  1. Stumbled on this earlier. Pretty awesome collection of 122 Piper's Pit's (complete?), conveniently in chronological order. This channel was linked earlier-big time Roddy fan. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhREHzJ0Z0rX72wWub2b3fX637Yntj26z Also, myself Johnny Sorrow and Marty "Superstar" Sleeze are planning to put together an epic career retrospective podcast on Piper later this week. Stay tuned
  2. Ricky Jackson

    NXT talk

My guess is they want to tell the story of Bayley on the road back to regaining the title from the monster for a Mania weekend show, so Jax has to win the title now
  3. Awesome. Thanks man
  4. Does any footage of the matches they had in Australia back in 09 or whenever exist? I'm listening to the Flair pod with Hulk right now and they talk about the bloodbaths they had on that tour and I now have a morbid curiosity to see one
  5. Really great worker from 1984-1988. Excellent as a babyface and as a heel. Great tag wrestler. Fun matches as a kid against Piper in 84. Great matches with the Islanders in 86 and 87, both as faces and heels. One of the more underrated talents of the 80s IMO
  6. Sylvester Ritter vs "Irish" Paddy Ryan on 11/12/78 Stampede is a fun, messy five minute brawl with Ryan bleeding all over the place
  7. Rodz should not be clumped in the "undeserving" group
  8. Part of it was Watts' never ending quest to recapture the phenomenon of early 80s JYD
  9. Nominating Tonga Kid/Tama/Samoan Savage/Sam Fatu via http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/20499-haku/?hl=%2Bthe+%2Bislanders&do=findComment&comment=5558621 (I thought Sleeze made an Islanders thread but I can't find it) and Tag Teams Back Again podcast
  10. They pretty much have no choice but to turn her because she's totally dead as a babyface
  11. Great post Matt Horrible, horrible post rvd356
  12. It's what they did after the first match. Then they did the Dragonball storyline of the heel becoming good after losing to Goku/Bayley (both the post match and the build up to the second match seemed to indicate this) only for Sasha to turn again during the match and then turn back after the match. That's a lot closer to how TNA would book something than great narration. I don't think any of the hugging was supposed to be part of the storyline. It's just another example of a shoot moment the WWE has no problem showing in 2015
  13. I think that's the first time I've received a gif response to a post. Big message board right of passage
  14. They're women. They hug things out after fighting
  15. Also Tag Teams Back Again under the podcasts devoted to a style category. Could also fit in other areas
  16. Bob Backlund. A lot of people can't get past the look and bad promos (when he was WWF champ). Parv hates his "constant struggle", where he takes too much of the match. I love the guy, and so do a lot of fans. Tons of great matches against a who's who of opponents and a goofy charisma that I find endearing.
  17. I loved Brock vs Reigns but of the two it will be the forgotten one. Kind of already is outside of uber hardcore places like this

  20. Yeah, he's been a great source for Tag Teams Back Again lately. Also, speaking of great sources for WWF footage, TSteck160's account has been reactivated at Dailymotion. Tons of cool stuff on his channel
  21. Here's the Playlist Only thing missing is Islanders vs Roma and Powers from MSG, but that is available on Youtube if you wish to view it. This also includes the matches we will be looking at for part 2. Everything is in chronological order. Enjoy
  22. http://placetobenation.com/tag-teams-back-again-episode-12-strike-force-vs-the-islanders-part-1/ The wait is over! Kelly and Marty bring you part 1 of their long-awaited look at the sensational Strike Force vs The Islanders feud of 1987. No stone is left unturned, as the boys look at the build towards this epic battle. Follow along as the Islanders turn heel, Tom Zenk leaves his partner high and dry, Ricky Martel goes at it solo, and finally, Tito Santana enters the fray. Part 2 (dropping in a few weeks) will look at the war between the two teams in various cities in the Northeast. On tonight's show: Can-Am Connection vs The Islanders 5/30 Superstars The Islanders vs Paul Roma and Jim Powers 6/14 MSG Rick Martel/JYD vs The Islanders 7/11 Boston Rick Martel vs Tama 7/25 MSG Rick Martel vs Haku 8/22 MSG Strike Force vs The Islanders 9/21 MSG
  23. Yeah "Vince hates Owens" makes absolutely no sense. He's being pushed. Fairly well.
