  1. That's where I'm going at. If WWE had gotten them there would be much more talk about it, but since Tony is the one signing them, it's business as usual. I find that pretty interesting.
  2. Meltzer is reporting Rocky Romero is now part of AEW's front office. Tony Khan raided the fuck out of New Japan and people are just ok with it, oh how times have changed.
  3. Yeah, surprised they gave Okada a full sweep of every singles match he had this year. Went out like the Ace still, lol. Danielson vs ZSJ was incredible. One of those "game of human chess" matches that was done almost perfectly. Just absolutely loved Dragon screaming "FUCK!" at the 20 minute mark because he was the first one forced to do a rope break. They HAVE to end this with a submission match. Danielson got the first one out of sheer violence. Zack got this one out of a pin reversal but the roles were changed on this match as Bryan was the one coming out on top of most of the mat exchanges, and I gotta say I forgot how dope Dragon could be when he's not concerned about making the other guy look awesome (because it's not needed) and he can try his on shit to be the one being showcased. PS: I was dying laughing at that one loud Japanese fan that started chanting for Bryan, then went for Zack, then switched back and forth until Danielson refused a rope break and then the guy was just full on supporting Zack. Them loud ass "NO!" chants whenever Dragon hit a strike had me PS2: Oh shit, Danielson asked for a 2 out of 3 falls on "neutral ground" (not AEW or New Japan). I guess he's gonna try to have the match on Rev Pro.
  4. As expected, Mercedes already with a really good impact on tickets sales. Just in presales they've sold over 4k for the Boston show. I highly doubt TK will be able to book in a way to sustain this kind of positive impact but at least he's gonna reap the early benefits of having her.
  5. No, he's gonna get injured again in the build up to whatever big match he has next.
  6. I mean, the one that looked like a clown was Seth (in more ways than one). He was the real afterthought, had to stand there while 3 people were fighting for the real world title AND then became Cody's hype man I hope Roman and Rock's interactions don't disappoint. Heyman losing his shit at Rock making fun of his cousin and Roman trying to Tribal Chief his way against Rocky should be grade A fuckery. Reading the reactions from Saturday till today, I was honestly shocked at how little faith fans had on Rock making this shit entertaining. This is the type of situation he always thrives in.
  7. Yeah, we gonna get a waaaay more entertaining version of The Rock now that he has to actually try and not just go through the motions with the fans. We in for some highly entertaining fuckery fellas.
  8. The "Bo$$ton" graphic is a dead giveaway too. But to be honest, even though the wink wink I know you know promoting worked like a charm for Punk in Chicago, I think current AEW would've benefited more from straight up announce she was going to debut there. I hope I'm wrong though, they need all the momentum they can get and Revolution two weeks prior to that Boston show is gonna be a huge PPV to get things going.
  9. Hangman losing his mind because he doesn't want Swerve to win the belt is a nice angle. Now I wanna see how they book the three way.
  10. I'm all for live crowds booing Rock, forcing him to react on the spot and not do the same old rutine and catchphrases. Him having to be real and improvise is what makes him a special performer. I'll be shocked if he doesn't pivot to a more "Hollywood Rock" type of persona when the boos start on Thursday's press conference.
  11. Talk about a showcase, Hechicero did 95% of that match and took full advantage of it. Made Danielson look like an amateur.
  12. Rock working heel because the crowd turned on him taking Cody's spot would be great though, he might actually cut a real promo in buildup!
  13. Pandora's box is about to open.
  14. Hechicero vs Danielson at Collision. Let's buy that plane ticket for Panther next, Tony!
  15. Bryan's "statement" is probably using the YES taunt all the time now. When got to AEW he said he didn't want to use it out of respect to WWE and Vince or some shit I think people mix up Bryan being honest and willing to answer any question in interviews -specially when he was in WWE, were that kind of stuff wasn't the norm- to him being any sort of moral compass. I would be interested in someone once again asking him about Vince to see if he has an honest answer or if he just asks the interviewer to not talk about the subject. The Bellas statement is weird as fuck because Laurinaitis is their step dad and he's mentioned as an active participant in A LOT of Vince's abusive behavior.
  16. I mean, keeping Brody King and Julia Hart is the only thing that really matters for AEW. Losing Black and Buddy doesn't hurt them at all considering they need to liberate some spots on that roster and giving their problems booking them, nothing of real value is lost.
  17. The final sequence of Nagata blocking one of Danielson's kicks, leading to Dragon having to use some faints to knock Yuji down and then hit his finisher was fucking dope. Damn good match as expected.
  18. To be fair, he once again had an interview were he said he's more interested in something "long term" (can't remember the exact wording) rather than just doing 1 match. If the Roman feud is a long one, it's probably for the best it doesn't involve the WWE Title.
  19. I thought Punk looked awful tonight. Though that's probably because a battle royal is probably the least fitting match for him. He looked gassed, weak and as uncoordinated as ever. The Mania match against Seth is the one were he'll probably cook though.
  20. Sports Illustrated fired everyone on staff like 2 days before that rumor hit Twitter. "Multiple sources close to HHH" ain't telling the Mania plans to anyone in S.I, come on now man
  21. That was not a good Rumble match, oh well.
  22. All those big elimination while JD McDonagh music hit was utterly bizarre. I guess McAfee took too damn long on his spot?
  23. The wording in the document is that the WWE employee was in the board of directors, which neither Bruce or Dunn were at the time, I think. I saw a clip from Thursrton were he said that only 4 people could be Steph, HHH, Nick Khan or Frank Riddick
  24. Yeah, which is why is later said that if WWE is directly involved in Vince's abuses it will probably be a cases with more victims and even more damning evidence.
  25. I think you are making this case something it's not. I didn't read the whole thing, but from what I understand, Grant doesn't want to uncover all the fucked up shit that happened (happens?) in WWE under Vince. She wants reparations over that senile fucker not paying her what he signed for in the NDA after all the fucked up shit he did to her. She's not trying to prove other people knew exactly what McMahon was doing. WWE is not going to trial and doesn't have to prove anything in this case. If WWE is ever involved in a case regarding these abuses, it more than likely will have more than 1 victim that takes them to court and it's gonna be a slew of more evidence, so who knows how viable a defense they could mount. All I know is that Vince has a history of fucked up behavior, and the amount of NDA's he made women sign just in the last few years tells you he was unhinged, and who knows for how long. At least from my experience investigating this type of stuff (albeit from a different country), the tight knit circle of the abuser always knows. At best they know very little because they don't wanna know the details and convince themselves "that's just who (the abuser) is, it can't be THAT bad", but they know.
