This match is really awesome. Marty and I will be reviewing it on the next Tag Teams Back Again podcast. Fantastic work from everyone, Beefer and Zed Man included. The finish is original and I really dug it. I'm at work now so I'll elaborate later. If anyone wants to check it out it's on Dailymotion. Search for Best of the WWF volume 11. It's the first match on the tape after Gene's intro. Highly recommended

This is one I haven't seen in years, probably 20+. I don't remember it being anything special. I've seen it mentioned in various places as one of the best WWF tag matches ever and that has always baffled me. It's been in the back of my mind to rewatch for ages to see if it is better than I remember. I think now with having the Network I'm going to sit down and watch the whole card, it was one of my favorites when I was a kid

That's crazy. I used to live in Victoria and the city has, for whatever reason, a rep for fan incidents at WWE shows. Once, I believe a fan hit the ring and attempted to attack HHH. The most famous incident happened in 2009 after the only WWE show I ever attended while living there. Chris Jericho got into heated confrontation with two fans in the parking lot and a video of it went viral on youtube. The one fan was a total moron, I saw him inside the arena earlier walking around wearing a merch table belt and behaving like the show was a shoot. I wrote to a wrestling site to give my account of the fan and about a half hour later the Victoria PD called me based on that account being posted on the site and they told me I could be called as a witness if it ever went to trial. Of course it never did. Funny thing is Victoria is a pretty sleepy town and not exactly known for rowdy sports fans or anything, but something about WWE shows turns the people mad.

Yeah he worked New Japan in 77 as Piper and 78 as Masked Canadian. Lost pretty much every match on both tours

Just read Meltzer's bio and wondered what is out there of Piper's 1983 tour of All-Japan, which looks like may have been his only work in Japan http://wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=275&bild=1&details=7&liga=14&jahr=1983

Yeah the Kallies were cancelled after the Holiday Inn across from the Spectrum was torn down and Kal demanded too much money to host My personal 1981 MVP was Slaughter of course. Match of the Year was 1. Backlund vs Valentine 11/23 2. Patterson vs Slaughter Alley Fight 5/4 3. Backlund vs Slaughter cage match 3/21 Maybe the boys can chime in with their thoughts

IMO for Muraco in 81 WWF the Texas Death Match against Pedro 11/23 is good, I wasn't blown away by the Backlund matches, and the rest is Dullsville (avoid every other match against Pedro like the plague)

Often forgotten periods of a wrestlers career...

That's one I've always wondered about. It went on for a few weeks at least. I can remember my friends speculating on who it was. Wonder why it was dropped and what plans, if any, they had for the gimmick -

Thanks for the praise man. These shows are a labour of love and it's great people are digging them. Those recommendations look really solid. I've seen a few of them over the years but a lot I haven't. We are planning on looking at some of the 87 ones for sure. Love "Stundy", not sure about "Sholkoff".☺ Hogan and Koko vs Kamala and Honky is definitely topical -
