So im guessing the only logical way is for the Cruiserweights to screw Enzo so Kalisto wins the title.
-
Yeah Thunders when they started much like Heat had alot of good stuff for the first few months.

Didn't Bagwell's neck injury take place on Thunder? Still its a shame ithe show still isn't up there yet, Id have taken Heat instead.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
iamthedoctor replied to TravJ1979's topic in Pro Wrestling
How do you reckon WWE had gone in the year 2000 had Austin not got injured? I've always wondered if they would have done Rock/Austin at Mania 2000 instead of 2001, whether Foley would have still retired after the Feb PPV and then brought back for Mania. I don't know why but always felt had Survivor Series have happened in 99 that Austin would have won the title. For me I don't think a heel turn would have happened in 2000 but its always likely it could have unless they saved it for the year it happened. -
Obviously. Where the hell has FLIK gone BTW ? He could answer. Yeah I have. When I was watching WWE before I just enjoyed it as a fan, but once I was training after that any miscues where they took more than a second to do a move or miss something after a lock up I noticed it. Something I didn't pay attention to before Wrestling.

Is Wrestlemania 8 the only time Bobby Commentated on a PPV and came off as a face? The way he got super excited when Warrior returned was a awesome moment.
-
Its a shame they dont have any SRW matches.
-
Hopefully and maybe the Shawn set has that triple threat match.
-
I really wish they would televise this.
-
Isn't there supposed to be a Warrior one aswell?

The roster for me seemed a bunch of crybaby bullies. I mean all ganging up on 1 person. I guess they must be really tough. Saying that with the stip they lost their title shots so who does Enzo face? Neville likely gets fired from Raw so he can debut on Smackdown and feud with AJ Styles for the US belt?

The tournament was mentioned, but that's about it. I'm trying to remember if they showed any footage of the earlier round matches Alundra was in, but I don't think so. I ended up wondering the same thing - if it was a phantom tournament or real. It seemed pointless to me, even at the time, to run a tournament at all - or the claim of one - when it was so obvious Alundra was going to win. On another note entirely, I don't blame Madusa for throwing the belt in the trash. It wasn't her idea anyway, but even if it was, I remember agreeing with it at the time - or at least not disagreeing with it. WWE abandoned the entire division, including its champion, without any explanation. It annoyed me as a fan back then. It was bad enough that Madusa was miscast as a babyface. At the very least, she could've been kept around as a badass heel manager - similar to the role she played in the Dangerous Alliance. Really dumb to just let her go. I don't blame Madusa either especially if the plan was Aja Kong winning the title at the Rumble then dropping it a few months later. 2 Women battling for the belt and no roster seemed pointless having a belt. Grahams site claims there was first round matches. On a site note Im guessing WWE is making us wait for the Thunders and probably wont upload them till Sept 30th.

So I take it nobody in 205 ever gets any title shots now.
-
Did they say anything about the womens 1993 tournament? Were the round 1 matches legit or phantom?

I think if I was going pay a subscription service where Meltzer gets my money Id prefer it to be video content similar to how WWE Network works of his Wrestling Tape collection!

I don't recall Rock losing that many matches when he was a face when he came in. From memory he stood out strong in his big debut match and won the IC belt 3 months later.

While Vince's success as a booker and a businessman will always be lauded and celebrated, I wonder how much of his legacy will be tarnished by his losers as opposed to his winners. Notable examples include the WrestleMania X debacle, the Triple H reign of terror in the early 00s, the Invasion, etc. I certainly think that even now he still has some fantastic ideas and plans (just look at how hot the Raw main event scene is) but the misses are certainly in large number. Wrestlemania X main event was very disapointing. Especially how short it was compared to the previous year between Yoko/Bret. I still think it would have been better if they had pitted a old boys vs new generation storyline where Bret battled Macho Man for the title.

Personally Id have had Cena go over Roman.
-
Alot of fans on other sites are complaining one F5 and your done same what happenned to Joe. Id have hated a multiple kickout of finishers. I wonder if they'll go with Braun wins in the rematch or Brock is keeping the belt till Mania.

I liked that one but wasent overly fond of the fancam stuff, would have preferred the after Raw stuff.

No only clips of it exist I'm afraid, here's the footage - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40nCbaYVgoI As for the Elrington footage, it's actually on the very end of the Johnny Kwango -vs- Jackie Pallo clip in the link I put in the second post on this page, it features 8mm film clips of 3 matches from the 1960s, sadly the YouTube version cuts off before the Elrington match gets going, I'm not sure if there's a longer version. Im sure Ive seen that footage before somewhere. Was it on the ITV Wrestling DVD set? I don't think its from the Louis Theroux documentary. I think ive seen a odd 60s clip of WOS on youtube so guessing abit is freely available out there. Yeah the Savile stuff from the link I gave you was a DVD extra on The Best Of ITV Wrestling. The only 1960s ITV stuff on YouTube is this which I already listed - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UesKnpeMSqA Yeah I bought that DVD years ago. A great set shame they didnt do a 3rd Volume. Awesome 60s stuff there, is the McManus/Pallo match not out there in full? Timeshift showed bits and pieces to it.

I was going to mention Berzerker since I literally wrote up every one of his matches this year because of my love of him...but he felt like too good a wrestler to mention here. In fact people are mentioning a lot of wrestlers who I think are more often than not thought of as "good". Berzerker is a odd one out of the blue. I remember reading about a 40 man battle royal in WWF magazine I think the one Bulldog won and when they announced a 40 man one on Prime Time Wrestling I figured it would be this. I was suprised when Berzerker won as didn't think he had a chance against the other top stars. Early 90s WWF can be strange at times when they go Attitude era style when he tried to stab Taker with a Sword and it got stuck in the middle of the ring.

Suprisingly HBK lays down for Bret to get a 3 count in the autumn of 1997!
-
Kizarny was a interesting character. I liked those hype videos he did then he beat MVP in his debut, kinda wished he had stayed in WWE.
