  1. I don't get this. Piper must had seen that episode of Star Trek where the species were painted black and white and thought it made a cool visual.
  2. Heck yea this was a great Texas Death Match. My main gripe with TXDM in general is there are too many falls and we lose action in the bout. This match had none of that. The start with Onita and Dragon Master was so hate filled. As a whole this was hate filled. Just a bloody fight.
  3. A guy who I just don't get excited about watching, but I have seen have plenty of good matches is Scorpio. I just don't really want to watch him. It might be those whoop there it is chants, sometimes he tried to put too much sizzle into his work like when him and his opponent were doing rope running spots he wouldn't just drop to the mat he'd have a little hang time instead of just dropping to the mat. People I've read are pretty high on his Sabu's matches. I thought those table spots were distracting to set up and took away from the matches. Though I blame Sabu for that than Scorpio, but he is involved in it.

  5. I've always been entertained by Murdoch. He's a guy who you can move up and down the card. He's a good promo. His feuds and matches get over. He can play a lot of roles. For example, stooging heel, headliner of a territory , brawler, mat worker , undeneath face or heel. He throws a great punch. You can make the argument that he had Nikita Koloff's best match .

    Terry Funk

They had a real good match with one another.
  7. The no ref rule was a kinda cool stip. Austin right off the bat has a lot tools.
  8. A real fun match. Gilbert working spots around the headlock was great. The vocal battle was fun. That chinlock from Cactus did drag, but he is limited here. Overall, some good stuff.
  9. This was one heck of a battle. I just loved Estrada just punching Satanico in the arm to start the 3rd fall. I was shocked we got no blood.
  10. This was so awesome. It felt like we were building to a 20 plus minute classic. we get the fall like at the 15 minute mark that caught me by surprised. Still great stuff with both guys looking great. Flair is the man.
  11. I'm glad that I got to see the match. These guys have popped up in the Observer all through the 80's. I dug the opening limb work, but this thing dragged.
  12. This was so awesome. Lowrance reaction to the kiss was pure gold. It seems like Lowrance shows a lot more personality calling these Memphis /Texas matches than he did calling WCCW in the 80's.
  13. I loved this. Ole really is intimidating. The history lesson was a nice touch, but it happened so long ago I think it flew over most of the audience's head.
  14. I thought the match was ok. It told a basic story. Finish was shitty though.
  15. Perfect pulls out all the stops to not have a stinker.
  16. I love Atlas's robe here. He makes a great Apollo Creed.
  17. I also loved Ventura's snorting/breathing straight out of the Hogan promos.
  18. A good match here with 6 workers I like a lot. The response from the crowd from Satanico's punches were great. He really milked those things.
  19. Warrior is just killing me. At least Hogan is trying to build it up as an epic battle.
  20. I thought this was a strong match. The MX were great at working the neck and throat area that Pillman is great at selling. The angle at the end makes it a can't miss segment. Of course WCW drops the angle completely.
  21. I enjoyed this so much. All the Garvin running, he must have been blown up big time.
