but their is another thumbnail 4 Andre/Race click on it and it plays
  14. I sent a tweet to Zellner that I was going to need help on dates. Anyone have a link to Houston wrestling results?

  16. Yes, they have 400-500 hrs of footage. 80% of the footage has been documented. The last 20% is stuff in cans that isn't listed. In August they add a match a day. Nothing will be taken down.
  17. I can understand that. Though they are calling the match so I'm actually fine with it.
  18. The 1st set of matches they've uploaded is pretty diverse.
  19. Ackerman click on Flair vs Wahoo let it start playing. Hit the discover tag it will give you about 5 matches including another Flair/Wahoo not listed but their is another thumbnail 4 Andre/Race click on it and it plays
  20. Still as a segment I thought it was pretty great. Double juicer. A ton of these matches haven't seen the light of day.

  22. Their will be matches never seen before. I hope this really works out. The WWE is more interested in producing 1st run content like Swerve so all the libraries they have just sits there. Here Bruce is at least attempting to put Old Scholl footage out there.
  23. 1.reDragon vs Tanaka/Komatsu It finally dawned on me who O'Reilly reminds me of. It's Bob Backlund. This is a good match. Both teams look crisp. They work a pretty good southern formula. Tanaka and Komatsu are so well versed at getting he 1/2 crab. This was well worked where you thought the Young Boys could pull it off. 3 1/4* 2.Yuji Nagata & Jushin Liger & Tiger Mask vs. Manabu Nakanishi & Ryusuke Taguchi & Mascara Dorada Again Dorada looks the most motivated. No real story here. 2* Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima & Jay White vs. Bad Luck Fale & Tama Tonga & Cody Hall This was better than I anticipated. They cut a much faster pace than I was expecting. Jay White looked tremendous. He has it. Cody Hall needs more experience and 6 mans bring out the Worst in Fale . 2 1/2* Kushida & Captain New Japan vs. Kenny Omega & Yujiro Takahashi 3 1/4* Kushida and Omega had their moments. Captain NJ looked really terrible. We get Ricochet post match and that's something to get excited about. 2 1/4* Hiroshi Tanahashi & Togi Makabe & Tetsuya Naito vs. Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano & Gedo The new Naito is something to watch. It has a Raven feel to it. Loved Naito's tag in. Then he shoves the ref. Naito is FIP, he finally gets to his corner and refuses to tag. This has a lot going on with the feuds, Naito etc. Naito walks out on his team at the finish. 2 1/2* Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata & Tomoaki Honma vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Kazushi Sakuraba & Yoshi-Hashi All the Shibata/Sakuraba interactions in these multi man teams have been great. I hope it translates into a good singles bout. Nakamura is so charismatic. I loved the triple Nakamura leg. Sure this had a lot of the same tropes they normally use. The finish run was pretty good. Kazuchika Okada & Michael Bennett & Matt Taven & Rocky Romero & Baretta vs. A.J. Styles & Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson & Young Bucks They even get a this is awesome chant to start in Japan. I like the Bullet Club as a wolf pack waiting on the odds to be in their favor. This is a lot of fun. Romero's FIP work was well done. The Bullet Club's heat segment was real effective and gave the match some real meat to it. The Bucks and Styles have great chemistry together. The Styles/Okada interactions were gold. From working the ROH shows Okada and RPG Vice have developed great chemistry. The high spots were built to well and were great at clearing the ring for Styles and Okada one on ones. Romero taking the Razor's Edge from the ring to the outside is scary even with the catchers. The Maria/Amber stuff was what it was. The match gave everyone a moment or 2. The finishing run was a lot of fun. Pretty damn good match 4* This was their best Road to Show since NJ World has become available. We got 3 good to excellent matches, Ricochet showing up, the advancement of Naito, and nothing stinking up the joint.
  24. I enjoyed the last 2 matches. That main event style felt odd to close a NJPW show. I mean I liked the match . A 4 or 4 1/4* I guess because the booking and how they build a show is structured. When they do something different it feels odd as opposed to special if that makes sense.
  25. I totally agree with everything you said there. I enjoyed the Bullet Club 6 man much more than I thought I would. Still in the 2 1/2* range, but thought they cut a decent pace.
