Not exactly what I had in mind when I said NYC-centric, but I'll take it. Any WCW acts that never worked for WWE getting in is always a bit of a pleasant surprise. If this class shakes out the way I think it will, theirs will be the only induction I'll have any interest in watching.

Apart from live appearances and just the actual show itself, I don't get the impression he does anywhere near the heavy lifting for the show Conrad does as far as research, apart from maybe re-watching whatever show they cover. It could actually be beneficial to his position in the company, to go over old ground and see how it could possibly fit in the framework of what's going on now.

I think Conrad and JR could have great chemistry. If he truly feels done with Connecticut then this could have the potential to be an explosive program. He doesn't strike me as having the BS quota Prichard and especially Bischoff possesses, so it could be less of a shouting match between the two as weeks go by.

The show is going on, but their remaining live dates are being touted as a farewell tour, make of that what you will. I liked the episode on Jerry Lawler. I found it interesting that Bruce saw the segments between Lawler and Heyman as what should have been for that horrible program he had with Piper. And of course his differing account from Lawler himself about what really happened when he quit.

In order of importance the real criteria for induction is if you’re not on the McMahon shit-list, if they can make money/media attention off of you getting in, or if you made an undeniable impact on the industry.

I heard King Kong Bundy say something recently and it perfectly sums up what I feel about WCW. He said he knew it was over for them when he saw Eric Bischoff cut a 15-minute promo, sitting on a motorcycle. I'm probably misquoting what he directly said, but it was something to the effect of "this place is doomed because this guy thinks he's a star".

Very strange that there hasn't been anything official yet. Regardless of that, or if putting them in is in part to appease a grieving daughter, but The Hart Foundation definitely deserve to be in. For at least the time they were together, they were the best tag team that company had. And maybe ever had.

I wish they'd scale it down a bit, and not just in terms of the length. Do it like they did in 2004 and in the 90's where it'd be in a ballroom somewhere with just the roster, their families, etc. It would make for better television. I could see something like this if they ever get around to actually making a building for their HOF.

I watched DDP/Goldberg from Halloween Havoc '98, and I've got to say it holds up as a fast-paced big-hype match. Hindsight-wise it would have been better if DDP won and broke the streak himself, as it could have built up another big program between the two, instead of...you know.

I think if you consider the times he was employed by both companies, it might make a little more sense. He was hired by WCW in 1989 and had a lot of front-office attention because of his look and was put into big-time programs almost right away. He also made guaranteed money with them, where in WWF it was maybe not as financially lucrative as it might have been during the 80's and the Attitude Era when they were printing money. He joined the WWF in 1991 just before the steroid scandal hit, and rocked the company to it's core PR-wise, to the point that when he returned in 1995, they were doing Raw from miniscule venues compared to the ones he even performed in 3 years earlier.

Conrad's aside/response to Sid's claim that he was using someone else's urine during a drug test might be the most hilarious thing I've ever heard from him on this show.

I've got to think it's going to be a very NYC-centric class, so probably no outliers like The Midnight Express or possibly even Vader.

I like the idea of doing a whole show around just inducting Undertaker. The character is a crucial part of history and the man himself a practical institution to those who have worked there for the last 20 years now. As a television show it badly needs to be rethought. It's one thing to have total freedom because it's your Network and not being bound by the restrictions of networks, but overkill is all the more possible if things get out of hand.

I feel like Hennig did better when he was doing commentary for the company in 96 but I could be wrong on that. I generally agree that he wasn't good during this time, but I remember thinking he was okay at the '96 Rumble.

They replaced the theme music with generic filler on most episodes. I say most because one I watched had the original intact, and another one had both tunes playing at the same time!

34 episodes from 1992 went up today, starting from April which happened to be the very month I got into wrestling. Watching this stuff will be quite the nostalgia trip.

Who the hell is holding them up over this?
