Correct me if Im wrong but when RVD came in wasen't he busting people open with the Van Daminator?

Sasha's been involved in 3 injuries in her 5 1/2 years in WWE. There's no real basis for her getting a reputation other than women's wrestling fandom tend to start a witch hunt after every injury. Like Nia Jax got a ridiculous amount of social media hate when Bayley got injured last summer which you rarely see when a man gets injured. When and who else got injured?

Jerry Lawler vs. Bill Dundee - The best sought
iamthedoctor replied to thebrainfollower's topic in Pro Wrestling
Didn't Lawler & Dundee have a match last year? -
Alot of fans are calling the injury BS as Paige was doing cartwheels on Twitter and said she'll be mystery number 30 in the Rumble and win the thing. No idea how true that is.
-
Sloppy Sasha? I guess this isn't the first time she's injured someone then?

Has there been any update on whats in Meltzers collection of boxes of wrestling media?

This really sucks. After everything that has gone on the past year or so, I think she's looked really good since her return and has been a shot in the arm for the Women's division on RAW. Let's hope that it's not a long term issue and she will be back soon, but you have to fear with serious neck injuries that they never fully heal up. Really feel for her. Unless its a work where she is a suprise entrant and wins the thing. Never been a fan of her and don't think that all the stuff she did and acts off TV no way should she have basically gotten away with everything. Turning up on Impact should have been the final straw to Vince giving her walking papers. What difference does it make to anyone in the WWE audience that she went to an Impact taping? Why would you care and want her to lose her job? I can't stand her. She's completely childish and seriously needs to grow up and this is coming from someone who saw her on a independant show and wasent impressed with her attitude.

Theres alot of WCW they would have to put up then if theres Saturday Night, Main Event, Power Hour, Pro & Worldwide from the 90s.

I couldn't agree more. Cena being the one to break the streak around 2007 time is when it should have happened. Having Brock beat Taker and then Roman and this year likely Cena wont mean as much as it could have been.

Your Wrestling Pet Peeves/Utter Hatreds
iamthedoctor replied to JaymeFuture's topic in Pro Wrestling
Was going to start a new thread to ask this but found a search so hope its ok. Thinking about Pet Peeves there are two that come to mind. 1. Kickout of multiple finishers just because its Wrestlemania. 2. Is the big one where say a wrestler who is on top and then because he goes out of the main event scene he suddenly becomes a jobber. Just for a example ill say Yokozuna. When he came in he was virtually unstoppable and aside from the 2 Mania matches where he defended twice apart from that he just dominated everyone. Then he goes out of the main event scene and hes losing to a ton of guys. Sure if its a new guy like Vader im willing to accept but for guys that had been there for a while just to put them over so they can go on to better things just didnt seem right. Vader was another one debuted, kicked people asses and after his push fizzles out hes on Heat getting pinned by Edge who as this time was a new comer and I believe he had already lost to Gangrel on a Raw I think. -

Been watching the Scott Hall DVD about his career which got me thinking about his run with the IC belt. Really enjoyed the matches he had but the one that did lack was the Jarrett match at Mania as back then and now I still feel it wasen't worthy of a Mania match. I think if he had held the belt from Summerslam 94 and then dropped it to Shawn the following year in the Ladder match who would have been the best choice for a Wrestlemania 11 match? Id of had Razor go over Jarrett at the Rumble but scratching my head as to who would have been a good choice for a Mania match for the IC belt. Obviously Shawn isn't happening because he's fighting Diesel but is there anyone on the roster back then would could have had a classic with Razor? -
Looks like Undertaker/Cena is happening at this years mania.

Turning up on Impact should have been the final straw to Vince giving her walking papers. On the plus side I see Molly Holly is returning to the Rumble match so hopefully Lita and Trish will wrestle too but I would have thought with all the girls in Raw, SD & NXT they could have easily filled 30 competitors? I know they are in talks with McCool to come to the Rumble so maybe Taker will make a appearance at the PPV.
-
I hope Miz in his entire career never wins the Rumble. He should have never gone over Cena at Mania, that year was just terrible. I have no problem with Nakamura winning the Rumble but a big star name id rather see win it.

Been watching a Al Snow shoot and noticed this clip on the net. Talking about that Wrestlemania show aside from the Hogan/McMahon years in the making promotional stuff did any of the other matches get promoted at all in the media?
-
I still don't see why they surcumbed to the fans the other year and let Bryan win the gold. WWE doesn't normally buckle under fan pressure but when Bryan won the Gold and Seth Rollins did it just seemed they didn't want to do this. Would it really have made a difference if Batista had won then Roman beat Brock because they I guess they don't do the match this year.

Its suprising how decent this japan tour was and really should have had some televised coverage in Japan. I didn't realise Tenryu wrestled Yokozuna in a singles match but they also did a Royal Rumble and Bret Hart defending the WWF Belt against Macho Man which to be fair should have been the manin event of Mania. Billing the old vs new in the new Generation that would have been fantastic Randy putting over Bret in that match. Was WWE right in having Borga go over Tatanka on Superstars? I mean he had the undefeated streak for so long and to lose it on a Superstars match just so Taker can go into Survivor Series didn't seem right. I feel they should have saved it for a moment that made something. But who should have beaten the streak? -
The womens Rumble is very uninteresting. Suprised they actually want to do 2 Rumbles on 1 PPV. Del Rio winning the first ever 40 man Rumble was a dumb move as I don't feel he was ready to go over big, Id have rather had Jericho just win the thing and do another Edge/Jericho Wrestlemania. The Vince Rumble win as irked fans for years considering Austin won anyway via rulebook decision the next night, don't see why they couldn't have just made Steve the winner instead and then do the challenge on Raw the next night for the cage match. This Rumble don't really have much interest going in unlike last year when they had the big Goldberg Im winning the thing so there was a reason to watch. Even doing the whole lets give Orton the win because he juiced for Lesnar 4 months earlier was a bit silly. I wouldn't be suprised if they have Reigns beat the previous record as he is the golden boy, Id rather see Cena win but thats just a preference.

I know we got Haku/Taker while not on the same caliber as Tenryu just suprised Undertaker didn't get to work with more Japanese guys as when Hogan was wrestling over there in 91 - 93 he wrestled most of them. -

What has been the most uninteresting Championship match that WWE had advertised for a PPV? For me it had to be the casket match from the 94 Rumble. Now the thought of it sounded awesome and I believe Undertaker should have walked out with the title and battled Bret at Mania. At the time I remember being really pissed off that they just had 20 heels come out and interfere and not one face decided to help Taker. It didn't make alot of sense nor watching him get taken down for 10 minutes or however long it ran for. I've heard about Taker having a bad hip or knee at this time but the match was just terrible. While on the subject of this PPV was the timing off with Owen Hart or something? There seemed plenty of times the Quebecers were using foreign onjects and using tag moves when they haden't tagged in right in front of the referee. I think Owen probably should have come in earlier so they could do it behind the refs back but this just seemed odd. The knee injury was complete BS because if you stop the match if a competitor can't continue fair enough but Bret just tried the sharpshooter then dropped the hold and you immediately call the bell? I think that ending should have been played out a little more better. Regarding the big Rumble match wasent all impressed how Randy gets ganged on by 2 heels, same for Doink, at least make it a even playing field like feuds in the Rumble normally are. At the time I did wonder why IRS had been given the title shot instead of Shawn, would it have been wrong to do HBK/Razor at the Rumble and Mania? Say Diesel interferes causing a DQ and Shawn does some risky thing and uses a Ladder to set the match up. -
I suppose they will do whatever makes Roman look the strongest so tearing through a Rumble doing the most eliminations ever in 1 match would work better than just decimating 5 guys in a Chamber. It be silly to just have someone else win the Rumble just so they lose it a month later. If they do go down the route of Roman getting the title shot when he wins at Elimination Chamber then a Smackdown star is winning the Rumble.

Jazzy was on Edge & Christian's podcast last week and said she went for her pre-signing medicals but they found 3 herniated discs in her neck so WWE wouldn't sign her and she's gonna have neck surgery that might end her career. Im suprised they try and get Jake in the Rumble a couple years ago. I think at the time he was training with DDP and getting back in shape. Considering we are getting Roman/Lesnar for Mania it seems a foregone conclusion Roman is winning it. Personally Id rather see Cena win the Rumble.
