This wasn't a great match. Though it had some really nifty things in it. Patton is working the old forearm gimmick. I truly loved how Dory would wack at the injury with a true meaness to it. Patton going into a sling blade like headlock was great. I loved him using the forearm gimmick to try to cauliflower Funk's ears. I enjoyed Patton's neck and ear work. Overall, they kept my interest. 2 1/2*

This is a Chicago Death match. We have a special ref in Mike Mazurki who by looking at his IMDB credits was a great character actor usually as a gangster. The loser of the match had to say Uncle over the microphone. The stips of the match were if Hart wins he gets to announce the next card. If Boesch wins Gary Hart can't bother him. This wasn't Tully/Magnum but was interesting . It was hard for the guys to call stuff with the mike, and working with a green ref. Still it was fun. I wonder how much a Boesch match popped the gate?

Plus Sullivan could help a lot of the roster with promos .

Well at 1st I hated it. Then I thought about it. If it leads to a Kevin Sullivan stable with Witmer and maybe Keith Lee/ Shane Taylor tag team that feuds with Corino and War Machine . Let Sullivan do a modernized version of his continental, Florida stuff. If it was a one shot , then that is stupid.

I enjoyed the Flair comparison to Cena in regards to giving. -
My bad. Have been on my MOTYC . I can see why people like it a lot though. I wished the bout could have been a bit more focused.

I really liked the early stalling. I especially loved how they took the organic selfie that happened and totally took it and used it. So I loved the early part . It had a Memphis feel to it. They made a lot of the little stuff mean a lot. The stuff in ring was good, but felt they had too much time to fill. I feel if they cut 15 minutes it could have been

This to Matt's and mine knowledge the only singles match between these 2 ever to make tape. 1978 Dusty is loaded with charisma and is in pretty good shape for Dusty. He even throws an awesome drop kick in this. I enjoyed early in the match Brody's stooging. Dusty's charisma carried this. Their were moments where Brody would turn it on and came across as a force of nature. Their have been better matches on the service; but this is a true treasure and a piece of history. 2 1/2*

I want to say the video player that is used, or how it was uploaded the last 2 matches have been the best when it comes to running it on my computer to the tv with HDMI cable.

For me the lists and discussions are cool as a tool to check out wrestling I'm not familiar with. I watch a lot of wrestling, but everyone has blind spots. The discussions help with those blind spots.

I liked it a lot. I gave it 3 3/4*. I loved the story. I actually liked the Hero vs Big Van Walter match even more.

It's on my to do list.

This was more angle than match to set up a tag match. Dusty was incredible with his dancing. Leroy was great in his role. The kids dancing, the crowd going nuts. Gary Hart was the perfect foil. A super entertaining angle.

6/18/16 PWX Cedric Alexander vs Zach Sabre Jr 4 1/2* Holy moly was this just a great match that should appeal to almost everyone. It has mat wrestling, it has dives, it has great selling, an incredible babyface, the work is focused. Alexander I think is the best baby face in wrestling. Sabre Jr was a master at working the arm. Alexander's selling made the arm come across even more nastier. ROH dropped the ball with Cedric. The guys took the best of Southern Style wrestling, and British wrestling and got this gem. I loved the energy of Alexander's comeback. Though I thought his comeback after the triangle was a bit sudden. Though they covered it on commentary. Sabre jr's work was so focused on the arm. Both guys played the drama of it all so well. Thought the finish was a bit sudden though. Still great work from both guys.

That's an awesome story.

6/19/16 WWE John Cena vs AJ Styles 4 1/4* What a nuclear crowd and they're reacting like this is the biggest match the company can offer right now. This was a really strong 1st match of what could be an epic feud. I loved the story of AJ out wrestling Cena. Everytime Cena would get some momentum going AJ would cut him off . I thought Cena was really good with his selling especially after the Calf Crusher. Also Cena's little looks of frustrating was done really well. I loved AJ talking trash. They build to the finish, and The Club help AJ win. The finish has some circles complaining. To me he's a heel, he cheated, and it builds to a rematch. It works for me. In today's era of the network it's built similar to the old MSG model .

This is a ladder match. I thought all 3 guys looked good. I thought all 3 guys did a good job of coming across as wanting to hurt one another. I loved how Dalton destroyed Sammy's leg. I thought Sammy sold it really good until it was time for him to do a holy shit spot. So he'd shit can all the good work here and there. I liked the finish because it captured Dalton pretty good. O'Reno had really good facials and kind of was the glue here. Their were issues with the psychology of the match at times, but overall I liked it a lot. 3 3/4* http://inspireprowrestling.com/video/free-match-inspire-pro-j-crown-ladder-match-sammy-guevara-vs-andy-dalton-vs-steve-oreno/

Brody vs Lewin The big stip of the match is if Brody wins he gets 5 minutes with Hart. Both of these guys are big draws all over the world. With that said I'm not a fan of either guys work. I feel both guys are overrated as great brawlers. Though they have their moments. Here at times they have some fun stuff. My favorite part was Lewin's and Hart's work with each other. Hart came across as a smooth operator. I thought this was the best Hart has looked on the Houston footage.

https://soundcloud.com/jerryvonkramer/this-week-in-wrestling-06-19-2016 This Week In wrestling is back with a very special episode for those of you that love #2, fall #2 that is. All three falls could easily be a second fall on any other episode of This Week in any arena in any English-speaking or at least English-understanding country in the world. Fall 1: Pete & Timothy look at this weeks episode of Lucha Understand with the "Six to Survive" match. Who is the going to Ultima Lucha? Who's feuds are progressed? Who, unlike Adam Rose, is against hitting a woman? And the biggest question of all who thought this match needed to be an entire episode? After that Pete & Timothy finish up the Super Strong Style 16 tourney will a look at Night 2 or "The Chris Hero show" which at this point could describe the entire independent wrestling world. Fall 2: Pete & Timothy are back were they belong in second fall and they are talking about RPW Live From The Cockpit 6. This was broken up in to two different episodes of RPW TV and it was quite the house show. RPW mid-card workers shine getting a chance to work with bigger American names with less on the line. Pete Dunne, Josh Bodom, and James Castle all get to show off but who is the star of the group? Meanwhile ZSJ and Wil Ospreay continue their ever building epic rivalry to see who will be the break out star of the UK scene. Fall 3: Pete & Timothy (you see the pattern?) are talking about the big show RPW Sabre vs. Angle. The card has everything from rising to established stars in front of a packed house of rabid fans so, what could go wrong? It turns out quite a bit. Listen to the guys as they talk over the strengths and weakness of the show then get into some of their signature brain storming to see what could have made the show better over all. 00:00:30 Fall 1 00:52:46 Fall 2 01:16:06 Fall 3

2/7/16 RPW Zach Sabre Jr vs Will O'Spreay 4 1/4* Sabre Jr was great working on top and controlling the match . His focus was on the neck and he just destroyed it. Now Will's selling was the key. He fought underneath for a large portion of the bout. He sold his neck, and made comeback's. Will relied more on his selling and charisma than his spots.
