Sky Pirates are my new favorite thing in wrestling
  3. Yeah, I've found that super annoying too
  4. https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-57 Episode 57 May 14, 1983 (WCCW 73) The boys return to the Sportatorium for a fun show from the WCCW crew, featuring... -A thorough discussion about Jimmy Garvin as a performer in the 1980s -Chris Adams goes for tea with Bill Mercer, wrestles, and makes the save in two matches! -What the heck is Butcher Vachon doing here? -Kamala is God damn CANNIBAL and he thinks Jose Lothario is tasty -And a major angle between the Iceman and the Freebirds!
  5. Hell yeah. That MSG show has been one of my ultimate Holy Grails for years. You never know these days...

  7. I love both guys but Bryan vs Styles wasn't even the best match on a show that is still going on let alone since 2017
  8. That was a super fun
  9. Wow, what a great match
  10. Damn, it sucks if Rhonda is done after Mania because she's so friggin great
  11. Barf
  12. Any surprise predictions? Is this whole Cena deal a work and they're going to try and do a reprise of 2008?
  13. Stacked card. Stadium setting. My usual group watch isnt happening this year, so I'm watching at home with my wife present (not a wrestling fan), enjoying some good beer and food. Should be fun
  14. Put DeNucci in finally
  15. Really good show. Loved the women's match
  16. They're going with he "injured" himself training for the Rumble, no?
  17. Guess those promo skills are maybe as good as they're ever going to be, as it sounds like Mania is it for Rousey in WWE, and that has always been the plan since she signed, per Dave
  18. They mix them up because Vince Sr co-promoted with Kohler in Chicago in the early 60s and there was talent overlap
  19. She's basically still a rookie. With time, she'll be fine True, I dont watch Raw or even bother to track down videos of her promos, so i actually dont know HOW bad she has been
  20. 93 and 94 are nothing special, but still, they happened during a time when the big shows felt more important because there were only 5 of them (and KOTR was new) and the Rumble gimmick was well protected, so I think they have aged pretty well, as has the era in general. They meddled with the formula in 95 and that Rumble sucked, but by then the WWF had already lost its way and would only get worse. PPV was watered down by having one every month, title changes became more and more frequent, gimmicks were lamer, etc. Then things became dark and violent, and that was fun for a few years, but whatever. Anyway, point is early Rumbles are awesome
  21. 1990-94 Rumbles are all very rewatchable imo. Some of my favorite stuff WWE has ever done
  22. I heard she didn't want to drop the strap in her hometown on the way out of the territory, and because she had creative control over her last 30 days they had to shoot the title off her
  23. World Cast of the Champions II: Mid South, 12/31/1985 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-of-the-champions-ii-mid-south-12311985 World Cast of the Champions is back for the second straight week and this time the boys look at a Mid South show from New Year's Eve 1985! On the docket: -The Bruise Brothers (Porkchop Cash and "Mad Dog" Boyd) vs. Eddie Gilbert and the Nightmare -Terry Taylor vs. Rob Rechsteiner -Jake Roberts vs. Sir Oliver Humperdink -"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan vs. Dick Slater -"Hacksaw" Butch Reed vs. "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer -Plus, the main event, not found on the WWE Network, Ted Dibiase vs. Dick Murdoch! Two "Hacksaws" and two "Mad Dogs", plus a bunch of blood and some really good matches = a kick ass card. This show was a blast to do, so everyone enjoy!!!
  24. Congrats to mookieghana for landing a pretty sweet gig with AEW
