  1. If one match with a given opponent at that level is enough to include them, then yes, he should be a 10.
  2. Really depends on your threshold for quality of the match, but I'd probably argue all of the names noted above are ahead of Gordy on Misawa's book of work. Same for Chono, and specially Hash & Nagata from the Zero-1 tag.
  3. He was going to get the title at Mania 30 until the Bryan thing took over. Not sure how much beef he necessarily as over it as he was more than a good sport in putting Bryan over and coming back for the Shield matches, but he's also at a point in his career now where he absolutely does not need WWE and doesn't have to bite his tongue. They want to be associated with him more than he does them. That changes the dynamic.
  4. YES.
  5. Misawa & Kawada Bull & Aja In both cases the former is clearly above the latter for me, but barely so.

Banks-Noami. But yeah, better than AJ-Jericho. Thought it was Banks's best match on the main roster. By a longshot.
  7. I might need to rewatch the first match, because I thought it was good but nothing special (3 1/2 ish) while I liked Webster's match more. Mid way through main event now, so can't comment. You're able to objectively rate a big match while stopping midway through to do other things?
  8. Its underwhelming to say the least, and with the state of the roster am not sure what options they have to even juice it up. Cena pulling another rabbit out of his hat and making it back for Taker would help, but that also leaves a Brock match that doesn't exactly feel like a special attraction. Could put together a decent card just with the injured list, but hey, this is where we are.
  9. Not exactly Toyota-specific, and at least partly due to my inability to begin framing the list, but I am having a real tough time placing the women. Not at all comfortable with them high, low, just finding it a lot more difficult to look at them comparatively than I expected.
  10. Release the results, then hate a vote on who's on the podcast discussing them
  11. I think it sucks. But arbitrary and stupid things happen at offices everywhere. This is just the BS one finds in the workplace there.
  12. Off the top of my head Arn may place highest on my list of those without a run of singles MOTYCs.
  13. I don't get the criticism there either. He likes modern New Japan quite a bit, but has also been very quick to note business slipping, especially recently. If its not someone's taste they're not obligated to share his appreciation of it. Reviewing matches isn't objective reporting.
  14. Fortunately, there's no reason to rush it due to Bryan's health. Save it for down the road. Lord knows they need living headliners.
  15. That's the great thing about opinions and feelings.
  16. Really interesting interview with him on Sportscenter. Short story is they found a lesion on his brain which it turns out was causing post-concussion seizures he'd been hiding. Frightening stuff. Hopefully good health for him the rest of the way.
  17. The Andre comparison is vey, very interesting for the reasons you noted. I'd have the Bryan match above Hansen or Khan for Andre. Not sure about the Foley Rumble match. After that not sure Andre has anything touching trip's top 10.
  18. The DA tags are fun but I don't see how anything in the 90s makes or breaks Windham's case. Just not enough relevance there unless you're eager to punish someone for their post-prime work.
  19. Haven't thought about him but will. Gut is no but until I start writing down and then removing names I can't be sure. By the way the thought of actually constructing a list is beyond daunting. Have had so much fun watching and thinking about the list but I have no clue when and how I'll start putting pen to paper.

All-time incredible moment. Will not be forgetting any part of that anytime soon.

Damn close to tears during the opening video. I am such a bitch. Hopefully we get the shenanigans out of the way and end up with an all-time memorable Raw.
  22. Here's hoping he has long and healthy post-wrestling life. One of the best ever.
  23. Not sure I could point to many Dusty classics, but do think the Flair match at Starrcade and perhaps a couple others are in that range. But I also enjoy just about every Dusty match I come across. His charisma kicks just about everything he touches north of watchable and is an underrated part of a slew of multi-man matches and brawls in Crockett and Midsouth. Absolute lock on my list. One of the few wrestlers, fair or unfair, where its near impossible to separate the in-ring from the out of ring because of sheer force of personality.
  24. Bring back the play by play and description!
  25. Went to a number of ROH shows with friends that often involved getting shitfaced because there was no way they were going to watch wrestling without alcohol. So while I barely remember Joe & Danielson vs. KentaFuji, I do remember how much fun we had chanting for Joe all night. But those nights were few and far between. I'll always have a drink (meaning a single drink) before going out to dinner on Saturday and will usually watch some wrestling then, but that's not exactly getting hammered. Otherwise generally stone cold sober unless someone comes over to watch a PPV and we crack a beer. Basically its like going to or watching a game. If I really want to enjoy it then that's not a night to consume copiously.
