  1. Who was the guy that was seconding Santo? I gotta agree with Loss about the match being sorta disappointing. Third fall was pretty good and Santo's dives were sick.
  2. Really liked this match thanks to Otani and Kanemoto. They were a great tag team and remind me of a Japanese PG-13. All the guys were good in the match and it was nice to see Taka get a win over the New Japan guys.
  3. Actually, I think it was for D.W Dudley since he was the one that spoke Spanish.
  4. I'm sad the best part was cut out where they tried to push Piper as OJ. I agree with Loss that the match was well done. Was this Piper's final appearance in WWF?
  5. It still amazes me how athletic Giant was in 96. Especially his bumping and how easily he got on the top rope. This was a typical Flair match that kinda fell apart at the end.
  6. I really liked this and would say it's a MOTYC. Toyota is the discovery of the set for me. I also really liked Inoue's springboard elbow and the Shelton Benjamin spots were great. I don't know what was with the dancing by Toyota early on?
  7. Man Bret was almost unbearable on commentary. It looked like HBK was getting upset with Snow after he got dropped on his neck a couple times.
  8. So I'm guessing this was Hasegawa's retirement match or something? They made it seem like it. Pretty good match that was different from the spotfest joshi matches earlier on the set. I still like Toyota.
  9. Hawk no selling the top rope bulldog Rick gave him was awesome. Great match with two teams just beating the crap out of each other. Mongo seemed to really enjoy it on commentary.
  10. Not a big fan of the match. It had some good points early and Piscosis was good but the run ins and booking just killed it for me. That seems to be the norm of these AAA matches.
  11. This is my MOTY so far. Shiryu's dives were just crazy. Especially the second to last one where it looks like he's going to land straight on his head. Just a great match for all the reasons Loss said. Naniwa's crab outfit ruled.
  12. I didn't think it was as good as the ECW matches but it was still pretty great. Juvi doing the Jerry Estrada bump on that hard ass concrete is still nuts. Not a big fan of the overbooking but that was the big thing during the time.
  13. This was nuts and really well done. I liked how they barely even showed Pillman and Bischoff going down there was a nice touch.
  14. It's matches like this that makes me remember how great Negro Casas is. Just a lightning fast match with some great performances from Dandy, Santo and Casas. I also really liked Felino in the match.
  15. Some of the bumps cactus took were just brutal looking. Especially the back and head first dive into the barricade. I agree with Loss about it being a good match and great post-match.
  16. Not sure if it's on the set but Morrell became Jeff Jarrett's new Roadie with Tony Falk and Ronnie P Gossett. It didn't last long as Jarrett left the promotion and Frank turned babyface.
  17. Ah man the whole dancing part was just great. I forgot all about Dances with Dudley. Who was that guy? Was Pillman's attorney the same guy that was commissioner of USWA in late 96 Elliot Pollick?
  18. It was crazy how this match was basically booked around a concussion angle given what's happening these days. I liked Lawler's line about how concussions are really serious. Good match though. I didn't even think Kid was around after the baby bottle incident?
  19. Well it happened about 3 or so year later. I didn't think much of this match. I'm guessing Konnan was booking at the time?
  20. The match was fine but I was more interested in the aftermath. What's the deal with Takada getting 9 trophies? What did they represent? Was it like the J Crown?
  21. Wasn't she in rehab numerous times during the run where she was way over? I always liked Sunny when she was with the minis in 97/98.
  22. I was very confused during the match. Why was Anjo wearing face paint and who was the guy in the corner of the UWF guys? Oh well, this match was stiff and awesome. I can see why people really dig Hashimoto. He reminds me of a stiffer John Cena.
  23. I damn near lost my voice going nuts over Dos Jr. winning and Booker/Kevin Nash appearing. Felt like I was 15 again. Great rumble. Punk and Nexus were just awesome and seeing Punk/Bryan/Regal in the same ring together was great. I also liked the women's match. Thank god Cena didn't win.
  24. Man Ricky Fuji looks like a bigger raven Flunkie than Stevie Richards did. Good match that reminded me of a 90's Memphis brawl in a cage. Liked the beatdown by the Headhunters after the match.
