I always liked how Undertaker had multiple finishers that could believeably end a match given the circumstances. He had the triangle, the Last Ride, and of course the Tombstone. You could even argue that his chokeslam was a "jobber finish" that could end guys low on the totem pole.

High level business excecuitves seem to have a language all their own, which is almost as bad as the verbiage of a typical WWE promo that reads like an alien trying to approximate human speech.

This is pretty much testing the waters for both sides to see if WWE programming on social media platforms is going to be something worth pursuing. Worst case scenario WWE makes a few bucks off it and gets some extra oddball content to stash on the network.

Outrage, no, but Dave really should be more aware of the changing landscape and not put himself in a situation where he comes off like he's defending scumbags and/or victim bashing. As far as the second part, the most famous example that comes to mind is Ric Flair. He's had a gigantic blind spot for him and his drunken antics for years and it took his body shutting down from years of abuse for Dave to finally come to terms with it.

....and even if they could, why waste that kind of money on something that everyone knows will be 99.9999% bullshit anyway?

Bryan's all but said if he doesn't get cleared by the time his contract ends, he's leaving to go somewhere that will let him return to the ring (barring him getting a negative test result). WWE has to know he's got one foot out the door, it's odd they are doing an angle that seems to have him as the central focus. Do they think he'll stay if they make him the manager of the top heel group?
-
He came off like the person reporting the abuse was the bad person rather than the one (Elgin) who sat on the knowledge of said info for months and bad mouthed the person making the claims. Not a good look. Like generally yes, it's not normally a good trait to spill private conversations but if it's in context of exposing someone covering up abuse/talking shit on the victim then fuck that person in particular.

Its funny how they had Nia looking like Samoan Bertha Faye for the segment with Enzo but still had her come out with the other women to fight off Absolution.

(I know, it's the Sun, but the story hits all the important points) https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/5080248/wwe-legend-jerry-lawler-sexual-assault-comments/

It's been funny seeing the reaction to Jerry Lawler making less than respectable comments about women recently. Like, yeah, it's gross but did anyone expect anything else from the guy who's fondness for young girls was so well known it was made a running gag on WWE commentary?

Hunter did put Roman over at one of those events so he's a team player!

Its funny listening to Dave wonder if New Japan is popular enough to warrant a video game (in response to a reader question) when they had a pretty big tie in with Tekken 7 this year. The question wouldnt come down to New Japans popularity as much as the issue of much of the gaming market in Japan being more focused on mobile games than consoles. (to be fair I wouldnt expect Dave to be an expert on the Japanese gaming market, but it was an example of a wasted question in a segment usually limited to a handful)

I love when the crowd reacts like they did to the Matt Hardy stuff. You could feel the buzz of "oh shit, are they really going to do it?" building up to the pop for him calling for Bray's DEEEELEEESHON.

It expires in September 2018 IIRC. He's made it clear he plans to wrestle again, and unless WWE has a sudden change of heart (and unless the concussion lawsuit magically disappears they won't) it's not going to be with them. If you're aiming to be the first non WWE show to hit 10k, why would you not wait him to fall into your lap to appear on the show in some form?

So here's what I'm wondering: say they announce this show is taking place in October or November and they hint as much as they can without getting accused of tampering that Bryan will be on the show. What's going to stop WWE from pulling the same bullshit they did with Rey and decide since Bryan was injured they can extend his contract? They're going to have to announce the date/location prior to September for promotional purposes I would imagine, and I can't believe WWE would let that slide without attempting some sort of fuckery.

Look up Hot Topic's website. Spencer's Gifts is basically that plus sex toys (yes really).
-
Surely, me being in Chicago is good for at least a dozen tickets sold, but whatever dude. Same! We should pitch the Bucks the idea of a PWO Club shirt to add to the Hot Topic rotation, get some of that merch gravy train to go along with Loss being a proven ticket mover.

Wonder what will happen when Vince wakes up one day and realizes all his guys were replaced by HHH guys . I've long theorized Hunter's long game was to basically do a bloodless coup. Vince is wrestling's Queen Elizabeth and will probably live forever at this rate, I don't see HHH settling for being the Prince Charles of sports entertainment. Come on Vince isn't being outmaneuvered in his own company until he's like 95. I used to think that too, but I see the chess pieces being put in place. He's got an entire ecosystem built in Orlando to replace all but the highest levels, so bit by bit everyone will end up an HHH Guy.

I think Suzuki is just another example of the voter's fetish for guys with "real fighter" cred even if most of his famous fights may have been worked to some degree or another. Also I was shocked at Lewin if for no other reason I didn't think we'd ever see anyone get in mainly based on Australia credentials. I figured it would be next to impossible for anyone to get in from the "Miscellaneous" category.

The new class is AJ Styles, Minoru Suzuki, Pedro Morales, Mark Lewin, and the Sharpe Brothers.

I figured it was for copyright reasons, but shes been using the name in NXT for a while so its funny they just realized this now.

As someone who grew up on episodic territory shows from JCP, World Class, and the UWF that always holds a special place in my heart. I've never been a fan of watching one match separately, you lose a lot of context not knowing why everything built up to what you're watching. So much of the old stuff was bulding to a crescendo that even if the week to week stuff sometimes fell flat the payoff at the end was almost always worth it. I think that's why current NJPW appeals to me, as they clearly have a path planned out to each major show.

SoCal could work since it's the Bucks' home base, New Japan drew well there, and PWG fans can see what it's like to watch a show in a building that seats more than 400.

Ruby's Lady Shield team is now called the Riott Squad because WWE gonna WWE and has to change her name to Ruby Riott.
