Wasn't he brought in to be a player-coach? Give the guys who need more experience a seasoned vet to work with? I think he's been doing his role pretty well so far.
Apparently Nigel is sick, leaving Percy and Mauro to call the show tonight.
*edit* they should put Joe on commentary for the night, he's been great as the pre show analyst so far.
Fire Pro Wrestling World, which one would think would appeal far more to those who would care about fictional Meltzer ratings, has far more people creating fan feds based on entertaining and wacky kayfabe type created wrestlers.
I'm guessing they'll have a match or two, do the women's one first, have a buffer match (that ironically used to be the women's match slot) before the men do theirs.
Well they can't have the champs on the card since the rest of the entire roster is in the Rumble, unless they steal the invisible opponent gimmick from Chikara or wherever it was.
It's important to them in the sense it's a vehicle to make Steph look important. Which Vince has shown is his #1 priority (maybe only second to erasing the stain of the XFL failure from his record).
As weird as it would be for the men's match to open the Royal Rumble PPV, I can't see them doing all this (the announcement itself main evented Raw don't forget) and have the Princess at ringside just to have them jerk the curtain.
Right, but all anyone's going to hear on this is "the silly wrestling man is trying to relaunch his failed football league, let's all laugh". We all joke about the wrestling bubble being strong, but apparently the right wing bubble is even stronger.
I can't believe they're doing this again, reminds me of the Death of WCW book where they overarching theme was lessons not learned.
By judging by the way things were worded with the "no felons in this league" stuff it really does seem like they want this to be MAGA ball.
