  1. 7/30/16 NJPW Shibata vs Naito 4 1/4* I loved all the limb work in this. Plus Shibata dropped his stuff that hurts his matches. Shibata working over Naito's arm. Naito sells this really well. Naito revenge spots on Shibata's arm. Naito doubles down and transitions to leg. Naito had a rotating attack between arm and leg. All of Shibata's stuff looks great. Just good stuff.
  2. 7/28/16 NXTSA Revolution vs Gargano/Ciampa 4 1/4* This was at the live event in San Antonio. These guys got 20 minutes and it was awesome. The Revival are the best tag team. We get a great shine from the faces. During the shine we get Gargano and Ciampa do their stuff. The Revival get heat on Ciampa and go to town on the arm. Eventually Gargano gets the tag and is running wild. Eventually he gets cut off and it's on. Down the stretch we get a bunch of near falls that the crowd buys 100%. We get a shitty DQ, but man what a ride.
  3. 7/24/16 ACW Hooligans vs Roscoe Eat Lisa vs Unholy Complex vs Masada/Kash 4 1/4* I saw this live. It would lose a lot on tape. This was just a wild as fuck brawl. Quad juice. Weapons, huge bumps, crowd running from the wrestlers. This had gigantic dives. Some insane bumps. All chaotic, and super heated. Match went all over the place.
  4. 7/23/16 ROH TV Jay Lethal vs Kyle O'Reilly 4 1/2* This was really well done. 1st they set up the whole time for the match. This is being made a big deal. Kyle comes out and is attacked by Bullet Club. They just destroy his arm. He goes to the back and a doctor is taping him up. He demands his match. So later in the show O'Reilly vs Lethal. Lethal is great with his character work. This is just a well worked with all of these great hope spots set up for Kyle. Lethal would work over Kyles's bad wing. Kyle would use kicks because his arm is no use. The angle and match really made this feel special.
  5. Tully vs Scott Casey Tully is a great heel. Scott Casey is a solid babyface. Casey has a early shine segment. Tully cheats his way to a heat segment and does a real good job working over Casey's leg. The work is really heelish like dead legging the leg. Tully has a way to get under the fans skins. I really liked Casey's comeback. He focused on Tully's leg and did some really neat revenge spots. Then we build to the finish. 2 3/4*

  7. Gino vs Mil 11/26/82 We start out with a Mil Mascaras promo where he puts up his mask verse Gino with Tully suspended in a cage above the ring. Then the Dynamic Duo come out and they are incredible as is Paul Boesch. That was an incredible segment. The match starts and we see Mil just own Gino on the mat. The 1st few minutes it's just Mil tying Gino up like a pretzel and stretching him on the mat. Gino would escape and ask Tully for advice. Rinse and repeat. Mil then using some really stiff strikes . Gino uses some rough house tactics on his heat segment. We get a ref bump. Mil gets the brass knucks and uses them on Gino and gets the win. The promo segment was amazing, the match could have been more hate filled. 2 1/2*

  9. Lothario vs Gran Marcus Another good match. Loved the opening interaction of Gino and Jose. Extra points for Gino's old school shirt. Gino's and Jose's blood feud has been incredible. Marcus and Lothario had a lot of highs. A total roller coaster ride. Some serious ups and downs. I loved some of the traditional Lucha spots in the match. The punch spots were incredible and made the crowd insane. The one time when they fought each other to the ground was amazing. A lot of great stuff to invest in. 3*

  11. Mil vs Gino I was looking forward to this and it I was right to look forward to it. We some mat work to start. Mil focusing on the arm and back was fun. Gino is so great at putting all of this over. His facials here are just off the charts. We get a lot more of this and it's all great. When Gino goes on offense he's after the mask. Marcus and Lothario are out and they play into the finish. Post match brawl to boot. 2 3/4*

  13. I thought the tv angle with O'Reilly and the Bullet Club. Then the match with Lethal, and then post match was the best thing they've done in ROH this year.
  14. 7/24/16 NJPW Naito vs Michael Elgin 4 1/4* I really liked this match and is really showing the growth of Michael Elgin. He does such a great job with his power moves. Naito focused on Elgin's leg. Elgin's selling was so great and was where the drama of the match was. They were great at giving Elgin hope spots. He'd get cut off by Naito going after the leg. Their was a nasty blown DDT spot, but they covered well enough. Again I thought this was an incredible Elgin performance. His selling drove the drama of the match.
  15. This is a match that was set up because Rick is Buzz Sawyer's protege. So Buzz wants Rick to cause some damage to Chavo because they meet in the 1st round of the UWF tournament later in the month. Rick Steiner is green here. Though he seems to be developing a character. People remember as this great tag worker . He 1st broke out because of his character work in Crockett with his imaginary friend Alex. The match was ok. Though the post match was where the story was. They end up laying out Chavo. Rick even holds him down and eats the pin.

  17. Man when Taylor saw the booking sheet he must have wondered who he pissed off. Two green opponents, and a partner the boss wants over and he's green too. I thought Rick Steiner was pretty good here. I dug him trying to trick Taylor into their corner. Taylor did a good job ring leadering this. Both teams worked the arms. Their was one ugly spot with Sting. They also got Jack the pin so overall mission accomplished. Solid match. 2 1/2*

  19. The latest TV show really shows that Jay White is going to get a good push here. He seems like a can't miss prospect so good for them.
  20. http://placetobenation.com/this-week-in-wrestling-72416/ Fall 1 Pete and Johnny discuss an incredible tag match from NWA On Demand. 1/11/80 is Mr. Hito/Sakurada vs Jose Lothario/Tiger Conway Jr. Then they look at the latest ROH tv show and it's the Jay White show. Fall 2 Pete and Timothy break down LU Ultimo Dos Night 3. Then It's Weaver Cup time on CWF Mid Atlantic . CWF Mid-Atlanic is the biggest secret in wrestling. Then they break down the G1 night one and 2. Then look at night 1 of NJ 's J-Cup. Fall 3 Pete and Johnny discuss all things WWE. We discuss NXT. We flip opinions on commentary about the CWC. We look at the highs and lows of RAW. They conclude with the draft. Shocker they disagree about the depth. 00:00:30 fall 1 00:48:27 fall 2 02:56:40 fall 3 Show less
  21. Texas Tornado match. This is a Texas Tornado match. Right when Another One Bites the Dust plays the crowd goes crazy. This is super heated. We get a super fun spot to start. Then the rest is kick punch and it works. These guys though come across that they hate each other. That's the key. It's all in the drama. Post match Butch Reed joins the Russians and the heat turns into an inferno. We get trash thrown into the ring. Tito Santana out to even the odds. Post match promos from the faces to boot. 3 1/4*

  23. 7/20/16 NJPW Kushida vs Ishimori 4 1/2* Kushida has been on fire this year. His output has been incredible, and in actuality has slid into Nak's spot as workrate guru on the card. NJPW could turn him into a big draw if they play their cards right. We get some grappling early and it sucked me right in. Kushida is after that arm. I loved Ishimori's dive. Ishimori's selling of the arm made the drama work. I marked huge for the attempted pile driver into the arm lock. The finish really flowed well and I loved it. Great stuff from both guys.
  24. 6/17/16 AAW Zach Sabre Jr. vs Johnny Gargano 4 1/4* This was a really good match. Sabre Jr working heel towards the end really added a layer to the match.Sabre Jr was awesome at destroying the arm. Gargano getting hope spots . Gargano's selling is top notch and really made the match. He's really improved his selling. Maybe his time in NXT put the light bulb on. My one complaint was Gargano's shine could have been more solid. Overall strong stuff and Gargano has improved so much this year. His rep seems to match his skills set now.
