Yeah, but when Eastenders brought in the Ferreira family it did more harm than good because of shitty writing, and lack of understanding of the culture of the community which they were representing. It's important that you have people with knowledge of these races and cultures and so can appreciate the little nuances and bring them out in their writing, rather than Johnny Whitebread brushing with broad strokes because he's got Bengali friends so can "write for them". How many of the writing team are black? I bet it's not many, if any. Ditto Latino. Dave Kapoor is Asian of course but I'm not sure how many other Asians there are. It's Middle class white guys, and they're always going to struggle to write for other ethnicities, because they simply don't know. A more multicultural writing staff would lend itself to a stronger showing for non-whites in WWE.

As I said on twitter, don't get caught up in sexting if you've a pindick like Rollins. At least if you've a sizable meat truncheon and it gets leaked you can say "Yeah, it's massive isn't it?" with a knowing smile and hopefully more ladies will sext you and you can have more dirty wank fun.

Everytime I hear anything to do with Philadephia, which isn't connected to Rocky Balboa for the record, it just makes me think they're a bunch of dicks in that city.

Advantages of watching 'live' verses Classic footage

Waltman was great, and really shone in TV formula matches against a multitude of opponents, for me. However, he's against Double A, who shone even more in TV formula matches. For me, that was both their major strength. You could throw either of them out against pretty much anyone on TV, give them 6 minutes, and you've a decent match. However, i think Anderson shades him on that. I'd take Waltman over about 90% of pro wrestlers, but not in this one. And, for me, while Waltman was a tremendous worker he just doesn't have the CV consisting of sheer volume of standout matches that Anderson does. If Waltman ever had a run like Anderson's TV title runs though, where he's given a featured spot to put on solid 10 minute matches on company programming every week for an extended period of time though, and we could be having a different conversation,

Wrestling Doesn't Pay... Except when it does
ButchReedMark replied to Fantastic's topic in Pro Wrestling
I honestly blame Mick Foley. He seemed to spend half of his first book burying Marc Mero for having the gall to take a great offer. Misdirecting anger if you ask me. And in 1996, and if I was Vince, I'd have probably given the same deal. -

Well, that's not true. I'm on no social media, I don't post while shows are on, I don't get bogged down in the conversations about it, maybe I just like watching live wrestling? I thoroughly subscribe to "Everything is better live", be it wrestling, gigs, or Wales trouncing England next Friday night. -

I'm a lot better at watching live wrestling than older stuff, as I can have a bad habit at times of going straight to the finishes. -

Was the Stevie Ray wage a case of the "No, we're not racists, see? We're paying this black bloke loads and he's SHIT!". -

Also, you can not beat his prices, and you sure can't beat his meat! -
Oh right. The term "was the big time" just would signify star power to me.

Kevin Nash in WCW was a much bigger star than Diesel.
-
Yeah, but they're booking it as it could be a good match and that's it, looking at the twitter exchanges. Not because one really wants to beat the other or a real reason, just "let's have a match because it'd be dead good" and I hate that kind of booking.

Yeah I finally sucumbed to the Network and ordered just so I can watch the Rumble. I enjoyed it anyway shame the internet kids didnt but hey they expect too much. How are you posting? Carrier Pigeon or something? Ha.

Aapparently some people have received refunds from SKY with Sky Sports free for six months after WWE shown the Rumble last night. Sky must be ecstatic with WWE.
-
Despite their hand being forced, WWE had a golden opportunity to do something new and different and exciting tonight, even if just for one week, a fresh presentation which could have gone some way to placate complaints from last night, but instead Michael Cole does his best Sean Mooney impression in the control centre and the foibles of last night are just exposed to an even bigger crowd. Now millions of people are going to see just how boring a Royal Rumble match can be!
-
Now it's started I am actually angry that I paid £9.99, for WWE to give the matches away from free the next night. Fuck them. And fuck JBL being a weatherman on the roof, he's no Dave Brown in yet another field.

Lord knows we need 15 minutes for a mini gig from whoever "WWE'S Favourite Band!" is that year or some other waste of time.
-
LAW tweeted they're showing the Rumble match and the Triple Threat match. It's bad enough WWE like to call people that buy the PPVs stupid all the time, but that'd make me really pissed.

I currently have Harris Brothers levels of hatred for Kane. One of my least favourite performers of all time.

He turned on friend of the nWo Barry Windham by DQing him in a match against Dean Malenko as special guest referee at the end of 1998 where if Dean won, Flair would get his match against Bischoff at Starrcade.
