Goodness. This is a total wildcard type guy for me right now cause I remember loving so much of his stuff when it was happening but I've changed so much since I've watched that I have no idea how some of it holds up. He gets a pretty good ladder match out of friggin' Kazarian (might have been being a weirdo and going by Kaz) and from my recollection it was essentially the Christian show. I think his TNA run will be a bit of the decider. Remember him being a top heel being darn good. Granted that might be some rose colored glasses. Probably one of the guys I'm most looking forward to revisiting to be honest.

Terrible compromise then. If he's an imaginative high flyer he should be able to come up with a competent non-high flying finisher.

Can I first say that is really appreciated? I know it'll never be great or anything since I'm not a terribly strong writer but since I already plan on recording my thoughts I might as well let the world see them. And I also notice when I'm trying to do a play-by-play write-up or something like that I can't really focus on the overall concept of the match and only the happenings. So can't grasp story or really emotion. Though I've toyed with the idea of trying my brand of STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS writing for a match. Second, Kotoge is a fantastic choice for this. I've watched a good chunk of the major stuff, though I'll be hitting those matches for the blog eventually, but trying to really find some stuff maybe outside my own realm. Don't watch a ton of Kotoge but his work during King of Trios '11 was TONS of fun so I'll be really interested to see how he's improved. I'm not against going beyond 2 matches it just seems to have been working out that way. Like, I have a Meiko Satomura post that'll probably be up tonight where I could only find 2 matches easily on the web that I thought looked interesting. Also not apposed to doing the same worker or promotion more than once if they have the stuff. Again, really want to thank you for the feedback and the match recommendations. I don't think anyone is being too tough on Parv, he just isn't saying the words h wants to say I understand prioritizing and that's what Parv wants to talk about but dropped his words at the door.

Would not be opposed to getting other podcasts on board so it wouldn't have to be the same group every few months working a different podcast into their lives.

I would like to second the semi-regular part scheduling of a GWE podcast.

Rich or Joe or someone who thinks they would give Ricochet a gander should do a list like Stomper did for Bryan. Actually just want one of those lists for pretty much every guy, especially indie fellas. But I can see after the past few years why he would be considered. I probably won't put him on my list but I've got so much damn wrestling to watch I have no idea how it'll shake out. Feel like "the perfect PWG wrestler" might make some moves by being REALLY athletic. Plus he's had quality stuff with Cesaro and Zayn.

I think the deadline of 2016 needs to stay in place. Cause even in 5 years I wouldn't come close to watching all I have wanted to watch. There's also another massive reason in if we actually want a list to come together(I very much do). Some say "It isn't the destination its the journey" but I'd still like to end up somewhere. Maybe instead of waiting 10 years after this one we do it every 5 years. That's a sizable amount of time and it is likely we'll keep on taking down some gaps in that process. The list probably won't change as much but planning 10 years in advance is a terrible idea in my eyes.

I'm 21 and I've had my views on wrestling changed pretty drastically in that short period of time that we call life. Not going to do a big post cause I'm a scumbag: When I was young my dad had me watch WWF Raw with him. I started getting a bit older, he no longer cared, but Monday night became a bit of a ritual. My bed time would always be a little later that night because the last thing I did before going to bed was getting out the worn VHS tape and putting it into the VHS player and pressing record. Then I got to watch the first segment up to the commercial. It was a helluva time. Also want to include I had no idea about WCW at this time. No other reason just to give you an idea on what I was raised on. MICK FOLEY AND STONE COLD! Now I'm going to be terrible with measuring time but maybe someone can approximate things based on matches. Fell out of love with the GREAT SPORT, as the kids called it because none of my friends were watching it. They didn't NOT like it they just didn't watch it. Stopped recording Smackdown! and Raw and just didn't watch anymore. Wasn't until 2006 apparently, just did a quick google search of a memory, that I decided to give it another go. It was less of a conscious decision and more I stumbled upon TNA at the very end and remembered the good old days. It must of been AJ Styles vs Shannan Moore that I had caught cause I remember Daniels throwing in the towel. The Impact Zone felt different and unique from WWE, I was in again. And DVR. From TNA I branched into indie wrestling through Samoa Joe. I discovered ROH and had no idea what I was looking at. Ordered Joe vs Kobashi after some research. Had never ordered a wrestling DVD before outside of WWE ones from Amazon. It was different. Welp, I gobbled that DVD up and then was into a whole new realm of wrestling I had no idea about before. ROH got me to start watching more critically. I was very much into workrate stuff and was for a long time. Probably up to 2010. Like Davey Richards was my boy and Cena was utter trash. Someone posted the WKO100 on Wrestling Forum and my head started spinning. One hundred wrestlers and a ton I had never even heard of. A good chunk of posters were dismissive but not me. I had no idea why Cena and Henry were so high and had very little clue who Blue Panther was. I didn't feel like I was smart and I don't like feeling that way but I enjoy changing that. Probably didn't look back into WKO too much until 2 Cold Scorpio versus Vordell Walker happened in 2012. I thought it was absolutely marvelous but still had reservations calling it one of the better indie matches of the year for some pre-conceived notion of what a match has to have to be GREAT. That is something for the most part I think I've changed. Heard WKO was all over that match and thought maybe my tastes are more align now and WHAM they were. Probably started digging into lucha at the end of 2012 into 2013 and I feel like a whole new fan. I've almost done a 180 on what I like in wrestling. The guys that didn't change though remain my favorites. Such as Foley and Danielson. You can approach wrestling in so many ways and none of them are at all wrong and that may be my biggest view change. I'm no longer as dismissive and can appreciate where people are generally coming from even if I like some different things in my wrestling these days. PS Not incredibly short.

WELL HEY GUYS! I've been doing a thing where I give my thoughts on matches that I've missed in 2014. Here's some guidelines if you will: -I want to keep the posts focused on either one promotion, show, or wrestler -I'm looking for things on YouTube or DM -Only promotion I'd like to eliminate from the equation is CMLL. Everything else from indies to Japan to other promotions in Mexico are fair game -Feel free to provide multiple groupings of suggestions. -I'd prefer it be something you think I might like but I'm totally cool with it being some wrestlecrap That's it. Would be really helpful if you guys sent some links. Thanks for either giving the blog a read or giving a suggestion OR doing both if you are really cool. PS I'll be doing another post like this at some point next month for the GWE project. PPS I'll comment a link to each post made based on this thread IN this thread with PWO EXCLUSIVE thoughts.
