  1. On the fan thing alone, I'm sure he's not the only one who acted rudely towards them back then. Faces specifically have that burden of being the nice guy all the time, which is why almost everyone says they prefer working heel. On top of having more control over what's done in the ring, there must be something that gets released that maybe allows them to have less turbulent personal lives than the guy getting all the acclaim. Plus, Warrior was literally an overnight sensation. He rose faster in the ranks than a lot of people at that time when fan support really had to build. That had to play with his head a lot too, and lead to the more dickish behavior. It's only been in these recent years like shakla mentioned, that he's taken his time because he appreciated it more.
  2. Vader told my favorite Harley story, about him beating Scott Norton in what was called the test of strength back then, so bad that a ring on Scott's finger became embedded in his skin.
  3. It really was, to the point of making me re-think my mixed feelings. Seeing all the belts in Triple H's office was cool too, especially the NWA belt Flair gave him.
  4. It's funny because everything I've read about him recently is that he really went out of his way with the fans and more gracious. Yet he never really copped to those previous offenses. What's sad to me is that maybe if he lived longer he would have copped to it and done more to right the wrongs of a guy who struggled with success and lashed out at people. Sadly I doubt it would have extended to things he said online about the world at large. I actually read his Twitter feed and while there were some eye-rollers (most recently his comment about Philip Seymour Hoffman), there were things I actually agreed with. Specifically his condemning the media for fear-mongering after the explosion at the Boston Marathon last year.
  5. I think his interview segments from it are used in these Warrior Week specials.
  6. That's the nature of death though, isn't it? What makes this particular one more interesting is that he seemed willing to move past prior differences and maybe make his own amends that fateful weekend, and who knows if that he didn't die that maybe he would apologize for his comments and behavior.
  7. Jay Mohr is quite the firm believer in them as well, as I hear about them on his podcast quite a bit. Jim just said on Twitter that he's thinking about putting up his old Radio shows up on iTunes.
  8. Tonight's Warrior Week special on the Network is very good, basically the sequel to Self-Destruction.
  9. Absolutely. I'm more of a redhead guy but you hit it all. She's great.
  10. I liked it. It's really not like a lot of these kinds of shows where they throw random people together and see what happens. They all know each other in varying degrees so the camaraderie and tension that flares up feels more genuine to a degree. Really surprised at the first episode, though I still cringe at what may come soon.
  11. Watching Legends House. Help me.
  12. When are they going to use just one belt? They seem attached to the Big Gold Belt, but won't use it as the sole belt because it didn't originate with them obviously.
  13. Never got the love for Luger/Sting vs. The Steiners from the first SuperBrawl, specifically why it beat out the Bret/Hennig match from SummerSlam for PWI match of the year.
  14. Loved the Rick Rude stories towards the end. He seemed to be a very righteous dude.
  15. Not surprised, she is not only very beautiful but very engaged in her work from what I've seen.
  16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCds_xmB8lY Man, was Paul right. I bet if this show ever winds up on the Network this match gets cut.
  17. Is that Dollar Shave Club?
  18. ECW is a hell of a trade-off than one more waste-of-space shock jock.
  19. This aired on the network as part of their "Warrior Week". Very interesting hearing a Japanese match with Vince and Jesse on commentary (did this air on Prime Time?). Can't say I disagree with any of the negative views here, though the Andre match from SNME that preceded it makes this look significantly better.
  20. That could have been awesome. Warrior, Vader and the Road Warriors/LOD.
  21. They were so different to me that I didn't know they were the same teams until way later on.
  22. Warrior in the Attitude Era would have been a bad fit, unless maybe they stuck him working with Undertaker/Kane/Mankind. Other than that I can't see how he would have blended in, without it being awful.
  23. The tribute tonight was nice. It will be interesting to see the more extensive tributes on WWE Network.
  24. Big difference between those two and UW. Warrior was totally a Vince creation, while they were proven commodities before they became big with Vince.
  25. Still impatiently waiting for the SNME's and Clash's to go up. Is it past the free-trial run yet?
