    Lord Al Hayes cuts us to an Ultimate Maniacs promo, where Warrior looks to be having a seizure. Then Flair, Razor & Perfect with a promo also promoting Survivor Series. Wasn't this airing after Warrior & DBS were axed, because that happened before the decision to put the belt on Hart? Razor was really great on the stick.

    Hart promo after winning the title, apparently taped the same night. Thanks fans, family, Flair, talks extensively about his wrestling ability and training with his father. Definitely a change in tune from the top faces before that.

    I did not dig this very much at all. This was pretty good when Hamada was in, and too much like an exhibition when he wasn't. The first fall had a hot finishing sequence, the second was predictable and predictably quick, while the third had a terribly anticlimactic finish. Too long for what they did even if the work wasn't bad, just not particularly captivating. **3/4

    The crowd is super hot from the intros, with a completely different kind of electricicty when Jumbo tags in to face Misawa. I thought Taue was less prominent here than was typical for him this year. This feels subpar for a 1992 AJPW 6 man, which means its still superior to your run of the mill elsewhere, but falls far below expectations. Definitely the Kikuchi show as he sells a ton for Jumbo & Taue before hot tagging Misawa. Ogawa then gets to throw some offense on Misawa & Kobashi, who's out there with an incredibly awful looking bruise the back of his thigh. ***3/4

    I thought this was great. We can only imagine what's going through Bret's head as he walks to the ring, but it has to be a hell of a feeling. Not much to add that hasn't been covered here, but as much as they may not have enjoyed working with each other I sure as hell liked the product. Flair didn't mail this one in at all, selling the hell out of his arm during Hart's early shine and continuing to do so after an early transition puts him on offense. If anything, it felt like he went out of his way to put Hart over strong throughout before going down for his finisher. The hope spots & comebacks were timed well to build heat towards the culmination and a massive pop. Best match of the year so far for both of them. ****1/4

    I've been traveling for a week and had my ipod charger, but not the computer Its synced with , so I'm a couple episodes behind this and a couple other podcasts I frequent. Going to be a long catchup.

    I'm with Brick on this one, black & blue Kobashi was great, but never felt like Kobashi.

    Those wipers were amazing. Maybe its just me but one of the more memorable moments from this era, perhaps because because they always included it in recap videos.

    I was going to be unhelpful and say every Shield 6 man from TV, but Jimmy gave you more than a significant sampling. Along with Punk/Cena from the February Raw, those are probably my favorite WWE matches of the year -- PPV or TV, before Summerslam.     That is the story of their whole feud so far. Sub-fifteen minute trios, with insane pacing and sick levels of violence Maybe its because I was trying to catch up on some other things at the same time, but that felt like it went by in a flash. Are they building to a hair match there as well?

    The Rush/Casas trios was way too short. A shame they couldn't squeeze find those minutes elsewhere in the undercard.

    I think the fact that Vince didn't go over the top in the Austin feud - at least as far as what he was asking of his employee - is what made it so easy for people to relate to and loathe that type of character.

    I'm generally a guy who prefers offense, but Morton is one of the best sellers I've ever seen and that's enough for him to take this one.

    If this conversation continues, everyone has to speak as though they're a character on The Wire. Its the only it can be fun.

    Cactus is great on the mic again, and he gets Jake talking about Spinner's Choice option which he says could end Sting's career and teases that it'll end up with a snake on Sting. Good stuff.

    Watts looks like a complete stiff. Promo is boring as hell.

    Did Cactus's mic work here get him any kind of increased push? He was great here even if Barbarian was a mid-card act. This is a great video but I still don't understand why Barbarian is the top contender.

    Sting is not 2013 Sting on the mic, but classic Jake is still classic. Such an awesome heel. Loss hit this one on the head -- you were waiting for a silly angle to happen, but they kept it simple and let them work it on the mic. Then again, they also did that video in the bar with Mad USA & the midgets.

    Man this was awesome. Watts talks about Eddie Graham, going back to cage matches, Texas Death, First Blood, Pole and other matches. The NWA didn't want to sanction those matches so they symbolically turn off the lights to note that its unsanctioned. That was actually an explanation I'd never heard before. I assume its legit?

    Horner has a concussion but will still wrestle DWB. That sure wouldn't fly today. Ron Wright is just great, and DWB is a solid heel but far from a world champion. The RNR deliver a promo about Cornette saying they can't challenge for the titles again. They promise a surprise for Cornette. Morton says its for the Midnight--excuse me, Heavenly Bodies, and he laughs at it too.

    Clips from MSC with boards, signs, chairs as per the usual here. Fun looking brawl but the crowd doesn't seem as hot as earlier in the year. Lawler piledrives the ref and its called off. Good for what it was.
