So getting back to WON related issues, looks like their web host decided to take a dump on the second biggest day of activity they have.

I don't get Tanahashi going over at all. Getting Jay White over aside, he's spent most of 2017 working on a body held together with duct tape and wishes. I thought for sure they would want to get the IC belt off him and maybe lock him in a room for a couple months to finally heal.

I saw it mentioned on Twitter, but doesn't it seem the Switchblade gimmick was meant for someone else and Jay White was the last minute backup plan? He doesn't seem to fit at all, and it comes off as very WWE like seeing a round peg in a square hole like that. Speaking of WWE like, having a card full of good to great matches and an undercard that mostly overdelivered only to have all the discussion after be about baffiling booking decisions made it seem like Vince had a hand in booking WK12.

The main dump is set for 1/8, we might get some stuff showing up in the "Classic content for January" folder before that.

Madusa had a knee replacement not to long ago so there won't be any Alundra Blaze iin the Rumble either. I bet we get a Lita and Trish apppearance, maybe Beth Phoenix too.

The Steam version seems to have blown away all expectations, and if the PS4 version does any good at all I'd expect them to at least consider a Switch version.

NJPW (and CMLL for that matter) should just run Hiromu vs Dragon Lee forever.

New Japan has been teasing a video game announcment at their fan fest today, and it turns out it's them teaming up with the Fire Pro World team for the PS4 release. There will be official edits/rings/aprons along with a NJPW based story mode.

They can get to Brock/Roman II without having to piss off their most rabid fanbase (again), there wouldn't be any reason to do it than pure spite and pettiness (which is probably the exact reason they'll do it). As far as the Ronda thing, it would be pretty cool to get to the end, and just when you think she won't be in it have Bad Reputation start playing as she does the Goldberg entrance. Plus you'd have to think most of the crowd will have convinced themselves she's going to be there and it will end up being a letdown if she's not.

I don't think WWE would dare have Roman win another Rumble in Philly of all places. I could see them teasing it and have him be in the last four, but I think a Smackdown guy is winning to set up a program with AJ (Nak I hope).

I'm expecting a lot of "surprise" names in the women's Rumble. There's only 19 women on the main roster, and i don't see them using too many NXT names other than maybe Ember and the Iconic Duo. Also it looked like they are teasing Asuka winning the title before the Rumble, and if she does that would seem to be a giveaway that Ronda's entering and winning. That seems to be the match WWE wants to do, and it would be such a typical thing for the company to build this as a huge moment for the women's division and have an outsider come in and win it.

They've already stated it's an over the top rope battle royale. Funny enough, I'd more expect the women they bring back from the Attitude Era to fill it out less likely/able to bump over the top rope.

The match was fine, but Alexa's run as champ really exposes that for as great as she is as a character/performer she kinda sucks at the actual wrestling part.

I've often wondered why a known sadistic asshole like Billington never retaliated from getting his teeth KTFO, that would certainly explain it. I have to admit, the idea of the "All-American Boys" Rougeaus being secretly mobbed up makes that gimmick about 1000x more entertaining.

It never made sense to me why they didn't put the belt on Sarge. You had someone who was the #2 most popular guy in wrestling fall in your lap, why not put the rocket on him? I mean i realize the answer is "because Verne" but still....

Doesn't Taker have at least a couple of younger kids with Michelle McCool? I can see the pull of doing "one more" to put some extra feathers in that nest.

He's made a lot of real estate investments, and those tend to go real well or real bad with little in between. Him always coming back despite having a body of someone 20+ years older seems to suggest which way his went. Plus I'm sure Taker *needing* a Mania payoff is different than me *needing* to pick up some extra OT to help pay for Christmas. Economies of scale an all that.

Sounds like she took a kick in the back from Sasha Banks and got a stinger, but after her neck problems it's good they are being careful. Hopefully she'll be back in the ring at least by the Rumble. There's a GIF of the spot making its way around Twitter now, I don't know if she wasn't expecting the kick or Sasha put something extra on it, but it was kind of sickening seeing someone who's just back from neck surgery have their head whip like that. She was shaking her arm after like it was a stinger, but she tried getting up and fell down like Austin did after the botched piledriver so that's probably where the "it's not as bad as it looked in the ring" is coming from.

He's said he tried to find out and all anyone will tell him is that it wasn't injury related.

Last I heard wrestling on TV in Japan got shunted to the late night/overnight hours.

Wrestling magazines were huge for a long time, newspapers cover it in the sports section (or at least they did) fairly regularly.

Streaming never caught on in Japan for whatever reason, at least not for subscription sites. The only video service I've ever heard mentioned in terms of Japan is NicoNico which is basically just their version of YouTube.

Looks like Hideo broke Brian Kendrick's face with the GTS on Monday, broken nose/orbital bone.

Pretty sure no one is saying anything like that.
