Sports Illustrated fired everyone on staff like 2 days before that rumor hit Twitter. "Multiple sources close to HHH" ain't telling the Mania plans to anyone in S.I, come on now man
-
That was not a good Rumble match, oh well.
-
All those big elimination while JD McDonagh music hit was utterly bizarre. I guess McAfee took too damn long on his spot?
-
The wording in the document is that the WWE employee was in the board of directors, which neither Bruce or Dunn were at the time, I think. I saw a clip from Thursrton were he said that only 4 people could be Steph, HHH, Nick Khan or Frank Riddick
-
Yeah, which is why is later said that if WWE is directly involved in Vince's abuses it will probably be a cases with more victims and even more damning evidence.
-
I think you are making this case something it's not. I didn't read the whole thing, but from what I understand, Grant doesn't want to uncover all the fucked up shit that happened (happens?) in WWE under Vince. She wants reparations over that senile fucker not paying her what he signed for in the NDA after all the fucked up shit he did to her. She's not trying to prove other people knew exactly what McMahon was doing. WWE is not going to trial and doesn't have to prove anything in this case. If WWE is ever involved in a case regarding these abuses, it more than likely will have more than 1 victim that takes them to court and it's gonna be a slew of more evidence, so who knows how viable a defense they could mount. All I know is that Vince has a history of fucked up behavior, and the amount of NDA's he made women sign just in the last few years tells you he was unhinged, and who knows for how long. At least from my experience investigating this type of stuff (albeit from a different country), the tight knit circle of the abuser always knows. At best they know very little because they don't wanna know the details and convince themselves "that's just who (the abuser) is, it can't be THAT bad", but they know.
-
Oh, I know. Just wondering if shareholders could hold them accountable for running a fake investigation if they wanted to and if anything could come out from that. Or if it's just one of those cases were there's nothing anyone can do about it.
-
Is there any posible repercussion from that investigation being a sham, as Grant claims it was?

Vince finally resigning just because Slim Jim put their sponsorship in pause (and according to Fightful, there was a potential sponsor that decide to drop off negotiations today) is the corporate world in a nutshell. Only way something happens is if the people charge's money is in danger.
-
I'll be shocked if Danielson doesn't get his match with Blue Panther before All In. TK gave him ZSJ in Seattle, a G-1 tournament, high profile Toky Dome match, a Nagata match...
-
Yeah, this deviant and abusive behavior is not something that "shocks" me, I truly expect the absolute worst out of people like Vince, but it's still fucked up to read. This senile motherfucker was showing off his abuse like he's a little kid showing baseball cards. And of course everyone else was probably like "oh, this fucked up old man, he never changes, so amusing".

Yeah, re-educating their audience is gonna take time and some hard pills to swallow. I know there's at least a couple of Canada shows that have had very promising advances (3-5k already sold) but others are looking just as grim as the rest of the U.S shows. They probably need Revolution to be an incredible PPV with new big signings showing up and building some buzz once again. They are gonna have Ospreay and for their business sake, they gotta get at least Mercedes. Not sure Okada would make much of a difference, though I've heard Meltzer say he's sold some late tickets when announced for AEW TV.
-
It seems AEW decided to stop the Buy 1 Get 1 free ticket deals and heavy discounts in the week leading up to shows, so TV tapings are struggling like a motherfucker to sell. Tonight's Dynamite is at 1,8k tickets. They are truly becoming a PPV-only promotion (Revolution sold out (15k tickets) 3 months in advance and they could probably get 20k sold if they decided to run a small stage/entrance). Also, TK is making Copeland vs Suzuki commercial free.
-
No doubt. It's a smart choice because by 2030 the media landscape will probably be changing again. We've been saying media rights can't keep going up for the past 7 years I feel like so who knows if by 2030 the bubble has finally burst or if Netflix gets a "cheap" deal out of opting in for another 5 years. And if streaming goes to shit, then dropping WWE wont hurt them as much.
-
Would be kinda crazy if in 10 years WWE has hit a new peak and could get more money elsewhere and then Netflix just reups for another decade, lol.
-
Huge move. I guess initially the plan will be for Smackdown to sell tickets for U.S shows and Netflix subscriptions. While Netflix just gives them a shitload of money and helps them become a juggernaut internationally. I guess they are gonna start getting even more offers from overseas to do big stadium shows and possibly long tours without much expenses for WWE?
-
They really are having money problems. Gotta start actually pushing the younger generation. It's been 12 year since they last did it and they have a good crop of guys that can revitalize a division that's been stale for half a decade. I wonder if Okada comes back for a mega push in 5 more years or so or if he goes the Nakamura route and decides to stay in the U.S with his family.
-
I hope this excursion helps Perry become a better wrestler so at least someone gains something out of all of this.
-
The Middle Age Bucks. I expect some crazy ass shit for that match closing out Revolution. I just hope Sting takes cares of himself, I know he'll wanna do some crazy ass shit so the Bucks better take care of him.

1 week in and the Undisputed Kingdom feel as forgettable and unmemorable as expected. Wardlow looks like a just wants to go home and play video games.
-
"Just play my music the entire time I'm out there Tony, that way you wont hear the boos on TV" - Chris Jericho, probably.
-
May should drop a "I did an armdrap" t-shirt. That was so damn disrespectful by Toni
-
Oh, and Naito's first defense is a rematch with SANADA. Tsuji is also having a rematch with Uemura. New Japan "WK Backlash" in Sapporo
-
Unless he was just lying in the press conference, yes, he's leaving. And he's putting the belt on EVIL as his last singles match, lol.
