He's one of the owners, is he not? It always makes commentary better if the announcer has a vested interest.

NXT basically exists for two reasons at this point: 1. Teach indy workers how to do WWE style and 2. Proof of concept that HHH can run a business so investors won't get spooked when the time comes that he's in charge.

I love Braun, but let's not forget what got him over was destroying Roman on a regular basis in more and more ridiculous ways. It was kind of brilliant for them to use the negative heat Roman was getting to get over a guy that same part of the fanbase would normally reject.

Worldwide tended to have more competitive matches and more angle advancement. It would definitely be a great addition to the existing content.

So Dave spent most of today on Twitter dealing with people who were True Believers in WWE's "longest running episodic...." spiel they do about Raw. One of the people he responded to was legitimately wondering why WWE would be allowed to say something that wasn't true. Oh you sweet innocent child.

It makes sense if it's leading to Braun vs HHH. Stephy hires him back for her man to put him in his place.

No one here is looking forward to it I'm sure, but there seems to be a lot of folks who were kids back then who have some weird nostalgia for it. Another takeaway from watching Mid-Atlantic: Did Blackjack withold food from his boys until they were in their 30s or what? Barry as BJ J.r looks like Kendall with a porn stache.

World Class was dropped earlier, so it's filling the gaps. It was also noted by the WWE Network News site that there was already confirmed to be a new drop scheduled for February so perhaps it will be the long awaited Thunder drop.

Looks like Jey Uso caught a DWI in Texas, should be interesting to see how WWE handles that.
-
Yeah but when the gimmick he's living is to emulate wrestling's greatest cautionary tale who isn't named Jake Roberts it's not something that should be lauded.

It was pretty bad booking to have the Revival do a "WE'RE GONNA SPEAK THE WAY WE WANT TO" promo when they've been in the Main Event (the show not the card position) ghetto since returning. Like why would the crowd have any reason to care what they had to say? Also it looks like their new thing is doing injury angles that are supposed to be thought of as real. Enzo last week, Nia tonight. Finn selling the return of the Curb Stomp like death was a nice touch, but of course the stupid WWE TV presentation had to stay on it so long it looked like a scene from the Office.

http://www.agcwebpages.com/BLINDITEMS/2018/JAN.html To explain how they do it, normally they either post who they think the item is about (if the answer is in italics and not a link) or a direct reveal in the form of a link. Again, not saying they're gospel but if you look back through their archives they are right about stuff like this more often than not.

This may be nothing, but one of the celebrity gossip sites has been doing blind items about Paige still having drug issues for a while, and now that this injury news is cover for her failing another drug test (remember she had two strikes back to back before she got surgery). So instead of having to announce she was the first person to get three strikes they can just claim she's no longer medically cleared to wrestle. I know what you're thinking, but this is also the same place that was calling out a lot of the sexual harrassers in Hollywood long before it became a movement, so it's not like they don't have a track record of being right.

Is the Georgia footage in decent shape? I've never seen anything that didn't look like a 7th gen VHS transfer (even on offical WWE releases) which is odd considering they taped at the WTBS studios and Ted Turner is famous for being obsessed with preservation.
-
Also it doesn't help that he looks like he should be in one of those commericals to help feed starving children.

If Elign was covering for someome who committed a sexual assault (and it seems that is what happened) then fuck him. No sympathy for any negativity that was sent his way.
-
I mean, it's pretty difficult for a woman to proceed with a sexual assult case in the best of circumstances (he said she said stuff, statute of limitations, willingness of law enforcement to follow up) and then add the messed up world of wrestling I can see why she would not want to go through the process.

Wrestling is weird, RVD was allegedly disliked due to his frequent potatoing of guys, yet Rollins was out there killing people and the locker room just shrugs it off.
-
Sheamus got a lot of heat for injuring people, granted that was because one of them was Daniel Bryan, but still.
-
Plus she would hardly be a mystery since she was announced as a participant before she got injured.
-
I don't think it's fair to blame Sasha here, it wasn't anything done wrong or mistimed, it was a normal spot done with someone who probably shouldn't have been cleared to be in there.
-
The difference would seem to be that Paige's injury isn't one the company is facing endless class action lawsuits over and Bryan's is.

I certainly wasn't expecting to see Mr. Pogo show up and get a run as the Ninja. The announcers complete bafflement at him doing the green mist was amazing.
