  1. Outstanding video packages made by WWE for Mania never get old. This one is outstanding.
  2. He's certainly the most talked about center I've ever seen. Never has a player that played the position had a third of the good press Kelce got, specially the last 5 years
  3. Lane Johnson jumping the top rope like nothing. These linemen are real freak athletes.
  4. Finally watching. That Aguas Frescas advertising is distracting as all hell, lol.
  5. Exactly, I associate green with Philly because of the Eagles. I love how WWE embraced the more simple stage for the PLEs now that they are so hot and sell so many tickets. Places look jam packed and they still figured out a way to make the entrances look distinct/special enough.
  6. Swerve has to win the belt, imo. You kill him if he doesn't beat Joe and then has to play n°2 babyface while Ospreay goes for the belt at Wembley, he just becomes another guy on the roster and I don't think AEW can afford that. Strickland winning would feel important. And him main eventing a 50-60k Wembley as champion against a white hot Ospreay would elevate him and solidify him to a point where you can then start putting him in angles and feuds without a belt and still feel big. Swerve vs MJF, Swerve vs Mox, Swerve vs Cole (well, Cole fucking sucks but I'm talking from what the core AEW fanbase seem to perceive as big deals) would all feel much more impactful if Strickland has a 4 month run that culminates in the second biggest show of the year in all of wrestling (after Mania weekend, of course).
  7. I think he's always sucked as a babyface promo. She makes everyone forget about it as soon as she has a match and once she turns heel. He should win the Continental Classic this year.
  8. Yeah, the Austin stuff is basically dependent on Rock and Roman winning in Night 1. Which kinda has to happen so Rock is guaranteed to be present in Night 2. I think Cody is teflon at this point. Much more than Cena ever was in terms of 100% approval with the WWE audience. A monster pop for Stone GOAT so he can take Rock out of the way and Roman-Cody are finally one on one would be very much worth it. WWE is red hot right now, I don't see anyone thinking "boy this current Era is not as good as the past" just because Austin shows up, lol.
  9. I've followed the feud more this year because of Rock but the fact that the samoans should win the tag match on night 1 and that they have beaten the shit out of Cody all feud long kinda tells me they are going for an "against all odds" win for Cody, like Cena in his prime. I really want Austin to show up and fuck Rock over for the nostalgia pop but Steve seems too occupied chasing chickens in his ranch
  10. Batista beat the shit out of Rey, turned heel and started doing the "put the spotlight on me" gimmick. It was dope.
  11. Hobbs is dope, who thought the match couldn't be good? Morons on Twitter? lol
  12. Batista vs Cena was nicely built. I don't think Bret vs Vince had anyone excited about it, but it was a natural feud and "logical" matchup. And the Legacy match was also a natural conclusion to a long term angle/stable. MITB didn't really need booking effort and sadly the women were still "book them for the piss break" status. Don't really remember if HHH vs Fella had a real build. I just remember me thinking HHH was going to put his protege over and he won
  13. When anyone tries to take advantage of having a moral high ground, they will be judged more harshly when they finally compromise. You can't have it both ways.
  14. I actually didn't think Punk said anything we didn't suspect about AEW by just watching their product and reading basic stuff about how Tony rans the company. He said some hilarious shit, like the guaranteed money stuff, WWE's medical infrastructure or the time he went to say hi to Bailey and others. But I didn't think he went "scorched earth" on anyone, which was a lot of the reaction I was reading before actually listening to the interview.
  15. Saw the CMLL vs AEW tag match from tonight. It was a fun match, specially because the crowd was incredibly hot. We need more Mistico vs Claudio. Mox looked like shit, lol. And they booked Danielson vs Blue Panther in a singles match FOR NEXT FRIDAY
  16. That shouldn't have made me laugh as hard as it did, lmao.
  17. You trying to use Coli emojis here never stops being funny And I have no clue why Rock didn't go with "High Chief" like his grandpa. It would add much more to the coming friction and feud with Reigns.
  18. Cody being as over and the best babyface WWE could possibly imagine in this day and age Is what has allowed Rock to cook with his character. There's no Vince micro managing nor an overall fear of their main babyface (Cena) not looking strong against him. Fans rejecting Rock vs Roman for this year's Mania was the best thing that could've happened to them. It forced Rock to drop the lazy "Dwayne Johnson, social media jaggernaut" act and at the same time it let him know he could have fun being a heel doing whatever the fuck he wanted because Cody could take it and come out looking stronger. And the Roman side of the ecuation Is still untapped. That part of the angle r starts once WM finishes. I just hope we don't lose this version of Rock soon. Even if he just shows up 2-4 times the rest of the year, I don't want him going back to Dwayne for the Reigns feud.
  19. Replacing the Hardy's with MCMG soundd like right move.
  20. Hey, finally some recognition.
  21. Oh for sure, but my point is that Dragon probably wants to have that test first instead of waiting till after him and Ospreay do dumb shit (to our delight) for 30 minutes in April, lol.
  22. Considering Ospreay is probably gonna be the most dangerous one Dragon is gonna have this year, make sense he wants to have the Shibata one out the way ASAP just in case.
  23. i get that, but at the same time, there's more prominent matchups than that one to chose for a main event spot for a show like this one.
  24. The start of the show had a slightly higher start (it's been in the mid to high 900's since late January). The Young Bucks continue to be ratings death. Okada gonna have to do some heavy lifting with their carcass. Main event did horribly as expected too. It will take a long ass time for a match like that one to not make AEW fans chance the channel.
  25. The only number that mattered was the attendance, which was at the very least 7.7k paid (probably ended up at 8k) and close to 10k total in attendance. Ratings were never going to move for something that was never advertised. This is not 2021 anymore, AEW is cold as fuck when it comes to weekly TV, they were not debuting a new show and even the not announced return of Punk was better promoted with waay more wink wink silly stuff (plus, him coming back after 7 years + all the drama during his time out was bigger than Mercedes simply debuting in another company).
