What if, the WWF went with the original plans for WM4?
Victator replied to JRH's topic in Armchair Booking
If you look at the Survivor Series 98 tournament, Austin came out and Stunner'd the heels and even Foley to end the show. I don't think a lot would change, I can imagine Dibiase defending against Savage all summer and winning by cheating. Savage calls in Hogan to even the odds at Summerslam and Hogan pins Dibiase. Bossman still attacks Hogan, but maybe Slick is paid by Dibiase. Ted probably feuds with Hercules on the house shows and gets some wins, as Hogan feuds with Bossman and Savage defends the Intercontinental Belt against Bad News Brown. Savage still turns on Hogan on NBC, to set up the post Mania feuds. The real mystery is what becomes of Warrior. I suppose he can feud with Honky during summer of 88 and he beats Savage for the IC belt at Wrestlemania V. -
As a kid, I lived for wrestling figures and dropped out of it in 2003 when I became self conscious. I gave my collection away to my nephews over time; but I suffered some traumas over a few years. I lost my parents, finding my mother dead, coming to grips with childhood abuse and leaving a terrible relationship. I ended up finding some figures and it brought me some comfort and began collecting again. Life has not gotten easier and someone suggested sharing my collection in pictures. I like building teams and had an idea to do a fantasy trios tourney using figures I own as a challenge. I know others here collect and thought you guys might want to participate. All voting is in kayfabe, covering the matches like they are real. You can comment or just vote. Feel free to share your collections too, especially if they are loose. Personally my money is on Bob Backlund, Jimmy Snuka and Mil Mascaras, the greatest trio in history. The MC is Billionaire Mark Ivy, let him explain it. Hi, I'm running an action figure tourney called 'Action League W*RE presents Holidaze Maximum Elimi-Nation Trios Tournament Of Triumph", more than sixteen teams of figures fight it out to declare, who is baddest in the toy bin and the people vote on it. An example match we have the Daivari Brothers and Muhammad Hassan vs the unnamed yet iconic trio of Roddy Piper, "Ace Cowboy" Bob Orton and "Mr.Wonderful" Paul Orndorff. You vote on who wins. I imagine, the women make more on merchandise, since they get promoted more.

That doesn't seem right. I do like that match, but I would not say it was his best match in 93.

I think the Attitude Era ran off elderly fans. I don't know of many old folks who watched WWF in 98. But I knew a lot who stuck it out with WCW -

If they did not it on two days notice, it would not have happened. If you do a longer build, Hogan would have ended the streak. Look at the match with Sting six months earlier. I think doing it the way they did was a good show of force that they still mattered. The problem was the follow thru, with Goldberg doing a midcard defense at Bash At the Beach and was in a battle royal in August and did not even wrestle at the September and November shows. The only defenses Goldberg had that were main events was vs DDP and Nash. They could have done huge ppv match in November vs the Giant, but gave it away for free with no build the next night. They could have ran a match vs Jericho in September. Those were the big problems in his title run. -
Yeah if its not on Switch, for me it might as well not exist. Though I would be happy with Fire Pro Returns on Switch.

I love the WCW comic with no irony. I loved the Ghoul story arc and watching as Ron Wilson learned how to draw wrestling. You can tell when he started watching the TV and had more than headshots to work from. As a kid reading Ghoul saying he was Sting's trainer, I thought to myself "Rick Bassman?" -

That is probably a big sign Kenfredo is lying. -
I had thought he passed a few months ago. He was very talented in OVW, him and Johnny Jeter were a very good team.

I thought it was a great finish and protected Sting to a degree. I don't know why mistiming the splash after a tremendous beating and coming off of an injury makes him an idiot.

Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard

That is my thought. That there might be some mechanical stuff we can't understand. Because a lot of the guys seem to like him as a person, but universally find him to be a bad talent. One last thing on Debra, I think she did really well as a character in WCW and the WWF. I just found her an odd choice for the WWF to pursue when they got hot. Maybe Jeff Jarrett put a word in for her. Even if she was one of the people he buried in his return promo. -

I have never been one to say mean things about peoples appearance. I honestly thought Sable was older than she was. But I think she just has one of those faces. She probably looks young for her age now. Has anyone asked Bruce why they signed Debra. Nothing against her personally, but it was one of the stranger signings of the Monday Night Wars. -

I wasn't trying to shit on Mero. I like him a lot. I think we all have times in our lives where we act like jerks. -
He started doing that when he was old.

He had been really good since coming back in 2004. In particular he had this run, where he was delivering every week on Heat. I think that is why he got the Big Daddy V run. -

Most people who know him say Sable's fame went to Mero's head. Which is what ended up doing him in as an active wrestler. Basically in the build up to Wrestlemania 14, Mero and Sable were really good to Luna. Since she was the one who was going to work with Sable at WM 14 and might have been training her. Now if Luna wanted to, she could have made Sable look really bad in that match. Once their program is done, they toss Luna to the side. Which is how people typically behave, but it always hurts. Sable was suppose to drop the Women's Title to Luna at Royal Rumble 99. They had run an angle of Luna being revealed as the Spider-Lady. My guess is Luna vs Sable was suppose to be Sable's WM 15 program. Shane McMahon was being positioned as Vince to Sable's Austin. Day of the show Sable refuses to drop the title and they decide to go along with it. Much like Honky Tonk Man in 88, you can make a plan later.* Now you will notice that Sable turned heel really suddenly, even for 99 WWF. Then in April they took the title from her in a shoot reverse evening gown match. Sable tore the gown off Debra, then Shawn Michaels said Debra was the winner because Sable was old news. Sable quit a week later, which tells the story with Luna was true. *Before Summerslam 88, they had Honky Tonk Man lose the IC title to Ultimate Warrior in a Dusty finish. Warrior defended the title on the taping a few times, then Honky was given the belt back for a legal reason. Which I think was to keep Honky from refusing at Summerslam. -

There was a story from Luna Vachon of how Sable and Mero used her and once they realized they did not need her, tossed her aside. I know she had bad feelings over Sable refusing to drop the Women's belt to her. Which did not mean much to Sable, but would have meant the world to Luna. -
I am so sorry I missed this. I will watch it soon. Let me think and I will find you something good. Something short and simple. hxxps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PH_sKpYYFY&t=11s
