Goc, warlord dear tingly moved like an action figure. I've often said its like he couldn't bend his arms. Remember the little lever at the back of the Thundercats toys where it would move arms up and down? He was like a life size version of that.

And you still aren't the oldest Titan?

The Ric Flair vs. Ronnie Garvin Feud

Such echoing Chad and Brian. I love love love the 12/85 studio match. -
Someone get me a pic of Montrel!
-
Ive been thinking about that, and I'm not sure that I believe it. Here is Montreal If you google image search, there is a pic of Dave and Earl together in 1999, three years later. Dave had put on a lot more weight than Earl.

I've been finding it a lot harder to get into Choshu vs. Fujinami than I did to get into Choshu in AJPW. Trying to figure out why. I just watched 4/21/83 but I'm going to watch it a second time before finishing review and posting.

I'd like to request Chad to do a show with Steven on this. Chad is probably the highest profile Liger pimper.

That wiki entry is almost certainly wrong. Dave started in late 70s same as earl.

The Lapsed Fan Starrcade
JerryvonKramer replied to Judy Bagwell's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Maybe this could all culminate with Chad and I have these guys on WTBBP one time. I've not listened myself and am unlikely to until the new year, just because I'm snowed under right now. -
[MMA] Fights with genuinely different styles?
JerryvonKramer replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling Mostly
Some fantastic posts from ssupremebvem here. Thanks guy. One other quick question: I've seen some people described as street fighters? What does that mean exactly? What is a real life street fighter? Just someone who grew up fighting literally in the street? -
Pete is over 40?!

The Lapsed Fan Starrcade

I actually have insomnia and since Titans is often recorded at about 3am my time, can tell you that this is factually not accurate. Judy is it just the era, Backlund etc. you don't like? Always interested when peeps listen to WTBBP but not Titans. -
British Bulldog was the all-time best at saying "The Warlord" His Lancashire accent would always be very strong on the "lord" part.

"Zed man" please. One of my least fave workers.

I'd say that in the Hulkamamiacs vs. Money Inc. feud of 1993, Hogan is mostly in the right. However, at Wrestlemania 9, he does illegally steal IRS's briefcase, break into and enter it, then steals Dibiase's money and gives it away like an orange Robin Hood. And this is after Jack Tunney yet again screws Ted over by changing the rules of wrestling on the fly for no reason! Hogan would complete his heel turn later that night.
-
Honestly believe that Andre was basically justified in his feud too. AND DiBiase was. I covered this in great detail on a show once. But essentially Tunney screwed him.
-
Did you really side with Assassin in that feud? I mean I fell in love with him, but as an awesome intellectual heel. What did Wrestling 2 do that was heelish? If anyone hasn't watched the build to that feud and the promos, Assassin is legit a top 5 talker of all time.

Using my top-level research skills, it appears that Earl is actually the older brother: http://www.kayfabenews.com/dave-hebner-finally-admits-that-he-not-earl-screwed-bret/ In other Hebner related news, apparently it was Dave and not Earl who screwed Bret!

For what it's worth I am finding myself drawn to want to watch UFC 2 now. -
I don't expect him to do that no. Just seems strange that they couldn't work something out. I'd imagine he was offered *something*, but he's holding out for more? I guess it is possible he was offered *nothing*, which is approaching what I'd imagine he'd get for it.
-
It's like on a show Pete, when I say the same thing ten minutes later and you say "I said that just now!"
-
I always assumed it was Dave just because Earl was evil twin.

My question would simply be this: What is the point of holding onto the rights to those matches if he's not going to sell them? And let's face it, if Vince doesn't buy them will there be a single other bidder? So Bret is fighting for the right to keep those matches in his bedroom? Surely he wants to get paid or there wouldn't be an issue. I said Bret screwed Bret on the basis that he's likely holding out for a better offer, and given that Stampede is probably the lowest thing possible on anyone's priority list, this means they likely never see the light of day again.
