More Bryan fuckery. http://www.straitstimes.com/lifestyle/entertainment/wwe-viewership-in-singapore-stays-strong-superstar-daniel-bryan-says . Highlights

Apparently this was taken yesterday from RAW before the end of the show.

That would make more sense if Dreamer wasn't going to be on a tables match at the PPV and already got put through one on Smackdown. You can't say you want to take care of your wrestlers when you have broken down Dreamer doing something he shouldn't. Bryan doesn't know any better, neither does Dreamer. And again, Christian is always left out of this conversation but he didn't have a risky style at all and was forced to retired after he got a concussion. I didn't bring up Christian because he is a guy that I agree with you that the WWE is being hypocritical about the issue. However I should note that its just a very possible scenario that they are actually not that concerned about Christian's health, but that it was something they can make logkcal sounding excuse to 1. write out the guy that Vince actually never saw as a star and that he was an ugly looking guy who couldn't reach Vince's preferred note that the champion is a guy men wanted to hang out with or provide inspiration for themselves and that women wants to fuck him. Then 2. It gives them an easy example to provide when they try to convince people that they care about their wrestlers' health. Especially in the wake of CM Punk's shoot. Now the other thing is sure, Tommy Dreamer is going to risk himself going through tables but much like when they booked Shane McMahon as a fearless daredevil that would do incredible and incredibly stupid stunts. I remember the wrestlers being upset that Shane got to shine the few times he wrestled because he could afford to just go home whenever he felt like it to heal up all the possible injuries Shane may have suffered through. The others didn't have that luxury. They had to drive to the next town and continuing on without a break or a "bye week". So I see Dreamer in a similar situation. Dreamer isn't gonna wrestle again for a long while or however he feels like it. Two table spots are easier for the WWE to deal with than the guy who does have to drive to the next town for the next show if he comes back as a full time wrestler and does suicide dives night in and night out because the suicide dive isn't something he saves for special WWE network event. It is actually part of his everyday moveset and doing it as his signature move much like Flair's getting thrown off the top of the turnbuckle and never being smart enough to know that spot never succeeds but he still does it because goddamn it the fans expects that out of every Flair match. Also the suicide dive isn't all that he does frequently but should be scaling back and removing the diving headbutt from his everyday moveset. Harley Race warns people not to do the headbutt because its inherently a tough spot to recover from and then theres that theory surrounding the Chris Benoit situation that part of why he snapped was because his mental capacity was that of a 60 year old alzheimer's patient and tbe headbutt has been the popular assumption of what caused that much damage to his brain. Bryan will do headbutts when he comes back because he is stubborn and thinks thats part of what people like to see from him. So no, a guy with his injury history and proved to be capable of lying to the WWE and hiding his injuries. What can Vince do with that? I get your point. I still think it's bullshit on WWE's part but I see what their rationale is. Still, look at this regarding the bolded... He was cleared to compete full time for two months basically. And Bryan stopped doing the diving headbutt, he was still doing moronic stiff headbutts with Ziggler though. He doesn't know any better, but again, neither does Dreamer. What I'm saying is that they are being so careful with Bryan and Christian but not with Dreamer, that kinda tells me that there might something else preventing them being cleared than their well being.

So WWE doctors cleared Tommy Dreamer, who has admitted multiple concussions and severe memory loss, and let him get put through a table on Smackdown. But Christian and Daniel Bryan can't get clearance...

Oh I know ratings don't matter. But to Vince they always did, so it's kinda weird that all of a sudden he doesn't give a fuck anymore.
-
Yeah, why y'all think Vince hasn't panicked about the ratings like in previous occasions? This has been a steady decline for months now and he hasn't even tried to change things up. Weird.

PTBN Reaction Show: Survivor Series 2015

Re: Spanish commentary. Announcing is way better in the sense of Carlos and Marcelo not burying talent. But the broadcast as a whole took a nosedive once Hugo stopped being a heel color commentator (which was in 04' or 05'), since then it's been very vanilla commentary. They replaced Hugo Savinovich with Marcelo like 5 years ago, and he tries to play a more heelish role but the banter with Carlos isn't good at all. So yeah, Spanish commentary isn't very good either but for completely different readons than the US one. Also, they've never been micro managed as Cole and others. Or at least you can't really notice it because they are always saying shit that make it seem they have a lot of freedom. -
On one hand I'm bummed that Rusev is gonna be used as the new Kane/enforcer for The Authority (unless it's a one night only type of deal). On the other though, Rusev as the new Kane is a huge fucking improvement.
-
I honestly don't care about Sheamus anymore. So I want him to go full comedy heel like Austin and embrace the shittiness of The Authority and not give a single fuck. He's gonna get booked like shit and be forgotten after he drops the belt in January-February anyways so at least make it funny. He can still be an ass kicker in the ring, but I just don't want the same "authority figure puppet" role for him.

I'll give Corporate Fella a chance, I know he can wrestle his ass off but I hope he embraces the fuckery and is an entertaining character going forward.

Zack Sabre Jr. is not coming back to NOAH. There's some speculation he's going to NXT, specially after he was featured in the WWE.com piece.
-
Cesaro vs Reigns was awesome, as expected. Fuck that crowd though.
-
I hope they give Reigns and Cesaro a good amount of time, That can be an awesome match. It's such a shame Fella is so uninteresting as a character and the crowd barely cares about him (not that booking has given them any reason to care about him in the last 3 years). Dude is a great worker.
-
He was dead on the water before the MITB win too. He's in the same place Del Rio was before he left. Very good in the ring but crowd could care less about the guy.
-
It's sad it took an awful injury like this one to make me interested in the main event scene again. I hope Rollins can come back 100%, if he returns as a face he's gonna be over huge. So, does WWE get desperate and try to get Cena and/or Brock back for the tournament or do they take the opportunity with all these injuries to make a couple of stars? I think they'll pull the trigger on Sheamus and make him cash in on the winner if it's a face (Reigns, Cena, Ambrose, etc.) to build a filler program until the Royal Rumble.

Observer HOF prediction/ballot question thread

He wasn't really the guy on top for New Japan's resurgence (wouldn't call it peak). In fact he meant very little to New Japan when he was pushed as the top guy for a couple of years. He also doesn't have a lot of time as a great worker, and he's still very inconsistent. In 10-15 more years he'd probably be a lock, but right now I don't think it's even close. Exactly -
New Japan held a joint press conference with DDT to announce that Ibushi renew his contract....and that he will miss Power Struggle due to a neck injury, no timetable yet for his return (Cervical disc herniation).

She was, that's how she kept interfering with Vince's plans in various angles during the Attitude Era.

Isn't Vince usually referred to as WWE Chairman (of the board)? I don't think I have ever heard Vince be called CEO in kayfabe, so that reasoning would be unnecessary if true. That might be true. I know he's been called CEO before though because I learned what CEO stood for thanks to Vince. Maybe I'm mixing the english broadcast with the latin one, I know Carlos and Hugo used to refer to him as the chairman of the board or CEO all the time.
-
I always thought Hunter was given the COO title to differentiate him from Vince, who was the CEO.
-
Not the best week of reporting by Dave. He got worked on Del Rio's contract and mixed up a former Tough Enough contestant with a "very troubling" past.

Sportswriters will work on ESPN.com and other platforms. Their contracts will be honored. I just hope Lowe isn't sent to Insider
