  1. I feel like there could be a whole expose done just on the creepy shit that has happened with people associated with wrestling and tanning booths.
  2. Fire Pro Wrestling World, which one would think would appeal far more to those who would care about fictional Meltzer ratings, has far more people creating fan feds based on entertaining and wacky kayfabe type created wrestlers.
  3. 9PM CT twitch.tv/luchalibreaaa from the lucha blog:
  4. Well seeing how Vince is usually 10 years out of touch with culture, being only 4 years off the mark would actually be an improvement.
  5. I'm guessing they'll have a match or two, do the women's one first, have a buffer match (that ironically used to be the women's match slot) before the men do theirs.
  6. I'm kind of hoping for Romina Reigns to toss out all 29 other women to win now.
  7. Well they can't have the champs on the card since the rest of the entire roster is in the Rumble, unless they steal the invisible opponent gimmick from Chikara or wherever it was. It's important to them in the sense it's a vehicle to make Steph look important. Which Vince has shown is his #1 priority (maybe only second to erasing the stain of the XFL failure from his record).
  8. The funny part is that for as much as Vince craves being seen as more than just a rasslin' promoter, this might be his most carny move yet.
  9. As weird as it would be for the men's match to open the Royal Rumble PPV, I can't see them doing all this (the announcement itself main evented Raw don't forget) and have the Princess at ringside just to have them jerk the curtain.
  10. Also he's getting crushed for the line about 3+ hour NFL games being too laborious to sit through when Raw is RIGHT THERE.
  11. Right, but all anyone's going to hear on this is "the silly wrestling man is trying to relaunch his failed football league, let's all laugh". We all joke about the wrestling bubble being strong, but apparently the right wing bubble is even stronger.
  12. I can't believe they're doing this again, reminds me of the Death of WCW book where they overarching theme was lessons not learned. By judging by the way things were worded with the "no felons in this league" stuff it really does seem like they want this to be MAGA ball.
  13. So it was announced today that Royal Rumble 2019 will take place in Chase Field in Phoenix.
  14. Well WWE wants people to believe it was planned from the beginning, and as mentioned before an alarming number of people think WWE would never be allowed to say something that isn't true. That's like 95% of the reasoning behind people who get mad at Dave.
  15. That's neat. Makes sense too, since a lot were already converted for WWE On Demand so it's an easy way to add a lot of content for minimal effort.
  16. What's worse is Vince and Hunter will go on and on about brass ring type stuff, but if someone actually does and it's not someone the company is already favoring they get kneecapped. I've never understood why they don't just go with it, at least for a short while. If someone turns out to not have legs at least you maximized what you could, and if someone catches fire you've maybe made a star.
  17. I mean, I don't like a thing about the guy and anyone supporting him at this stage def. gets side eye from me, but that's not in the same universe as being an (alleged) rapist.
  18. I love that the replies to her Twitter announcement were like 90% "why do you have to insert yourself in everything". Again I say, you poor sweet children.
  19. Was the Bayern Munich guy there as well? Because that was the most annoying regular fan in 2017. Thank god he skipped the last 2 to 3 shows. That guy, besides apparently being a fan of Bayern Munich, which in my eyes puts him somewhere between cockroach and rat, spends the whole show staring at the screen (although he is usually sitting in one of the first three rows and could watch the match by looking straight ahead) and waiting for the hard cam to show him so that he can jump up and wave into the camera. The guy next to the Clown wearing the Jericho light up jacket apparently is on Twitter as @WWELiteBrite. I would have forgiven HHH for all past and future burials if DX would have done their finisher sequence on those guys instead.
  20. There was a Tennesse indy that somehow got TV time around here and Vordell Walker was part of it. He's a guy that seems to have everything looks-wise a major promotion would want and seemed to be decent enough in the ring. I guess he just never caught a break since I don't ever recall him having a tryout anywhere.
  21. I seem to recall David Starr having a tryout with ROH earlier this year that everyone thought poorly of. Months later everyone seemed to be speaking of him as a indy hidden gem. Was there anything in particular that led to the 180 in opinons?
  22. I thought he looked better physically than he has in a while. He had old man neck, yes, but the last few years it was painful to watch him even try to walk to the ring.
  23. After noticing that Clown guy in the front row at the Manhattan Center, I'm more open to Dylan's theory that WWE corralled all their most annoying fans there.
  24. Should be interesting to see how 205 Live handles the title situation, I'm guessing Neville is somewhere laughing his ass off at the company over this.
  25. Well no, not every Raw is a celebration of the last 25 years with tons of cameos. So no, Raw is not always that bad.
