  1. I feel like the "it's a work" argument for any AEW backstage fuckery is old. I mean sure, at some point one of these stories will be a wotk, maybe, but so far we are like 0 for 20, it's never been a work.
  2. Him cussing Tony out is the only justifiable thing Punk did all weekend, lol. Specially after the travel issues he had, he was probably ready to chew someone out anyway with that alone. Then the Perry stuff happens and Punk explodes again. I like the report of Joe basically going "you are NOT gonna fuck up my match in front of 80,000 people" and making sure Punk was ready for the opener. I'ma believe that one until disproven
  3. He instigated shit with both Eddie and Andrade IIRC. Perry is getting suspending for instigating shit with Punk...
  4. The reason I asked about possible suspensions yesterday was because unless your name is Sammy Guevara, Tony set the precedent of people getting suspended when there's backstage physicality. Honestly don't know how to feel about him staying put and possibly not using Punk in Chicago when that crowd WILL chant for him and probably will hijack any match that has an Elite member. I hope Don Callis and Takeshita take advantage of the atmosphere they gonna encounter on Sunday...
  5. The last year of AEW fuckery in one sentence.
  6. I think that will depend on how many tickets they sell for Wembley next year. I think the main reason Tony was able to stash any big singles match was because the show was basically sold out 8 weeks in advance. I don't think that will be the case next year unless AEW gains big momentum in the first half of 2024. So TK will be forced to put more effort on the card and the build up to it.
  7. He's been doing the legdrop since he returned, he mostly does it to get heat. Not sure he needed in the Joe match but I didn't mind it.
  8. I wonder if there's gonna be any suspension stemming from the Perry/Punk altercation. Tony has to come up with 3 big cards in the next 5 weeks with All Out (some matches announced but doesn't seem we have the main event yet, unless it's Omega vs Takeshita), Grand Slam and Wrestle Dream. Doesn't seem he can afford losing Punk again.
  9. Tony just confirmed that next year he'll book All In and All Out in back to back weekends again (and Chicago will continue to get that PPV) He also said AEW will make money for All Out this year just with ticket revenue (that will be over 1 million) and even if they don't sell a single PPV they'll be making money for that weekend.
  10. I was sports entertained by that main event. Also, that coffin match was crazy, lol. FTR closing this incredible 2023 run with a tag title match against Darby/Sting is the right thing to do. A very entertaining show, I hope it's was good enough live for next year's show. Tony sure loves his PPVs on a local holiday.
  11. BTW, JR has got to leave the commentary booth. He's a detriment to every single match he calls/comments.
  12. FTR vs Young Bucks was great. My only complain is the suplex exchange between Dax and Matt (though I did appreciate Dax fighting through it and showing struggle to get control) but the rest really well done. The kickouts were big but it worked 100% and it was really cool how they were able to get that whole stadium on their feet.
  13. Punk vs Joe was a blast. Loved the Funk's tributes and Punker finally hitting the Pepsi Plunge for the W was an awesome touch. Great opener. BC Gold vs Kenny/Ibushi/Hangman was fine but the stadium atmosphere kinda killed it in a way. It's a match that needed a more heated atmosphere and that's not gonna happen in a 6 man tag in a huge place like Wembley. About to start the tag match. Surprised at the card order so far, I guess the point is to let the crowd breathe as much as possible before the main event?
  14. I thought this was interesting Danielson would probably never answer Shad's call because he barely uses his phone. And if he did, I highly doubt he'd take the gig.
  15. This one hurts. Rest in peace to the GOAT.
  16. I couldn't understand what that tweet even means to be honest.
  17. I can't believe that with Bushiroad's business going to shit in the last week, and needing SOMETHING to get some momentum back, the announced matches that are aimed to sell tickets for the next Sumo Hall show is this pitiful shit NJPW "DESTRUCTION IN RYOGOKU", 09.10.2023 Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan - 7 Match Series 7th: Yuji Nagata, Shota Umino & Master Wato vs. Minoru Suzuki, Ren Narita & El Desperado - STRONG Openweight Tag Team Title: Alex Coughlin & Gabe Kidd (c) vs. El Phantasmo & Hikuleo - NEVER Openweight Title: David Finlay (c) vs. Tama Tonga - IWGP World Heavyweight Title: SANADA (c) vs. "King of Darkness" EVIL
  18. Oh man, Eddie against Hero with a whole stadium at his disposal? bah gawd.
  19. Hausman's report on the whole thing is hilarious https://www.hausofwrestling.com/2023/08/14/more-on-christopher-daniels-others-not-at-aew-collision-exclusive/ This dude is too fucking old to be acting like this And The Elite continue to get all these stories out to repeat the same cycle: 1) there's a good feeling about something related to Punk. 2) Punk can't help himself and does something to stir the pot publicly (via interview, social media or AEW TV). 3) We get a number of new negative stories related to Punk. 4) Punk falls back. 5) Go back to 1). We've been waiting 11 months for that and it doesn't seem it will ever happen.
  20. That's awesome. Eddie was so fucking happy (and nervous) at their first meeting. Him getting to do this interview is gonna be a complete nerd out, lol.
  21. Just look how fucking happy (and nervous) Eddie is in his first meeting with Kawada.
  22. Damn, people already forgot we got Punk/Joe IV a month ago, lol (well, technically that happened a long ass time ago but no one counts their non title and non-ROH matches).
  23. Welp, MJF vs Cole for Wembley is official. Not the strongest segment but it got the job done, I guess.
  24. Omega also reportedly was the only member of the Elite who was fine with Punk coming back or even doing business with him. Given how vastly different both reports are, I wouldn't believe either one.
  25. I can feel the carnyness going through my veins. Wembley gonna have a ton of fun with this one.
