  1. WWE just shared on their youtube channel a clip from a unseen match from 1997.
  2. Talking about unseen matches I was really suprised the Brock Lesnar DVD set has the Mr. Perfect dark match in full. All id ever seen was a ending of the match from a sat feed that was incomplete.
  3. No only clips of it exist I'm afraid, here's the footage - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40nCbaYVgoI As for the Elrington footage, it's actually on the very end of the Johnny Kwango -vs- Jackie Pallo clip in the link I put in the second post on this page, it features 8mm film clips of 3 matches from the 1960s, sadly the YouTube version cuts off before the Elrington match gets going, I'm not sure if there's a longer version. Im sure Ive seen that footage before somewhere. Was it on the ITV Wrestling DVD set? I don't think its from the Louis Theroux documentary. I think ive seen a odd 60s clip of WOS on youtube so guessing abit is freely available out there.

  5. Is this the same match that TWC Fight aired many years ago? Is this the same match that TWC Fight aired many years ago? No it's a different 1, it didn't actually air on ITV, it's taken from 8mm film, here's a link, it's the second match in the video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0bavm4Bcuw Thats pretty cool footage. Im guessing thats from the Royal Albert Hall?

  7. I can. The Clash when Pillman grabbed his coat.
  8. As a kid my boy was Barry Horowitz as digged his checkered blue or Black & Green trunks he wore. Marked the hell out when he beat Chris Candido on Wrestling Challenge and then the undefeated Hakushi. After he had been a jobber for years and then got a sort of push alough im suprised they never put a belt on him, kinda wanted him to be IC champ in the autumn months of 1995.
  9. Maven was great and what made him so special was he was on the first tough enough and worked his way to a contract. When he bagged the Hardcore Belt and eliminated Taker at the Rumble and beat him on Smackdown I hoped Maven would have had a run with the IC belt.

  12. This means one of two things. Either the WON did provide more details and Csonka isn't passing it on (possible) or more likely, Dave Meltzer is doing another one of his famous "I know the real reason something happened, and I'm going to tell you that I know, but I'm not going to actually report on the details of what I know" deals. I HATE when he does that. He's done it several times over the past couple of years, and it drives me nuts. If you're a reporter, and you have a story, then report the damn story. If you can't report the story for whatever reason (don't want to give a source, can't confirm the story, whatever) then DON'T SAY ANYTHING. The whole topic of Baron Corbin's suddenly aborted push and speculation regarding whether or not John Cena is the reason is a very hot story right now. To me, nonsense like this report is the equivalent of a little kid dancing around chanting "I've got a secret, na-na-na-nana." I wouldn't have putten the MITB contract on Corbin in the first place, Nakamura obviously should have been given that win.
  13. I was suprised on this that Hogan got the win seeing as every house show it always ended in a DQ.
  14. Im a network subscriber not because of the drama shows but because you can watch the old wrestling shows in decent quality. Im sure its 50/50 with subscribers where half are there because of the old stuff and other half are there because its cheaper to watch the current era PPVs.
  15. I loved Jobber matches in the 1980s because when they had a big match on TV like Harts/POP or Perfect/Snuka it made the match stand out more. Over the years they have put far too many big matches on free TV instead of a special show or a PPV. Raw in the late 90s, 2000s or even going back to 2017 when your getting Cena/Nakamura should be saved for a PPV.
  16. Yet its probably the same fans who also wanted WWE to be more edgier too and push the envelope which is why the attitude era will never come back.
  17. I don't think Chris Jericho could have said this any better.
  18. They have got to show House Shows especially the older ones where there were title changes. Is it likely they filmed alot of them?
  19. Ive felt the same thing especially what he did in WCW. I absolutely hated the way everyone got stripped of the titles in 2000. Im sure some people wasen't bothered but I was looking forward to Hogan/Sid on PPV with Hogan getting the title back but since Russo was around he pretty much didn't want any of the older guys in there. Having Hogan job to Kidman was the worst thing they did, im just glad Savage had left in 99 so they couldn't do the same thing to him and WTF was up with all those title changes like Flair regaining the title just because Nash hands it to him.
  20. Hawkins should at least be winning the odd match against talent suitable for him.
  21. Ive never really got why fans harp on about Ross/Lawler being the greatest ever announce team because for me the best always has been Bobby/Gorilla.
  22. How many more times does Goldust have to job? It's not funny any more even more so than WWE promoting Curtis Hawkins 115 losing streak. It's times like this when they would have been better off staying on the independant scene.
  23. I remember a few years ago they did a Bret Hart appreciation night, a Hogan one and a JR one and a Flair one but all damn house shows. Shame they didn't film any of them.
  24. For me every time I hear about another performer passing away I just am getting closer and closer to quitting watching wrestling. It's a sad feeling when you hear about another great thats no longer with us.
  25. Yeah and its a flamming house show. Why can't they make it a TV taping.
