  1. I got nothing.
  2. Lewin just released a book? Only one I see from him is 2 years old...
  3. Yep - same idea as Takada.
  4. Personally, for me, the best wrestling physique was Nobuhiko Takada in his prime. Obviously great condition while still looking athletic.
  5. I would say most promotions didn't have one. Maybe for JCP, it was the Thanksgiving tag tournaments. The WWWF didn't have one.
  6. Sounds like me back in my math teacher days. "I never make mistakes - I'm just seeing if you guys are paying attention!"
  7. Didnt the WWF show Rick McGraw's final match AFTER he died (and then announced his death the week after)? I guess the Marella incident isnt that scummy to be honest, it's more of an example of what can go wrong with pre-taped shows (see also the problems that happened with the WCW Disney tapings). As I recall, they showed him wrestling Roddy Piper and then implied that the beating administered by Piper had led to McGraw's death. But it was all in one show.
  8. As a man who has been blessed with amazing good looks, great athletic ability, and general awesomeness, I'm tired of being judged by haters like you. It isn't my fault that women throw themselves at me. It isn't my fault even homeless people offer me money for the privilege of looking upon my face. It isn't my fault that I have adoring fans despite the fact that I don't really do anything but wake up in the morning and piss greatness. You can't justifiably hate me for it any more than you can hate Matt Sydal for it. Gorgeous Jimmy, is that you?
  9. If that's the same match I'm thinking of, which I have as 2/19/79, I wasn't impressed. Way too much stalling and selling of exhaustion where it wasn't appropriate.
  10. Yes, definitely 1980.
  11. It felt like a lot of crossover to me but Capitol is written so much better that I didn't mind it.
  12. Iron Mike wasn't a jobber in the WWF. He got title shots.
  13. Great book. Worst title, description, and cover ever. Supposed to talk about the WWF and Tim spends 20% of the book on it. And stops in January 1984. But, yeah, the early stuff is great. Lot of the same material as the NWA book, only much better editing and focus.
  14. I'm pretty sure the Dusty/Graham bullrope match was shown on a classics show and that's how it came to be circulated.
  15. FYI, the Rich/Kamala and Duggan/Doc tag match were both previously available. Rich/Kamala aired on the 12/15/84 episode of PPW. The tag match aired on the 1/18/86 episode of PPW.
  16. It's not.
  17. FOR SURE.
  18. Ok. The post I responded to only mentioned JYD and Duggan.
  19. What about Dr. Death?
  20. What's the video quality like on these matches? Are they complete? Pro shot or film?
  21. That's not the 57 min Murdoch vs. Reed match is it? I'm pretty sure the match you're thinking of is from Oklahoma City, 9/22/85.
  22. Dibiase/Chavo was shown on Power Pro and stinks. Incredibly short.
  23. Well, it's not QUITE the same but there is a Nobuhiko Takada vs Abdullah match on the aforementioned 10/8/96 Tokyo Pro show. It's as awful as you might imagine and ends with
  24. Yeah, that's a mistake. I've got the 10/8/96 show and Kiyoshi Tamura isn't on it.
  25. My list of 5-star matches is really short: Malenko vs Guerrero, 4/15/95 (am afraid to rewatch - might drop quite a bit) Kobashi vs Williams, 8/31/93 Flair vs Steamboat, 4/2/89 Flair vs Steamboat, 5/7/89 Misawa/Kobashi vs Kawada/Taue, 6/9/95 Kobashi vs Kawada, 10/18/96 Kobashi vs Misawa, 10/31/98 Kobashi vs Misawa, 6/11/99
